Trina's Style Report for 2/13/08: The Highlights

I haven't watched this in a while and just decided on a whim to see today's because Raunak came back as I had hoped months ago when he first "died." As we all know from Ekta shows, death is no obstacle for her characters. Here's my short take on it.

The girl Drishti, who was talking with her father and upset Kasturi wasn't at her wedding, looked beautiful in a blue embroidered ghagra with matching earrings. I love it when Ekta heroines are melodramatic and you can't take your eyes off of them for a second, whether it's because of the glycerine tears in their eyes, their stunning jewelry or their elaborate clothes.

When Robbie gets his bandages taken off, he looks nice, finally he's clean-shaven after ages, and wearing a simple white kurta pyjama. Nice. I also love how they interwove the scene of his walking with Kasturi, far away in Malaysia. That the thought of his love for her brought him back to health.

Kasturi, looked truly gorgeous in a hot pink salwar with white bottom and pale makeup. I was tired of her saris and OTT colors. She looked fresh and youthful throughout the episode. In spite of her previous first marriage, widowhood, then second marriage etc.

I didn't get how they showed Raunak from the back, and from the bottom of his clothes but not his face. You could tell it was him, as in Jatin, because of his deep voice. The clothes I didn't like so much but I guess that is his new persona here. A strong businessman, adversary and leading man. Nothing like the nice guy who was easily defeated by Robbie Sabharwal.

Pooja's mother wore a deep pink sari which looked amazing on her. Granted her character as a vamp is truly mean, but the color suited her. I felt sorry for Kaushalya (is that her name) for having to deal with her.

What I didn't get in the Robbie scene. Purushottam is looking nice in a blue suit with crisp white shirt, new haircut and all. But Nikhil was wearing a very similar blue jacket. Why did they have to wear almost identical colors? Was this intentional or what. Apart from that, the scene was nice.

The scene with Kasturi remembering Raunak and clutching the photograph was nice. As they played the strains of Ye Hausla, it was so soothing to hear and so comforting that he finally returned and we know it even if she doesn't yet. It is the return of Jatin, and Raunak, but a different avatar than previously shown. I am grateful they brought his character back and they kept him in the role. Although JS replaced someone else, he really embodies the spirit of Raunak Singhania for me. I can't see someone else playing it as well.

Now they have brought back Robbie from his accident and Raunak from his "death" and it seems to be the return of the original triangle. I am looking forward to seeing both men fight for Kasturi. Well played, Creatives!

Everyone: seems like my valentine's day plan for this story is going to backfire😆 I will really hit those creatives if they show KC-Vik pair on V day😡😆😆

BTW, y do I think ki Vik's engagement is not going to happen😆... I think he will be brought back to India [Okkk, no points for guessing this one😆] but after clearing up all the misunderstandings tat he is not Ronak, i guess he will be used to cure Shivani also... Remember she stays calm only wen she is with Ronak... Sooo may be there will be the much awaited luv story of Shivani-Vik..... I soooooooooooo wanted to see JS-Mouni pair last time wen RaS was around😳... They made such a cute and exciting pair😳

Guys, can u believe ki I still didnt watch the eppy😆😆 Aaaahhhh Sanaaaa, where are u?? wen will u post my HQ video???😆😆 I want to see Robbie in the besssstttttttttttt quality today😆

Thanks Krishi! Actually, I didn't write it during the show but I did jot down some notes of my favorite looks. 😆 I am so relieved JS is back, the show was lame without him.
