Big B's films to replace KBC 2
Owing to Amitabh Bachchan's heath issues, Star Plus will rearrange the KBC schedule

The show, they say, must go on. But can Kaun Banega Crorepati 2 actually carry on uninterrupted without its lynchpin and anchor? Amitabh Bachchan's film schedules might manage to absorb the delay his illness has caused, his television show's tight program seems to be in trouble.
In fact, more episodes for the popular game show were to be recorded earlier this week, but Bachchan's illness has stalled KBC's game-plan.
Says Star's COO Samir Nair, "What can we do? Such situations cannot be helped. We'll wait for Mr Bachchan to recover. We've already recorded episodes to be telecast until December 24. We'll just space them out to cover a larger time frame than originally intended."
What Star plans to do is to turn the three-day weekend schedule for KBC into a two-day arrangement until Bachchan gets back on his feet. Nair reveals, "We'll telecast KBC on two days during the weekend – Fridays and Saturdays – instead of three days. On Sundays we will telecast a series of Mr Bachchan's films to be aired until he gets well. Then we can record the pending KBC episodes, and that's when we'll immediately revert to the three-day weekend for the show."
And although KBC 2 is currently experiencing some setbacks, it hasn't stopped the channel from planning for KBC 3. "Mr Bachchan has agreed to do the third innings of KBC, and we see no reason why it won't happen," says Nair.
