Raunak died due to an accident.

Kasturi married Robbie to take revenge because she thought that Robbie was the reason of her husband's death. She went to the extent of faking her pregnancy. Robbie found out and before Kasturi could explain how she regretted doing what she did and declare her love for Robbie, he met with an accident. Kasturi's father disowned her and a one year leap took place where Kasturi and her mom were living in Banaras.

For a consignment, Kasturi had to go to Malaysia and over there she met Bikram Raichand who resembled Raunak. It turned out that it was Raunak and he was never dead in the first place. He faked his own death to ruin Robbie's life and he is currently engaged to Shivangi. He is out to kill Robbie and due to this Kasturi once again enters Robbie's life to save him from Raunak.

Robbie never forgot Kasturi's dhoka which is why Kasturi worked very hard to win back her husband's love. She eventually did but unfortunately Raunak entered the Sabarwal house while they were romancing. Kasturi was forced to go back to Raunak because lawfully she is his wife. Raunak is faking his illness and due to this Kasturi has to be with him 24/7 looking after him. Only she knows the truth and nobody else. Anita is working for Raunak. Her aim is to get close to Robbie and bring him away from the love of his life.
