Re-cap : Campus selection starts. Robbie has intentions of joining Chawla Enterprises and so submits his resume to them. Raunak has given him a job offer for which he would have to go out of the country and so he refuses that offer. Divya looses her match. DU reaches the final. Robbie meets Kasturi formally at Raunak's birthday party.
PART - 12 : AANKHON, AANKHON SEH CHOONA AANKHEN
Robbie gets a little flustered that Ajay might have caught him eyeing his sister! But sighs in relief that Ajay has not noticed anything!!
Ajay extends his hand out and says...."Hey Robbie, glad to see you here"........."No you are not!" thinks Robbie while taking his hand and shaking it. But replies back...."Good to see you, Ajay!" They were just barely civil to each other and Robbie is still not sure why Ajay did not like him 😕. He had felt antagonism from Ajay right from the start! They had known each other for almost 2 years but still there was no improvement in their acquaintanceship basically because both of them wanted to keep it that way!!
Ajay : Lagta hai tumne bhi apply kiyaa hai Chawla Enterprises ko?
Suddenly Robbie becomes very wary and for the first time he gets an uncomfortable feeling that maybe Ajay is going to play some role in this whole process ! He replies cautiously....."Haan!"
Ajay says : Meine dekha tumhaara resume......it was very impressive! I wish you the very best.
"Thanks" says Robbie and they don't have anything more to share and so Ajay nods his head and walks away. Robbie turns to look at the beer can in his hand. He is thoughtful..........he is trying to assess how much of a threat Ajay was to his chances.
Kasturi was looking keenly at this interaction between Robbie and Ajay. "So, apparently they know each other"......thinks Kasturi. But she also felt the friction between the two men!! Something did not seem right eventhough they were behaving civil to each other! Robbie feels her eyes on him and so looks upto see her, but she is not looking at him. She was not, because just then she had turned her eyes away and was talking to the friend sitting beside her!!!!
Robbie looks at that guy beside her........he was already on his 5th beer and he was offering Kasturi one more. Robbie shakes his head at that guy... he seemed to be the "all brawn and no brain" types!! Robbie had no patience for such people!
Just then Raunak joins him and they start talking. Kasturi turns back to look at him 😳 He had such a cool and confident look around him...like he was very sure of what he wanted and when he wanted it! His superior brain power is very visible in his demeanor! Anybody looking at him could see that he had brains! She is drawn towards him uncontrollably 😳. She is not paying any attention to Anand who was droning on and on about something that Kasturi had stopped listening to a long time ago!!! 🤢 Anand was her classmate and her dance partner. The only reason she tolerated him was because he was a great dancer and an excellent partner. She was also very aware that Anand harbored a crush on her which he thought was a secret from her and Kasturi had been letting him think like that as she did not want to encourage him in the least!!!!!
Robbie knows she is looking at him........she has been at it the whole evening!! Raunak leaves to arrange something and Robbie gets off his seat. He decides enough of this cat and mouse game and walks to her. 😛 Kasturi sees him approaching and suddenly shivers involuntarily. He slides into an empty spot besides her and says...."Hi again". Kasturi replies back with a "Hello".
Robbie looking at her : You know, I almost did not think you were the same girl I saw at the bus stop! Aap bus stop mei kya kar rahi thi?
Kasturi ignores the question tactfully and says : Pehle aap yeh bataiye, you are my brother's and Raunak's classmate, but how come I have never seen you before?
Robbie corrects her : Mei unka classmate nahi hun. We go to the same University. I am in my MCA final.
Kasturi says : Aah....I see. Is that why I did not see you hanging out with them before in any of the parties they have thrown for their classmates??
Robbie corrects her again : Not really, the reason I don't come to parties of this kind is because I find them boring, suffocating and........
"Be more careful next time" warned a girl to one of the waiters on whose face she had thrown a glass of wine just because he had bumped into her while walking past her and accidently spilled a little wine on her dress!!!
"..........and infuriating" 😡 concludes Robbie angrily 😡. Both he and Kasturi were looking at that scene as it had happened right next to them.....but nobody else seemed to care! Kasturi looks at his anger in surprise and asks
Kasturi : Kya hua?
Robbie replies still turned away from her and looking at that waiter and girl : Did you see what just happened?
Kasturi : Yes....are you saying she had no right to get angry? Aapko pataa hai how much the dress she is wearing costs?
Robbie turns to look at her and says : It cannot cost more than that waiter's self-respect!
Kasturi ignores that statement and says : 39000 rupees.
Robbie does not flinch and he says : Aapko pataa hai....1/3rd of that amount, kai logon ki monthly salary hai?
Kasturi blinks and says : Toh?? Iskaa matlab hai sab rais bhi gareeb logon ki tarah jiye?
Robbie replies : Nahi, iskaa matlab yeh hai ke sab log, chahe woh ameer ho yaa gareeb ho, manushyon ki tarah jiye, naaki jaanwaron ki tarah!!!!
Kasturi remembers the time when he made her give a needy person money and she asks him tartly
Kasturi : Aap apne aap ko Robin Hood samajhte hai ?
They stare at each other. Both of them did not want to fight and argue today!!
Robbie winks at her and says 😉 : That's an excellent idea!! I will keep it in mind.... Kasturi shakes her head at him and smiles 😊. She realizes he has managed to diffuse the situation! Then he asks her
Robbie : Aapka woh statue jo toot gayaa.....could you find a replacement?
Kasturi says regretfully : Nahi......Waise aap wahaan kya kar rahe the, uss din?
Robbie : Mei ek theater group kaa member hoon aur wahaan practice...
She cuts him : Arunodaya Naatak Mandali?
Robbie looks at her surprised 😳 : Aapko kaise pataa?
Kasturi looks at him excitedly : Kyun ki uske saamne waala jo location hai woh meraa dance studio hai!
Robbie : Acha toh woh place aapka hai! I did see some ongoing construction activity there..........So, you are a dancer? 😊
Kasturi : Haan.
Robbie : Kaun saa dance karti hai aap?
Kasturi : Waise toh I am a classical dancer lekin aaj kal kuch contemporary kar rahi hun.
They don't want the conversation to stop and so Kasturi asks
Kasturi : Aapke pair kaise hai ab?
Robbie says : Ab tak toh theek the.....
Then he bends down to look at her shoes. She follows his gaze. He comes back up and says : ...aage ka pataa nahi! 😉 😆
Kasturi smiles 😃 and he once again is surprised by how her face just lights up when she smiles.
"Come on Kas!! Hum log kyun time waste kar rahe hai??? Chalo, lets dance"......prods Anand. He is getting very irritated 😡 because Kasturi does not seem to even remember that he exists!!! Kasturi reluctantly turns to look at Anand. She did not want to stop talking to Robbie. But Anand was her friend and he was really getting bored. So she agrees. Kasturi finishes her beer, gets off the barstool and allows Anand to grab her hand and take her to the dance floor. Robbie's eyes follow her. Why did he feel that he did not want her to go? But its also true that he found her ideas and opinions infuriating!!!
The DJ has been playing song after song throughout the evening, remix versions, originals, hindi songs, english songs......every which kind. As they are walking to the floor, Anand signals to the DJ....he had asked the DJ to play one particular song when he was dancing with Kasturi!! He was hoping to convey his message via that song and seemed pretty excited about it!!!!
Kasturi and Anand hit the floor and the song starts......

