What’s with the all the Mom’s?

I am new to watching these serials and although I love the Robbie-Kasturi storlyine, I am so sick of the mom's always interfering in their kids love lives. Why does every serial have a horrible mother or a horrible mother-in-law????? I am sure that reality doesn't come anywhere near the BITE that these women take out of motherhood...

Anyone agree or disagree???

hi guys, the only way to stop these kinds of so possessive moms is a tough son who could stand up to them and tell them mind your own buisness and should not leave the woman they loved or before fallinf in love should ask their moms if they are mama's boys if they are independent and strong enough to make up their mind should go by their instinct. and iam sure our robbie the macho man should be tough enough to do this.

Sweetie4u, I completely agree with you and I don't understand it either. It seems like a serial staple to have either the mother or mother-in-law be all evil. I'm sure in life, there are some not so good mothers but on the flip side of the coin, there are fabulous mothers out there. Is it really that hard to imagine for a mother and son to get along well and want the best for her son?

i know, they always have the evil saas or meddling mother...but its sorta true to life...a lot mothers do have a hard time letting go of their sons...and mothers love to interfere, thats what mothers do...but they're not so evil as ekta's serials make them out to be...

i so agree... There are a few good moms who understand and some moms who are of the opinion that the son is the money making machine for them and in the serial we usually see the negative side of mums mostly....

Thanks for your comments, its nice to know that other people agree as well. I guess I was just hoping for them to portray the mother or mother-in-law as a nurturing, supportive figure rather than a controlling, money hungry and mean-spiritied human being. I guess I could stop watching the serial but I can't bring myself to do that with Kasturi because i love the chemistry between them and the discovery of a new love between them.
