Re-cap : The face-off between Robbie and Kasturi ends thanks to Devika who tells Robbie that Kasturi's behavior was perfectly alright. Kasturi and Robbie make up on her birthday. Robbie gifts her a fantastic gift. And Kasturi also makes it up with Devika by apologizing for her behavior.
PART- 33 : ANOTHER LOVE STORY
After she has disconnected Kasturi's call, Devika remembers that she forgot to wish Kasturi on her birthday! She regretfully recollects that she does not have Kasturi's number with her and so could not even call her back. She makes a mental note to take her number from Robbie and wish her later. 😊
"Party mei.....?".......asks Kasturi hesitantly. 😛 She had locked up the studio and she and Robbie were walking down to their parked vehicles. She badly wanted him to come to the birthday party but could not outright ask him, because of his uncle's delicate situation!
"I am sorry Kas, I can't! Kya situation hai, yeh toh tum jaanti ho".........apologizes Robbie. 😕 Kasturi shakes her head indicating she understood. Robbie continues......."But I promise! Jaise hi chachaji ghar aa jaayenge, tumhaara birthday phir seh celebrate karenge.......just the two of us! 😛 You can turn 22 again!! Theek hai? 😃 😳
Kasturi's face breaks into a happy smile! 😃 She loves the idea and whole-heartedly approves it and jokes with a twinkle in her eye......."Gift bhi phir seh chahiye!"
Robbie replies with a wink : Lagtaa hai tumhaare bhai seh baat karni padhegi.......mujhe salary increment dilwaane ke liye!" 😉 😆
They both laugh their way to the vehicles. There are a lot of people around and so Robbie gives her a quick hug and a slight peck on her left cheek while Kasturi gets into car. 😳 He wishes her a happy birthday once back and Kasturi drives away waving to him. She does not tell him that she called and apologized to his aunt! 😳
When Robbie reaches home, Devika tells him that Kasturi had called and apologized as soon as he had left! That information will leave Robbie very happy and relieved! 😲 😳 😃 He immediately calls her up and thanks her for doing it for him and also conveys his aunt's birthday wishes to her. Then, he and Devika get ready to go to the hospital so that Alaana can come back for the night.
Alaana had been a pillar of support for Devika this past week! She had taken over the responsibilities of the house such as cooking, cleaning etc with such ease that Devika had been left wondering! 👏 👏 👏 She had always known her kids were capable but the way Robbie and Alaana had quietly and unassumingly taken over the responsibilities of the house, she had no words to express!!! 😃 A couple of days ago watching Robbie and Alaana take care of an unexpected development, Leela had turned to her and had said
Leela : Tere bacche bade ho gaye hai Devika! Ab tujhe kisi baat ki fikar karne ki zaroorat nahi! 😳 😊
Tears had crowded her eyes at that statement 😭 and she had stared at both of them surprised, shocked and wondering.😲 😳 😛............"When did my children grow up?? How did they grow up so quickly?? How did all that time pass............where did it all disappear?? 😲 It seemed like just yesterday when she was still forcing a fretting Alaana to apply coconut oil to her hair and and was asking a hyper-active teen Robbie to choose between either Cricket or Hockey or Basketball and not try to play all 3 games!!!" (😆 😆 😆)..............Those thoughts had suddenly made her feel old but she was proud to feel that way knowing that she and Puru had done an excellent job in bringing them up and teaching them the values of life!! 😳 😊
Devika and Robbie reach the hospital to take over from Alaana. Alaana kisses her dad's forehead and bidding Robbie and her mom goodbye, she walks out to grab a taxi home. She tries to flag down a couple of taxis but they don't stop. So she starts walking a little further when suddenly a car whooshes past her and stops right next to her! 😲 😲 😲 Alaana jumps with fear and shock when Ajay quickly lowers the power window and calls out to her
Ajay : Hey Alaana, mei hun! 😃
Alaana : Jeez Ajay, tumne toh mujhe daraa hi diyaa tha! 😡
Ajay says : Sorry! Actually mei idhar seh guzar rahaa tha jab meine ekdum seh tumhe dekha! Kahin tum miss na ho jao iss darr seh thodaa sharp turn lenaa padaa........Ghar jaa rahi ho?
Alaana says : Haan 😊
Ajay : Aao, mei chodh detaa hun.
He pushes open the door and Alaana climbs into the car.
Ajay asks : Ab kaisi tabiyat hai tumhaare bauji ki?
