formal western wear can be limited to more high-end retail. so my cousin sister decided it simply wasn't worth it because she could a few outfits for that same price and went for just a top and skirt (mix and match) at a mid-price retail. so you could possibly get it cheaper if you stitch the blazer but even then I don't see too many women going to stitch blazers.

one, it is way too hot here to wear blazers. even men don't wear blazers unless it is some formal board meeting type or a posh wedding. otherwise, it is formal dress shirt even for men at work. so not many invest in blazers.

thats why I was surprised to see her in a matching set... I was thinking to myself -- she has cash to invest in blazer??? since aarav was sick, I would have expected her to go for more affordable clothing that she can just pick up at any mid-point retail.....

I think they may have been her only outfit that she's invested in and who knows how old it is, maybe she doesn't wear it often so still looks new so let's allow her 😆

Seriously dude.....to me viaan seems more like a villain.

And that's the best part about him....cause i like villains more than the hero.....heroes are like pure, kind-hearted, everyone loves them....but villains...no they are not kind-hearted....they're not pure infact they are rude, manipulative and selfish to everyone around them...but to that one person to that one girl....she's his queen.

Just waiting for their love story to begin...

Hats off to the show makers. While I don’t know if the scene between Katha and Viaan has been lifted from the og show, I want to applaud the makers for truly showing progressive thinking.

In my line of work I used to travel in Asia and every time, I come across a young girl with a old man, usually in a fancy hotel lobby or the restaurant bar area, I have colleagues esp men who will pass comments on her clothes, questioning her decision and what not.

I once replied to a male colleague “poverty is her excuse, what is his?” And the male colleague had the nerve to say it was opportunity, so he took it. So I looked at him and said “how nice for the powerful to give name of opportunity…it’s the same excuse since history of time, that rulers give when they take over countries, loot homes. It’s the same excuse companies give who pay top level people millions, but fire lower level workers. It’s not opportunity, it’s immorality. It’s high time, we shift the immorality to the one in power. Let us hold them to a higher standard, not the woman born into poverty and looking for ways to get out of it.”

After I gave this bhashan, the male colleague told me to calm down and take a drink. That is reality!

I for one am glad when Katha said, I was a mother, so everything is maaf. So true, standards are only being applied to her, what was his excuse?

Of course from the story perspective, hats off to truly envisage a man who had deep introspection, who wanted to correct his way of thinking or correct his actions.

Now if only I can say that about my male colleague’s thinking!

Wow, such a powerful story and you gave a fitting reply to your colleagues. 👏 I can’t believe that people have such a judgemental attitude even in this day and age. I agree that the confrontation scene was so good!! I’m glad the makers focused on dialogues which revealed to Viaan how flawed his judgement is.

Actually as far as I know, the original did not execute the scene like this. It was a bit more understated with the ML asking the FL why she didn’t tell about her condition, and she replies with the fact the he didn’t ask about her condition and he just judged her. But I did like the background music though.

I just rewatched Friday's episode again and one thing that came to my attention is the way Viaan was speaking to Jenny at the end of the episode. Usually when he's spoken to any women in the past even for the most basic things he would never smile a them but I finally saw him responding to Jenny with a mild smile and I loved that gesture from his end. Ig after the night wherein in he felt so close to his death for the kind of guy that he has turned into it seems like he is already trying to change the way he interacts with females. I think this is the beginning of his viewpoint changing not only for Katha but also for women in general which is something that we all have been waiting to see.

Yup, I noticed that as well!! There was definitely an attitude shift with the way he spoke to Jenny. It’s as if he was reminded of a respect and patience when it comes to talking to women now. I think that attitude shift was intentional.

Yes many many many years ago, I interned on a channel called Star One. Ngl, the production and the facilities were terrible like terrible. And the joke was that it’s better than Zee, becos there things were so bad, the heroes used to wear their own clothes, I mean this was in 2005-2007
