PART - 23 As soon as Robbie reaches home, he calls Kasturi. She is waiting for his call.
K : Pahunch gaye?
R : Haan Kasturi. Ajeeb baat hai, abhi shaadi ko char ghante bhi nahi hue aur aisa lag rahaa hai ke hum hamesha se shaadi-shuda the!
K (smiles) : Yahi toh iss bandhan ka jadoo hai.
R : Sach kahaa! Sabko kehte sunaa, toh yakeen nahi hota tha. Aaj jaakar sach pataa chala!!
K : Mei aapse kehna bhool gayee, Monday se mei nayi job pe jaa rahi hun. Toh Monday ke din milnaa mushkil hoga....
R : Arre parson, ki chodo, kal ki baat karo. kal toh Sunday hai. Puraa din tumhe mere saath guzaarnaa hoga.
K : Puraa din???? Yeh kaise mumkin hai? Agar bahaana banaaungi bhi toh kya bahaana banaungi?
R : Subah toh tum mandir aa jao. Mei tumhe devi maa ke mandir mei 10.30 ko milungaa. Usske baad kuch na kuch soch lenge.
K : Lekin....
R : lekin wekin kuch nahi, Yeh tumhaare pati kaa hukm hai!
Kasturi is about to answer when Tanu shifts sides and mutters in her sleep
Tanu : myrrghggghh
Kasturi gets tensed and after a few seconds whispers into the phone.
K : Accha theek hai, kal milti hun, ab aap phone rakhiye nahi toh Tanu jag jaayegi.
R : Ek shart par, pehle ek kiss do.
K : KYA?? Paagal ho gaye hai kya?
R : Haan ho gayaa hun! Kiss
K : dekhiye, meri baat suniye...
R : Kiss !
K : Please, yeh aap kya..
R : KISS !
Finally K gives in and kisses the speaker part of the phone. Robbie kisses her back via the phone and says
R : Thanks!
K : Accha, ab toh phone rakhiye!
R : Pehle tum.
K : nahi, pehle aap.
R : nahi, pehle tum.
K : Kyun zid kar rahe hai? Accha theek hai mei teen tak ginti hun, donon ek saath phone rakhenge, theek hai?
R : OK.
K : 1 ,2 3
Neither of them disconnect.
K : Phone kyun nahi rakha?
R : Tumne bhi toh nahi rakha!
K : Ekdum bacchon jaise harkat kar rahe hai!
R : Theek hai, yeh baar mei count kartaa hun. At the count of 3, donon phone rakhenge. 1, 2, 3.
Both of them disconnect the phone simultaneously. Kasturi looks at the phone and shakes her head lovingly. Robbie throws his hands back and sighs with happiness. Both of them cannot sleep as they have each other in their thoughts and finally they drift into dreams about each other.
Soon it is morning.
Kaushalya (to herself) : Arre yeh bacche ab tak jage nahi. Jakar unhe uthati hun.
And she walks up to the girls room. Here Kasturi is in deep sleep. Her mangalsutra is hanging out and her head is not covered and her maang filled with sindoor is clearly visible! Kaushalya walks up to the room and pushes open the door. Just then Tanu changes sides and in the process throws her hand on Kasturi. Kasturi is jolted out of her sleep and notices her mother opening the door. She is about to close her eyes when she sees her mangalsutra. Memories of the previous night come rushing back and she qickly grabs the bedsheet and pulls it over herself and in the process also hides her mangalsutra.
Kaushalya : Arre puttar, uthna nahi?
Kasturi : Maa, aaj ravivaar hai, thode der aur sone doh.
Kaushalya : Theek hai, lekin bahut der mat karnaa.
And she leaves. Kasturi slowly removes the bed sheet ensuring that her mother has left. Then she gets up and goes to the bathroom. She has no choice but to wash her hair and along with it the Sindoor. She hates doing it but cannot help it! She gets ready and comes downstairs.Kaushalya looks at her and feels something is different with her.