"Theek hai"...........says Alaana sadly ............"Unkaa slipped disc problem abhi abhi resolve ho rahaa hai. Abhi aur ek-do hafte lagenge, shaayad!"
Ajay says quietly : Don't worry Alaana........Sab theek ho jaayega!
The tone of his voice will make Alaana turn to look at him. Her eyes meet his and they both stare at each other! 😳 He was finding it very difficult to see her so sad! 😕 He wanted to hug her and comfort her! God knows, he himself was suffering quite a bit!! It was a week since he had seen her and it was getting increasingly difficult for him to keep away from her! But, he had stopped himself from calling her several times, knowing that Alaana was concerned and worried about her father and busy with her responsibilities!
She breaks the eye-contact and turns away. Ajay also starts driving. Her mind and heart were in such a conflict!! 😔
In her very first meeting with Kasturi, she had found her very arrogant and frivolous!! After that Kasturi's behavior seemed to change but as they say the first impression is the last, she was still very unsure about Kasturi! 😕 When she came to know that Kasturi's friend had caused her parent's accident, she was very angry and emotional at Kasturi!! 😡 😡 😡 But slowly reason prevailed and she was able to see the truth that it was the same Kasturi who had also rushed her father to the hospital, where the immediate assistance he was provided had helped to save his life!! 😳 And this was the precise reason that when Ajay had called after, she had not mentioned anything about his sister's involvement in the accident. She just did not want to burden him with any guilt!!!
"Kya soch rahi ho?"............asks Ajay. 😊 They were sliently driving to her house.
"Kuch nahi..........bas yahi soch rahi thi ki apne manager seh chutti kaise loon? Abhi abhi join hui hoon, toh mere paas zyaada leave nahi hai. Aur kaam bhi bahut hai! Magar mujhe aur ek hafte ki chutti leni hogi, to help mom out!"............says Alaana. 😕
Ajay says : Ek baar apni manager seh pooch kar toh dekho........maybe she will understand. 😛
Alaana shakes her head in agreement and decides to go to work on Monday and talk to Ritu, her manager and seek a leave extension. Ajay drops her off and leaves. He had wanted to talk to her more, but seeing that Alaana was too preoccupied, he decides to postpone the conversation for a later date!
On Monday, Alaana goes to work. She tries to schedule a meeting with her manager but somehow no time seemed suitable for her manager. She seemed to be too busy! Finally, just before the end of the day a frustrated Alaana manages to catch hold of Ritu outside her office and quickly asks for permission to take another week off. 😒 Ritu gives Alaana a cold stare and says very cuttingly
Ritu : Mere permission ki zaroorat bhi kya hai tumhe? Tumhe toh har cheez ki choot hai yahaan! 😡
Alaana looks at her surprised and says : Ji.....mei samjhi nahi maam! How do you mean? 😲
Ritu says : Itni bholi mat bano Alaana! Har choti-badi cheez ke liye upar seh recommendation laati ho aur yahaan...........here you act like an ideal employee who is trying to follow the rules and regulations of the workplace! 😡 😡
Alaana is shocked at such anger directed towards her!! 😲 😲 😕
She says : Maam........please! I am not sure what you are saying.....
Ritu interrupts her sharply : Mujhe upar seh order aaya hai ke, tumhe jitne din leave chahiye, utne din leave grant kar diyaa jaaye!! Aur tumhaare sab pending tasks kisi aur employee ko saump diyaa jaaye! 😡
Alaana looks at her surprised! 😲 Why and how did the upper management know about her request??? She looks on confused when Ritu says sarcastically
Ritu : Ofcourse, it is no surprise to me! Har roz tumhaara uthna-baithna, khaana-peena sab bade logon ke saath jo hai! 😈 Jab tum unkaa itnaa khyaal rakhti ho, toh unhe bhi toh tumhaara khayaal rakhna chahiye, hai na??? 😈 😈 😈 So, feel free to come and go to work when you want! 😡 Waise bhi I don't think you need this job to earn your living............I am sure you have other means!! 🤢
She gives an ugly look to Alaana and leaves!! 😈 A shocked and hurt Alaana simply stares after her. 😲 😲 😲 😲 😔 Then she quickly rushes to her office, grabs her bag and stumbles out. Tears were blinding her eyes! 😭 😭 😭 She had never been subjected to such censure in her life! 😲 😭 Her self-respect was severely bruised by such cheap and baise comments by Ritu!! How could she talk so dirty ?? 😲 😭 It did not escape her that Ritu was pointing out and referring to her lunch dates with Ajay Chawla! And suddenly Alaana realizes that Ajay must have spoken to his friend, their boss who must have passed on the request to Ritu about her wanting to leave! 😲 😲 She stops in her tracks and suddenly anger builds up in her! 😡 😡 😡 She whips her phone out and calls Ajay!