The song is very foot tapping and Robbie keeps observing Kasturi. She dances very good and so does that friend of her's. He listens to the words of the song, and thinks she is a stunner alright! 😛 Robbie was not judgemental. It did not bother him that she was drinking, that her dressing sense was not so modest, and that she was so free with a guy on the dance floor. That was not an issue for him but......but........was she his type??

Kasturi glances at Robbie and finds him staring at her! They stare at each other......the physical attraction between them is undeniable but their personalities are miles apart from each other!!! She was confused about him. She found him condescending and he drove her absolutely wild with his "I know more than you" attitude!!! But still she wanted to talk to him...........

Anand was trying to pass hidden vibes to Kasturi but they never reach her because her whole attention was on Robbie!!! Robbie turns his back to the dance floor, he needed some control over this situation!! Kasturi sees him turn away but she cannot stop looking at him! She wishes that he turns back towards her........but Robbie stays turned away though he is tuned into the song. He did not want to look at her when the following words were being sung!! 😳

The song ends and he walks away from the bar and joins Raunak and his other friends who are standing a little further away from the dance floor. Next, the DJ plays a soft romantic number and Anand takes Kasturi in his arms and they dance a slow dance. For some reason Robbie cannot stand it! He turns to Raunak and says
Robbie : Raunak, ab mei nikalta hun....
Raunak cuts him and says : What!!! No way, abhi toh hum logo ne kuch khaaya nahi! Aise thodi jaane doonga!!!
Robbie tries to protest but Raunak overrules him and gets a couple of plates brought for Robbie and himself. They munch on their food and talk but both of them are also observing Kasturi and so is Ajay!! While Robbie was broad-minded, it was not acceptable even for his open attitude to see her so close to another man and then he notices that Kasturi is flinching and she is trying to move away from Anand who was trying to take advantage of her!!!! 😕. She struggles to get away from his grip and Robbie puts his plate down and moves forward with an intention of helping her......but before that he sees that Raunak is already on his way to Kasturi!! Kasturi meanwhile has managed to get out of Anand's grip and gives him a resounding slap!! She knew where to draw the line and Anand was absolutely drunk and had no idea what he was doing!! Just then Raunak and Ajay reach her! Ajay leads Kasturi away while Raunak tackles Anand and takes him away.
Everything comes back to normal and an upset Kasturi spends the rest of the evening in Robbie, Ajay and Raunak's company. Robbie and Kasturi don't talk to each other the rest of the night though they cannot keep their eyes away from each other!!! After a while Robbie feels he has had enough for the night and decides to leave. He simply smiles at Kasturi as a goodbye and walks towards the door. She hopes he will turn around but he does not!!!
Robbie comes out into the cold night and breathes in the fresh air. Was he going to take her seriously?? He did'n think so. He has found the answer for his question.............she was NOT his type!!!