Kaushalya : Puttar, aaj badi pyaari lag rai hai. Kahin meri hi nazar naa lag jaaye!
Beeji : Haan Kasturi, aaj tere chehre par badi chamak hai? Khush lag rahi hai!
Kasturi blushes but does not answer. After a while she says
Kasturi : Maa, aaj Devi maa ke mandir jaane ka mann kar rahaa hai. Kya mei ho aaoo?
Kaushalya : Haan beta, hokar aa.
Beeji : Arre Kasturi puttar, Mei bhi tumhaare saath chalungi.
Kasturi (confused) : Ji????
Beeji : bahut dinon se mandir nahi gayi. Ek baar jaake maatha tek kar aane ka mann kar rahaa hai.
Kasturi : lekin daadi, aapke ghutnon ka dard? Aap seediyaan nahi chad paayengi.
Beeji : Chad lungi, beta. Woh devi maa he mujhe shakti degi!
Kasturi is in a dilemma. On the one hand she wants to take her grandmother, on the other hand she is concerned that Robbie will be upset..... But she has no option but to take her grandmother and by the time Kasturi starts for the temple, Beeji, dadaji and even Buaji (that other old lady in the household) are coming with her!!! They reach the temple and Kasturi slowly walks up the steps with her grandparents, constantly scanning for Robbie. She does not see him anywhere. They reach the temple and the older people go upfront and stand in front of the deity while Kasturi stands a little behind. She folds her hands, closes her eyes and is praying to the Goddess when she suddenly feels his one hand on her waist and the other hand covering her eyes from behind. His touch sends a thrill up her spine!!! She will turn around at once to see Robbie. Robbie will be dying to meet her and this bechaini and the excitment of seeing her is clearly visible on his face. He leans towards her and says
Robbie : Morning, baby!
In answer Kasturi grabs his arm and pulls him to the side of the temple.
Robbie (surprised) : Arre, kya hua?
Kasturi : Dadaji, Beeji aur Buaji bhi aaye hai mere saath!
Robbie : Kya! Akele kyun nahi aaye?
Kasturi : kya karti, woh bhi mere saath aana chahte the...
Just then dadaji calls out for her.
Kasturi : Suniye, aap yahin rukiye, mei thode der mei aapse milne aati hun!
And she goes inside, joins her dadaji and is taking part in the aarti. After a moment she turns back to see Robbie slide into the temple hiding behind a few people so he is not visible to dadaji and others. Kasturi turns back but can hardly concentrate on the aarti. She is longing to be with him. She hates it that this is their first visit to the temple after their marriage and they both cannot pray together. She prays to the Goddess to never separate her from Robbie. She can feel Robbie's looks on her back and turns back to look at him. Robbie is looking intently at her. She signals him with her eyes to pray to the Goddess. Robbie signals back saying you are my goddess!! Kasturi gives him a sharp look and Robbie smiles and closes his eyes and prays.
After the aarti, everyone disperses around and dadaji and beeji decide to sit in the temple for a few minutes and listen to the pravachan that is going on in the temple.
Kasturi : Dadaji, aap bhaithiye, mei zaraa baahar jaake aati hun.
Dadji : Theek hai, puttar.
Kasturi goes in search of Robbie. He will be standing at the back of the temple waiting for her.
Kasturi : Sorry! Lekin mere bas mei kuch nahi tha, Woh bhi mere saath aanaa chahthe the.
Robbie : Woh toh theek hai Kasturi, lekin mei toh soch rahaa tha hum yahaan se lunch ko jaayenge, phir movie aur shaam ko dinner. Raunak ne hum donon ko shaam mei dinner pe bulaaya hai. Woh Neela ko tumse milaana chahta hai.
Kasturi : Movie??? Kaise jaayenge movie? Woh toh Sunday morning koi teenagers mandir nahi aate isiliye aap bach gaye, varnaa ek minute mei ghir jaate apne fans ke beech!