Ajay was lifting weights and was in the middle of his workout when his phone rings. Seeing her caller id on his phone, a smile spreads on his lips and he quickly answers the phone. 😃 Even before he can say hello, Alaana starts off
Alaana asks furiously: Kyun kiyaa tumne yeh? 😡
Ajay, expecting a thanks but instead hearing this, says : Whoa!! You are welcome!! 😛
Alaana : Don't expect a 'Thank you' from me!!! Tumhaari wajah seh aaj mujhe kaisi kaisi baatein sun ni padhi! 😡 😡 😡
Ajay asks concerned : Arre, kya hua?? I thought I was helping.......😳
Alaana : Who asked for your help? Meine, poocha tumseh? 😡
Ajay : Arre, tum pareshaan thi! Tumhaari pareshaani kam karnaa chahta.......
Alaana : Kam??? Meri pareshaani kam nahi, aur badh gayi hai!!! 😡
Ajay : Well, sorry about that! But I did not mean to.........
Alaana : But why? 😡 Kya zaroorat thi tumhe kuch karne ki? 😡
Ajay : Because I cannot see you in pain Alaana.............I love you!!! 😡
Alaana : Please............
Her mind screeches to a stop!!! 😲 😲 😲 His last statement echoes in Alaana's ears!! What did he say?? What did she hear?? Did he say, what she heard?? Alaana stops in her tracks! Suddenly she feels she is all alone on that busy street! Ajay grips his phone hard!! He had wanted to tell her this for a long time but he had not expected to say this over the phone!! 😕
He quickly gets up from the bench and stands with one hand on his waist and the other holding the phone. He was not expecting a reaction from her. He says softly
Ajay : Mei kai dinon seh yeh baat tumseh kehnaa chataa tha........
Click............he hears the phone go dead!!! 😲 He immediately calls her back! Alaana is still standing at the same place! She takes the call but still does not say anything!
Ajay says softly : I love you Alaana! I really do.......Sorry.....aise phone peh bataana padhega, meine socha nahi tha.......😕
"Ajay!"............interrupts Alaana......."Mujhe....mujhe abhi jaana hai, mei phone rakh rahi hun!!!" 😕 😒
Ajay starts to say.........."Plea..."........but Alaana had already disconnected the phone! She stands there, shocked!! 😲 😲 Don't know when she flagged a taxi but she finds herself sitting in one and recollecting what just happened!!............"OMG!! He really was in love with her!!! It was not her suspicion............a suspicion that had become really strong in this past few days when they seemed unable to stay away from each other!!!! 😳 It was a beautiful dream come true for her!!!! Then why did she not respond?? 😲 She did not respond because she was scared...........scared stiff that this could not be true!!! 😔 That somehow this was a fantasy........a fantasy that will never come true!!! 😕 So much happiness and pleasure............was she so fortunate? Was she really so fortunate????
Ajay was restless and was going crazy with anxiety! He had decided to not call her back because he wanted to respect her need for space! 😕 He knew this must have been a big shock for her!! Eventhough they both had been feeling the vibes over the past several days, it was the first time that it was finally brought out upfront!!!
A week passes! Ajay and Alaana were still where they had left it off! By now, Ajay was desperate to hear anything from her, even rejection! 😒 But he wanted an answer!! He simply could not take this tension of now knowing what was going on her mind! 🤢 He finally decides that he is going to give her that Sunday night and then on Monday he was going to go and meet her and get an answer out of her!!!
At around 9.00 PM in the night, Alaana finally calls him! Ajay was sitting on his bed and working on his laptop when the phone rings. He reaches for it and when he sees her caller id, Ajay pauses for a second!! His heart races with expectation!! 😛 😳 He quickly takes her call and says........."Hello!". He tries to keep his voice as emotion-less as possible but Alaana could feel the urgency in his voice! She says slowly
Alaana : Kaise ho?
Ajay replies : Accha nahi hun!
