Well, considering it's Aarav that's brought them closer in a way, I can see why the writers are going this route.

Can't say I like it, though.

In the OG show, Kaan was a big part of the show, but Onur and Shahrazat were the main characters and holy smokes, their chemistry.

This show isn't about Aarav; it's about Katha and Viaan as a man and woman. A man and woman are flawed in their ways and have trust issues and how they overcome that. The woman being a mother was just one shade of her character, so It's getting a little frustrating,

Especially if they are going down the route of getting married for Aarav because that is not what the story was or should be.

They got married for themselves but gave a vital place to the child and made sure he was comfortable with the idea, but it's because that's what they wanted.

Side note, what is Aarav's age supposed to be because there is no way he's an eight-year-old ffs. He's like 10-12. His dialogues put him in a pre-teen age.

Nothing against the child actor; he's doing great in terms of what he's being told to do.

I mean, the writers, what the heck were they thinking? And if he's 12, just how old are Katha and VIaan supposed to be?

The child was supposed to be somewhere between 4 and 6 if i'm not wrong. And the point of that was so the child would be an essential part but still young enough not to understand a lot of the adult issues and wouldn't take away from the main characters.

For instance, when the main characters separate, the child is too young to understand what's happening. Aarav will demand answers and have proper thoughts. That inevitably means the writer will have to give time to his character, which takes time from the leads and changes the story.

I opined this few weeks back too. KA is finite, but they have some story to tell even post wedding. It looks like Sony gave approval to KA makers for atleast 220-250 episodes long back its now 180.

ofcourse 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm slots suit most working viewers & educated families who watch TV so KA has some loyal viewers established last 6 months.

If before KBC starts KA is not going off to having time slot change, then it probably will continue another couple months easily as KBC is starting from 11th Aug Mon to Fri9pm slot. Both will benefit with some viewership traffic vice versa. 🤗

This could be reason within two weeks Katha's confession, batman-robin reveal, people knowing Viaan-Katha are in love, bday tamasha by both side elders is done with increased pace in execution to get ready for next tracks, to align with KBC from next week. Right now NO other prime time fiction has built loyal viewership for Sony like KA. 👍🏼

Big budgeted Barsatein was heavily promoted with more hype & it was overly fast paced in July with too much too soon happening, plus two popular leads do garner eyeballs. But character building & establishing emotional connects on TV needs some time, which Barsatein hasn't yet achieved.

That show is giving me a freaking whiplash. I'm only keeping up with the two Sony shows regularly. They are also the two least toxic forums right now, and the story is worth watching, but KA has definitely established the characters well and, tbh, kept them quite consistent, which I like.

I personally want to see some conflict and growth in Katha now. She was never supposed to be a perfect character. Wonder Woman like, yes, but also flawed in her own way. Her pride was supposed to be a source of conflict in her life, and I'm still waiting on that to happen.

Frankly, the after-wedding story is also interesting up to a certain up. It's actually where a lot of the conflict starts because her character is so independent and used to doing things on her own she has a hard time letting the Main Lead in.

I simply don't get how the writers can screw up with the story and not do better when they literally have the whole story and only have to adapt it well.

If Teji & Kailash dislike someone or something, then their words, expressions, silent killer gazes, body language can give it away,😳 they are highly opinionated. From begining these two characters have been consistent in that area.

Farah is more cunningly dangerous than Teji or Kailash.

As a mom, Farah was more supportive, motivating & understanding than Teji. But as a person she is way too hideous, selfish, mostly acts/talks politically correct, carries big fake smiles but has her own plannings at the back of mind, going on non stop. 😲Ehsan her son is so contrary to Farah🤔 mostly open, flirty & jovial person,😛 if Ehsan is jealous, angry or complaining he is verbal about it.

I don’t know but feeling disturbed is it going the same OG route , after all it’s a remake .

I mean post wedding issues , like business conflicts both being architects , Teji or someone placing their sources in EarthCon to create MU between KaViaan and that leading to Viaan doubting Katha and leading to hire detective and Parallely something triggering that can cause Ehsan to investigate black night and knowing about ONS and it getting revealed . Katha thinks Viaan did it and gets heartbroken and asking divorce … and bla bla !!!

No, it isn't. They've already changed a lot. And this isn't how the conflict happened between the couple if I'm not wrong. I want matters between them to solve maturely as well, but ultimately it was supposed to be a story between two mature, passionate, independent and proud people who are flawed. Flawed people make mistakes. Passionate people make mistakes, usually the deeper the passion, the bigger the mistake because they get impulsive and blind.

That night was something they tried to move forward from, but it kept coming up in their relationship because the FL could never get over it. Although she fell in love with him but deep down, there was shame, resentment and fear of others learning about that night that never went away, and it caused trust issues deep down. The trust issues were understandable, given how their character is written and their backstory. It would be unusual for anyone to change so swiftly and just forget everything. That's just gift wrapping the trauma and problems so it looks nice on the surface, but inside, it's still a damaged piece.

They don't actually need people scheming to create differences between them, the problems can occur without anyone interference from their lives.

Thanks for your POV . But still I can’t agree . Very soon Maya didi will enter and I think the story is going to take that exact route post wedding, whenever it happens . I would like to enjoy the current happening , hope it take time and both work out with each other and though would like to see their journey post marriage , I would like to see balance they put up in how you can tackle professional front and as well as working on your marriage part , like intimacy and emotional attachment and how they melt Teji heart .

In the OG , the ML mother after some resistance felt that her son is sincerely in love with FL , so she agreed heartedly and then they got married . That will be awesome . I am only worried about the post wedding tracks , how the CVs go with !! The way they have shown so far , hope it does not contradict the post wedding the tracks whenever it happens . Maya didi angle looks worrisome for me unless she is roped in only for brief cameo role . Soone time some truth should not come out , whether it’s a fiction show ( like Katha Ankahee ) , will want this to be different than others . Fingers crossed !!!

Asking for Teji's blessings and permission is understandable , she is Viaan's Mom.

These Kaviaan are in their mid thirties 🤣and adults who are totally independent , still !

This ITV's creepiness will be " constant" they will take any story , from any where around universe still hopeless 🤣

I think she wants Aarav to have a healthy relationship with Adi’s parents in honor of his memory. I wish she weren’t that forgiving of her ex FIL, but I don’t think his non approval going to be deal breaker either.