Robbie : Mei drive-in movie theater ki baat kar rahaa tha. Khair ab sab plans shaam ko shift karnaa padegaa. Tum dadaji aur beeji ko ghar chod ke shaam mei Chandni Chowk ke bus stop ke thode aage aa jao. Wahaan mei tumhaara intezaar karunga.
Kasturi : Lekin, mei kaise aa sakti hun?
Robbie : Mujhe nahi pataa, lekin tumhe aana hogaa. Siyaa ka bahaana banaao. Accha, ab mei chalta hun. Shaam ko milte hai.
He kisses her on her cheek and turns to leave.
Kasturi : Suniye...
Robbie continues to walk
Kasturi : Aji, Suniye na!
Robbie stops in his tracks and turns back to look at Kasturi
Robbie (surprised) : Mujhe bulaa rahi ho?
Kasturi : Haan, aapko nahi toh kise bulaaungi?
Robbie (slowly walks towards her) : "Suniye naa...." shaayad yeh meri daadi, mere daadaji se kehti thi.
Kasturi (feels hurt) : Sorry, aapko accha nahi lagaa.
Robbie (smiles) : Nahi Kasturi, mujhe bahut accha lagaa. Itnaa old-fashioned hai lekin tumhaare muh se sunkar bahut romantic lag rahaa hai. I Love it!! kam se kam 'Sir' se toh bahut accha hai.
And he laughs. Kasturi hits him on the hand.
Robbie : Accha kaho, kyon bulaaya?
Kasturi opens her right hand. There is kumkum in that hand. She had taken this from the mandir.
Kasturi : Mei soch rahi thi, aap yahaan hai toh aap hi meri maang........
She feels very shy and cannot continue. Robbie suddenly feels overwhelmed. He comes close to her and lifts her down turned face. Kasturi is blushing and her eyes are closed. He takes the kumkum and is about to apply
Kasturi : Thoda halke se lagaaiye. Kahin sab ko dikh na jaaye.
Robbie : Yeh rang toh chip saktaa hai Kasturi, lekin tumhaare chehre pe jo rang chadha hai aur jo chamak hai, woh kaise chipaaogi?
Kasturi blushes again and Robbie fills her maang. He wants to hug her but since it is the temple, he will control himself. He will squeeze her hand and say
Robbie : See you in the evening
And he walks away. They keep looking at each other till Robbie is out of sight. Kasturi then slowly turns around to walk back into the temple and comes face to face with Gireesh who is gaping at her open-mouthed!!!!
The blood drains out of Kasturi's face and she fumbles
Kasturi : Gir... Gireesh tum??? Tum yahaan??? woh mei, woh...... tum yahaan kaise?
Gireesh (shocked) : Kasturi tumne, tumne Robbie se shaadi kar li??
Kasturi (in ghabraahat) : Haan, nahin meraa matlab hai haan.
Gireesh recovers, comes to his senses and says
Gireesh : Congratulations Kasturi!!! Ye tumne bahut accha kiyaa.
Kasturi : Lekin Gireesh, yeh mere gharwaalon ko nahi pataa hai.
Gireesh : Don't worry, mei unhe kuch nahi bataaungaa. Lekin I am shocked. Agar aankhon se nahi dekhtaa, toh iss baat pe kabhi yakeen nahi karta!!!
Kasturi explains the whole situation with the old man and how Alka chachi is trying to ruin her life.
Gireesh (with a deep sigh) : Kasturi yeh tumne bahut accha kiyaa. Aakhir apne zindagi ki baag-dor tumne samhaal liyaa. Aur phir tumhe apnaa man-chaha saathi milaa! Yeh dekhkar mei bahut khush hun! Don't worry sab theek ho jaayegaa. Agar mei kuch madad kar sakta hun, toh zaroor kehnaa.
Kasturi : Actually Gireesh, mujhe tumhaari madad chahiye. Aaj shaam mujhe Robbie se milne jaana hai, lekin samajh mei nahi aa rahaa ghar mei kya kahun...