Alaana is taken aback by his answer and asks worried : Kya hua? 😕
Ajay : Uskaa jawab tumhaare paas hai Alaana, phir sawaal poochne kaa matlab? 😳
Alaana becomes quiet and says : Dekho Ajay.........mei
Ajay : Alaana, mujhe bas ek hi jawab chahiye........tum mujhseh pyaar karti ho yaa nahi? 😳
Alaana : Yeh itnaa asaan nahi...... 😒
Ajay : Uh.huh......Haan ya Naa! 😳
Alaana : Magar Ajay....... 😕
Ajay : Haan ya Naa??? 😳
Alaana hesitates for a few moments and then whispers into the phone : Haan.......I love you! 😳
A smile spreads on Ajay's face 😃 and suddenly he is so excited that he cannot sit!!! He stands up, letting the joy flow through his veins!! He says
Ajay : Tum kahaan ho?
Alaana replies : Hospital mei.
Ajay : Mei aa rahaa hun abhi....
Alaana says shocked: Nahi nahi.....abhi nahi! 😲 😲 😲 Hum subah milenge.
Ajay : Sorry Alaana..........mei subah tak intezaar nahi kar saktaa! 😳 Mei wahaan pahunchte hi tumhe phone karungaa, tum reception area mei aa jaana!! 😊
He does not give her another chance to protest and disconnects the phone! He quickly grabs a pair of jeans and whatever T-shirt he can lay his hands on, changes and drives to the hospital as quickly as possible!!! 😳 A scared and tensed Alaana walks around in the corridor uncomfortably! 😳 😕
She instantly answers her phone even before the first ring has completed!!
Ajay says : Mei reception area mei wait kar rahaa hun. Can you come down? 😛
Alaana says : Haan.....haan!
She cuts the call and glances into the room. Her dad was sleeping peacefully. She makes her way downstairs to the reception area. Ajay was standing next to the elevator, leaning against the wall. The moment Alaana steps out, he is right next to her! 😲 😲 They stare at each other, their eyes glowing with a new found happiness!! Ajay pushes himself off the wall and walks to her. They stare into each other's eyes trying to guage who was happier!
Ajay : Chalo, baahar chalke baat karte hai!
Alaana meekly agrees. They both walk out of the hospital and walk outside to the slight wilderness that was on one side of the hospital. As they are walking out, Ajay slowly reaches for Alaana's left hand with his right and wraps it around her hand! 😳 😳 Alaana swallows hard and is very glad that it was dark outside and not lighted enough for him to see her struggle! ☺️ ☺️ His touch was never this electric as it was today! As soon as they reach the secluded vegetation, he slowly turns Alaana towards him. Suddenly Alaana says agitated
Alaana : Meine bahut koshish kee......tumseh pyaar nahi karne ki......magar.....magar.......😒 😔
Ajay looks at her surprised! She was struggling to get something off her chest! He stays quiet allowing her to continue!
Alaana says : Agar.....agar tumneh kabhi mujhe dhoka diyaa toh........toh mei mar jaaungi! Mei ek bahut seedhi-saadhi ladki hun......mere liye pyaar, pooja hai.....mei.......😭 😕
Ajay places his finger on her lips indicating her to calm down and says
Ajay : Shhhh........calm down Alaana! Mei jaanta hun! 😊 Pehle mei tumhaari taraf tumhaari sundartaa ki wajah seh khichtaa gayaa. Lekin dheere dheere mujhe samajh mei aaya ke tum sirf baahar seh nahi, andar seh bhi bahut sundar ho!!! 😛 Alaana, aaj tak meri girlfriends rahi hai lekin koi saathi nahi !!! Woh kami aaj poori hui hai!! Mei isse jeevan bhar kaa saath banaana chahta hun......thode pal kaa saath nahi! 😳
Ajay brings her hands to his mouth and kissing them says : Mei tumseh ek din shaadi karnaa chahta hun! 😳 😳
Alaana stares at him, stumped!! 😲 😲 Her impossible dream was coming true!!! Ajay was telling her that he wanted to marry her!! 😲 😳 She suddenly feals weak in her knees!!! She stares into his eyes and sees the truth in them! Her knees give way and she leans towards him, weak with emotion! Ajay slowly wraps his arms around her, ecstatic! 😃 😳 😃
She had finally found her Hrithik Roshan and was totally in love with him! The tension that Ajay had gone through the past week simply disappears! He could not believe that his love was finally reciprocated! 😃 😳 He slowly separates Alaana and kisses her softly on her forehead and a blushing Alaana simply enjoys it! ☺️ ☺️ ☺️
They sit there for a while enjoying the bliss and excitement of sweet romance till finally Ajay lets Alaana go back to take care of her dad and leaves with the promise of meeting her the next day. 😳
