Move over saas-bahu dramas. Ekta Kapoor is ready to make her first non-fiction reality show

Balaji Telefilms is finally moving away from making its trademark saas-bahu dramas. The production house will soon be making its first reality show, which will hunt for talented actors in the country.

Although Ekta Kapoor is not talking about the show, it is learnt that it will be aired on Sony Television. Ekta is extremely excited about her first non-fiction show. Apparently, the winner will bag a role in Ekta's next film and will also get a chance to work in a Hollywood film.

A source says, "The show will select people from all over India and groom them to be film stars. The show has been conceptualised by Balaji and is in its initial stages as it's their first step towards making a reality show. For now, Balaji is busy setting up the show's platform, which is loosely based on Cinestars Ki Khoj. A new team is working on the show as the production house mostly has a fiction team."

The high-budget show is slated to be a full fledged launch pad for the final winner.

"The film that the winner will feature in will also have Ekta's favourite actors like Sanjay Dutt, Zayed Khan, Tusshar Kapoor, and Vivek Oberoi," adds the source.

Balaji's creative director, Nivedita Basu says, "I do not know about the reality show as I am in the fiction team. I do not know who in the non-fiction team is working on it."

An ex-associate of Ekta, says on condition of anonymity, "I heard there is a separate team working for the reality show."

Besides this reality show, Balaji will soon be coming up with three fiction shows for Sony.

I dont know if i have to feel happy tat she is not going to make any new serial or shud I feel sad tat we still have to watch the same old serials😆😆😆

tfs, well its good shes movin away fromsaas-bahu serials, but wat i heard that this reality show is a joint project between her n sanjay gupta (who also made shootout at lokhandwala wid ekta kapoor)