Gireesh : Don't worry, mujhpe chod doh. Mei tumhaare ghar aakar tumhe apnaa nayaa office dikhaane ke bahaane baahra leke aaunga. Tum bas shaam mei tayyar rehnaa.
Kasturi thanks him and Gireesh leaves. Everybody gets home and soon it is evening. Gireesh arrives and greets everyone in the family. After talking for a while he says
Gireesh : JP uncle, aapko aitraaz na ho tho mei Kasturi ko aaj dinner pe le jaana chahta hun.
JP looks surprised
Gireesh continues : Woh uncle, mei usse apnaa nayaa office dikhana chahta hun aur apnaa business start karne ke khushi mei ek choti si treat dena chahta hun.
JP is not sure if he wants to let Kasturi go out but Ajay convinces him to do it. Finally JP agrees and K goes to her room to get ready.She wants to dress well but is concerned that her family might misunderstand on seeing her dressed too well. Finally she chooses a sky blue color chiffon saree with big pink flowers on it. The saree will be both simple and elegant. She will plait her hair i.e make a choti. She will come down covering herself with her pallu so her mangalsutra is not visible.
JP : Jaldi ghar aa jaana puttar.
Kasushalya : Ji, bauji
They go out and walk towards the bus stop.
Gireesh : Bahut sundar lag rahi ho Kasturi.
Kasturi : Thanks!
Gireesh : Accha bus stop aa gayaa hai. Mei ab tumhe yahaan chodtha hun. Jab tumhaara dinner khatam ho jaaye, mujhe call karnaa aur mei tumhe yahn milungaa.
Kasturi : Thanks Gireesh, yeh ehsaan tumhaara kabhi nahi bhulungi!
Gireesh : No problem, Have fun!
Robbie is parked a little upfront and he is seeing Kasturi and Gireesh come. He is shocked to see Gireesh! But then he notices that Gireesh has left and Kasturi is walking towrads him. He gets out and opens the door for Kasturi. Kasturi sits in and Robbie gets to his seat and starts the car.
Robbie : Gireesh kya kar rahaa tha tumhaare saath?
Kasturi tells him everything and Robbie is relieved. They reach the hotel. Raunak and Neela are already at the restaurant. As soon as Raunak sees Robbie and Kasturi, he gets up and comes forward to meet them. He hugs Robbie and shakes Kasturi's hand
Raunak : You look great, Kasturi!
Kasturi : Thank you, Sir!
He brings them to the table and Neela gets up to meet them.
Raunak : Neela, yeh hai Kasturi, Kasturi, meet Neela.
Neela and Kasturi hug.
Neela : Badi khushi hui Kasturi tumse milke! Raunak ne tumhaare baare mei itnaa bataaya!!! And btw, congratulations!
Kasturi : Thank you, Neela. Mujhe bhi bahut Khushi hui aapse milke!
They all sit down. Kasturi is enthralled by Neela's beauty. Neela looks so cool, confident and stylish that Kasturi starts feeling a little inferior. But Raunak's affection towards her and Robbie's love for her makes her feel a little better. The seating arrangements will be in the form of love seats placed opposite to each other, not chairs. Raunak and Neela will be sitting on one and Robbie and Kasturi will be sitting on the other. Robbie and Kasturi will sit very close to each other and their bodies will be constantly touching. Eventhough they both will not acknowledge it, they will be very conscious of each other and this "accidental" touching will be like a secret game between them that nobody else is aware of and will take them to a real high!!! Robbie keeps pushing them to order quickly and Raunak decides to pull his leg.
Raunak : Arre Robbie, itni jaldi kya hai? Thoda araam se baithte hai na?
Robbie : Nahin, mujhe zaraa jaldi hai. Kasturi aur mujhe dinner ke baad baahar jaana hai.
Neela : Tumne aaj doosra program kyun banaaya? Mei toh Kasturi se dher saari baatien karne kaa plan banaake aayi hun.
Robbie : Baatien phir hoti rahegi. Poori zindagi padhi hai.
