ITV does broad comedy and is very intentional. first, there is the funny background music. then, there is bright lights and hilarious expressions from all the side characters. we don't understand black comedy or subtle comedy at all. we love our comedy loud! 🤣

the CVs are not using comical music but instead it is very somber. there is no side character making faces. the lighting is often dark when it comes to viaan. we are supposed to see it as super serious melo scenes but we are finding him funny. thats on us! 😂

If let us imagine in place of adnan if another actor let say an older actor who is in his 50s( not age shaming here) and not a looker per say does the role of viaan, will we found him funny in those serious scenes or we would be disgusted by his actions? That question is running in my brain for a while now.

Is it becoz of the actor that we can go through these creepy scenes and find some funny elements in it so that later we can be able to ship them together? I don't know .

Next week may have again Ehsan trying to be a peace maker when Katha resigns second time from Earthcon after returning from Dubai. 🤪poor guy..

Will Ehsan know some vague reason, will he share Viaan's prejudices about woman in general with her, or why Viaan is moody, impulsive and not an easily approachable man?

an interesting question but I don't think the comedy really comes here from his looks or that we are fangirling. it comes from the absurdity of the situation which is why we are laughing at his lines and his confusion. rather than viaan being handsome, I find him cute because his actions are so teenager absurd type level. so it is in the characterization

whether we would see it the same way if it was an older actor or someone less good looking, maybe maybe not. it would depend on the acting and how they are able to convey vulnerability and nuances. I thought the original season of bade ache lagte hain with overweight ram kapoor as cute, funny and poignant.

I think the actor is successful in making not hating Viaan too much.Alreday i had seen his interview where he was saying that my character nobody will like. But offscreen he is very polite & talks very well.

Yes it is situational comedy but his expressions are also making it more funny. If we had an actor who wouldnot be able to emote those expressions or is stiff in his posture could we have connected with him?? Or try to know his backstory. Are the makers briefing him to not cross that creepy line with is expressions so that there is a rebound later on?? It seems their strategy to not make him too villainy by making him do these little nuances. So audience everywhere be it twitter, youtube or here are trying to understand his pov rather then termed him disgusting or negative outrightly.i have seen everywhere people are angry with his actions but are also amused by him and his antics.

no, I think first adnan is actually a good actor and he has a good handle of the character's inner struggles. also unlike other dramas where the actors themselves have no idea what is ahead or what the CVs are going on this track for, adnan has been given a very clear brief about the character's arc. this makes his job easier and so he we can see him focused on giving the character of viaan nuances. there is a very fine line but this is in the grey area.

adnan is doing a great job of showcasing vulnerability and showing viaan as a person, a man and human being. yes, we can find his actions wrong but we are still able to see his goodness. thats why we are not writing off him as creepy. so that is not only down to writing but also adnan's subtle acting.

we are seeing that viaan is not in complete control of his actions -- this isn't the type of creepy seduction or harassment. infact, that is not the heart of the story. this is about a man who doesn't understand women at all and because of certain situations, has a very wrong idea about women. he himself is aware of it but does not know how to know who has integrity and who doesn't. he also comes from a world where casual relationships and one night stands are common -- if you mingle in that type of environment, him jumping to spending the night isn't that shocking. it happens more than we know. so we have to place his actions within context of his character as well as the social circle he mingles in.

I googled monitor malik and got nothing. 🤣

then googled just malik along with katha ankahee and found which actor you were referring to.
