I am glad that writers are exploring this side of ema rather than the routine style. A person shouldn't be forced to be in a relationship. Seems like teji always wanted to play the victim card.. But I am also not in favour of whitewashing Seema. She is not at all a saint as she was aware about viraj having a wife and son. Afterall its all about choices and she shouldn't had crossed that boundary.
Hey guys! I'm new to this forum.. caught up with the show a week back because of all the raving on twitter and here I am.. love Katha and Viaan.. the actors are pretty amazing..Now this whole discussion going on everywhere on SM about the EMA track has left me kinda confused about how I feel lol.. I haven't yet watched the episode where Katha gets to know the entire truth and then tells Viaan everything.. so I don't know how I will feel when I actually see it play out.. but I have read updates and ofcourse it was pretty obvious from sometime now that Teji and Farah did some sh%$ in the past that they hid from their kids..
Now Vanya.. I knew she was the illegitimate daughter...had an instant dislike for the character.. not able to empathize with her or her mother even with all the dementia drama.. Don't much like Teji's character either but in this case, just saying that she was the one who kept Viaan away from his father and vice versa is not enough to hate or blame her in the entire matter or even blame her more than the other two parties.. unless they say that she married Viraj for money ..that she was a gold digger who had trapped Viraj in a loveless marriage. Even then, call it our mind set or the sanctity of marriage, fact remains that she was the wife.. she was the one who was left behind.. so the instinct as an audience will be to empathize with her.. Makers should give a solid track with legit reasons to justify making Teji the villain in all this.. Even if they do that I will not be able to empathize with Seema Dutta's character.. just coz she calls her Viraj's true love and now has dementia.. Honestly I want this track to end asap.. I want the story to focus on the leads and their complicated family dynamics.. won't mind seeing Teji and Farah as the villain there.. I know that's gonna happen at some point..
Still not clear that viraaz got married with seema or not ..if he did then its ok its legal relationship..dont know abt hindu marriage law ..without divorce 2nd marriage allow or not ..but seems like papa v send divorce paper to teju ..so it was a half divorce..I guess..
But just rehne lage seema ke saath and had a baby then relationship is not legal and we can say it was an Extra marital affair..but whole story still is not done yet ..thus no comment from my side yet but teju and Farah definitely made things worse for sure ..read a spoiler that teju hit on seemas head and after that she has dementia..so far seems to me teju is greedy woman ,unsecured, selfish etc kind of lady and Farah is the same ..so they can harm seema for sure 👍
I wont say any thing yet as love and hate 2 very delicate feelings..just want to c the whole story ..☺
I am also catching up on the episodes. I disliked Vaanya’s character instantly when she was introduced mainly because of her attitude and entitled behavior towards her team. She was neither a team player nor a good leader as she claimed to be. She was trying to do everything herself excluding her team. It was surprising that she kept doing it even after being advised by Katha.I wonder how Viaan never noticed this or was never brought to his tension by everyone. Coming to the current episodes, I am still seeing her entitled behavior when asking Viaan to accept her and her mother. What ever the situation was it’s hard to accept somebody who comes in front of you with demand to accept them!! It feels like the writers want to whitewash Vaanya and her mom’s existence in Viraj’s life. They got a letter from Viraj saying both of them had fallen out of love. But what we have seen is Teji still in love with her husband even after the affair. There seems to be a disconnect and something crucial is missing… I agree this track is boring and needs to end asap. What we were shown was how Viraj reacted and left Teji and Viaan suddenly one night, scarring Viaan mentally for life. He was not a tiny kid who his father couldn’t have explained to. Now if the makers make it as if Teji was unbearable for Viraj that he had to leave her to be with his true love, the question about why he left Viaan like that remains…. Teji and Farah could be villians, but they cannot justify Vaanya and her mom just to whitewash Viraj’s second family….. HTH is Vaanya’s mom true love of Viraj? I don’t know if the actress mistook confidence as arrogance… The way Vaanya acted at workplace was definitely arrogance. Excluding team members from information and trying to do everything herself for credit especially in a team project is definitely arrogance and ignorance, not confidence… I still wonder how she was hired in the first place seeing her arrogant behavior in the interview when asked about being a team player.. Katha is being social worker trying to solve Viaan’s problems again!! Doesn’t she have anything important to do at Earthcon? It’s totally unconvincing to see her playing detective when she is hired to work on architectural projects!! She’s already acting as his wife and Boss lady of Earthcon🤣

She went and spoke to seema to get the truth... We don't hear it... Then she decides she needs proof... So accountant uncle ki wife was tejis friend and knows the truth.. So she goes to her to convince her to tell the truth to viaan..

up till recently, divorces even by mutual consent was not an option. so any divorce would take a few years minimum to get and it would often get prolonged especially if one person refused to agree to the divorce.
in the meanwhile, the guy would often simply go ahead and get married to another and even have children while the court case is ongoing with first wife. there were plenty such cases that happened because people got tired of waiting after a few years. I read of contested divorce cases going on for 10 years or so -- some of them were super messy and basically a kind of revenge plot.
now in such cases, people didn't bother about legalities because the court case was too prolonged. so they would informally get married in a simple religious ceremony at home and then just say 'wife' and people in the guy's family would accept as second wife even if the official divorce hasn't come through.
then a few years back, the judges started to say that these prolonged contested divorces are ridiculous as you can't force someone to be with you -- meaning if you disagree to a divorce, you cannot hold the other person hostage to a relationship. you cannot force them to resume a marriage.
the change in attitudes also led to a result in revision in laws. now, even if the other person disagrees, you can still get a divorce. a mutual consent divorce takes 6 months whereas a contested divorce can take about 2-3 years under the current system. I know all of this just from reading the newspapers and so I can't tell you more specifics beyond that.
viraj's situation plays out in the context under the old complicated laws -- in some ways, teji was super sneaky in that by refusing to give him a divorce, she was able to hold on to wealth. so the question will be next on who exactly is gold digger.
she also cut off contact between father and son and spun a narrative to suit her needs -- sadly this does happen in messy divorces. I have heard of cases where people like viaan find out as adults that their fathers did try to stay in touch but were not allowed to.
so this is not a typical affair but more like viraj getting a second wife because teji refused to give him a divorce. however, the drama writers are not making this clear and going off on this tangent about how seema was his true love. 🙄 that is irrelevant.
what they should be focusing on is viraj and teji were already separated, teji refused to give a divorce and that led to prolonged mess. that would tie in to reality and what was happening in our legal system until a few years back.
It's still bigamy coz Viraj and Teji weren't officially separated lol and Seema and Viraj don't have a right to get married coz latter's marriage with Teji was still valid.
Seema remains the other woman.