Raunak : Haan haan, ab isse hamaare saath baat karnaa bhi ganwaara nahi hoga, nayi nayi shaadi jo hui hai.
Robbie : Ekdum correct! Arre apni biwi ke saath mujhe thoda waqt guzaarne do bhai! (Raunak will be holding Neela's hand and Robbie will direct everyone's attention to it and say) Shaadi ke do saal ke baad bhi agar tumhaara yeh haal hai toh meri toh shaadi sirf kal hui hai!!!
Neela blushes and everyone laugh. They have a great time together. Kasturi and Neela talk about Raaga for a while. Raunak and Robbie discuss business for a while. And finally Robbie and Kasturi get up and bid goodbye.
Neela comes over and hugs Kasturi and Robbie and says
Neela : Tum donon bahut lucky ho, jo ek doosre ko jeevan saathi ki tarah paaya. You guys are really Made for each other. I wish you a very long and happy married life.And she and Raunak hand Kasturi and Robbie a cover.
Kasturi (surprised) : Arre, yeh kya hai?
Neela : Hamari taraf se tumhaari shaadi ka tohfa.
Raunak : Iss mei tumhaare honeymoon ke tickets hai. Yeh ek saal tak valid hai. Hopefully tab tak saari problems resolve ho jaayegi aur tum hasi khushi iss trip pe jaa sakoge!!
Neela : Tickets kahaan ki hai, yeh tum khud khol ke dekh lena.
Robbie : Thanks yaar!!! Hopefully isse use karne ka waqt jaldi hi aayega. Kyun Kasturi?
Kasturi blushes a deep red and everybody laugh again.
Kasturi and Robbie leave. He drives to the drive-in open theatre and parks.
Meanwhile Neela and Raunak are discussing Kasturi
Neela : She is very cute and innocent and endearing. Ab samajh mei aaya Robbie kyun uskaa deewaana hai! Donon ekdum opposite nature ke hai.
Raunak : Haan, Kasturi bahut cute hai. Its surprising ke mei uss se pyaar kaise nahi karne lagaa.
Neela (gives him a sharp look) : Haan, I am surprised too.
Raunak (laughs and takes her hand in his and says) : Sau Kasturiyaan tum par kurbaan. Neela, jiske paas samundar ho, woh nadi ke baare mei kyun sochegaa. Meri zindagi mei tumhaare sivaa kisi aur ke liye jagah nahi.
Raunak and Neela hug.
At the park
Kasturi : Meraa toh picture dekne kaa bilkul mood nahi hai.
Robbie : Darling, picture kisse dekhna hai
And winks at her mischeivously. Kasturi looks at him surprised.
Robbie : Chalo peeche ki seat mei baithte hai, wahaan se view accha hai.
They sit in the rear seat and snuggle up against each other.After a while Kasturi says
Kasturi : Neela ji kitni sundar aur stylish hai na? Woh mujhe bahut acchi lagi.
Robbie : Haan Kasturi, lekin (he looks at her) aisi sau Neela bhi aa jaaye toh tumhaara mukaabla nahi kar sakti. Jo baat tum mei hai, woh kisi mei nahi. Tabhi toh tumhaara paagal ban gayaa hun! Yakeen nahi hota Kasturi, hamaari shaadi ho gayi hai. Pichle mahinon me hui ghatnaaon ke baad meine kabhi nahi socha, yeh khushi meri zindagi mei itni jaldi aayegi.
Kasturi : Sach keh rahe hai aap. In cheh mahinon mei jaise meine ek zindagi guzaar di ho!
The thoughts of the past months will send a shiver down Kasturi and she will get closer to Robbie.
Kasturi : Lekin woh kehte hai na, ant bhala toh sab bhala. Ab toh bhagwaan se yahi prarthana hai ke aap mujhse kabhi judaa na ho. Aap kabhi mere aankhon se oojhal na ho!
Robbie : I promise you, Kasturi. Tumhe kabhi apne se judaa nahi hone doonga. Tumhe mujhpe bharosa hai na?
Kasturi : Aapki aankhon mei jo pyaar dikh raha hai, usse dekh ke kaise bharosa nahi hogaa?
Robbie : Aur mujhe tumhaari aankhon mei apnaa puraa aanewaala jeevan dikh rahaa hai! Aur mei jaanta hun woh jeevan bahut sundar hoga!
They hug intensely. Suddenly a song starts playing from the movie that is playing outside. (All, I chose the following song - 'Tu mile' from the movie 'Criminal'. I have always loved this song! It is extremely melodious, beautiful, intense and soul-touching!! Hope you all will like this song choice of mine).

Robbie slowly releases Kasturi and starts kissing her on the lips. At first they kiss lightly but soon the intensity of their kiss works up as passion builds up and the music of the song reaches a crescendo. Then they french kiss (I don't want to elaborate too much on this as we have kids on the forum too !!!)

Kasturi breaks away to catch her breath and hugs him intensely. Robbie slowly moves his hand around and removes the pin with which Kasturi had attached her pallu to her blouse. Her pallu slides down. Then Robbie slowly pushes her back so her back is against the seat. Then he bends down and starts kissing her on her stomach starting from the naval. He slowly works his way up kissing all the way. Kasturi's eyes are closed and she is holding onto Robbie's shoulders. As he moves up, her hold on him intensifies. Robbie keeps kissing till he reaches the side of her neck. Kasturi cannot take it anymore and pushes herself against him whispering his name.

Then Robbie slowly moves his hands in front and unbuttons Kasturi's blouse and his hands will touch Kasturi in this process and they will send such tingling sensations up her spine that she will want to scream. He will open 3 buttons when suddenly Kasturi's phone will ring. Both of them will snap out of the magic and Robbie will whisper
Robbie : Answer mat karo
But Kasturi fumbles around for her phone and answers it
Kasturi : Hello
Gireesh : Kasturi?
Kasturi (clears her throat) : Haan Gireesh, bolo.
Meanwhile Robbie will again reach towards her with an intention of unbuttoning the remaining buttons but Kasturi will push his hand away and turn away from him so her back is to him.
Gireesh : Kasturi 9.15 PM baj gaye hai. Tum kahaan ho? Mujhe lagtaa hai ab tumhe aa jaana chahiye.
Since her back is to him, Robbie moves Kasturi's plait and starts to kiss her earlobe and the back of her neck and he will slowly move downwards kissing her back. Kasturi will arch her back. She cannot handle anymore the sensation his kiss is causing in her.
Kasturi : Gireesh, bas aadhe ghante mei pahunchti hun. Bye
She disconnects the phone, turns back and pushes Robbie away.
Kasturi : Please....apne aap ko rokiye. Yeh aap kya kar rahe hai!!
But Robbie continues and after a lot of cajoling and begging he finally stops
Robbie : Kasturi, aisi haalat mei mujhe chod kar kaise jaa sakti ho?
Kasturi : Please jaane deejiye. Aap jaante hai mei abhi yahaan aur nahi ruk sakti. Agar ruk gayee, toh bahut badi musibat hogi. Please...
Finally Robbie gives in and gets into the driver's seat. Kasturi also adjusts her bindi, her hair and fixes her pallu and hides her mangalsutra again. They drive back in silence. But Robbie and Kasturi hold hands with their fingers intertwined throughout the drive back. Gireesh is waiting for them at the bus stop. Robbie stops the car and both he and Kasturi get out. He approaches Gireesh.
Gireesh : COngratulations Sir!
Robbie : Thanks Gireesh! Aur bahut bahut shukriya, jo madad aaj tumne kiyaa, woh kabhi nahi bhoolunga.
Gireesh : Please sir, mujhe sharminda mat keejiye. Kasturi chale?
Gireesh and Kasturi leave. Kasturi keeps turning back to look at Robbie. Just before they are about to disappear from his sight, he blows her a flying kiss. Then he turns upwards and thinks
Robbie : Oh God, yeh judaai kab khatam hogi???
