I read this Prerna is forgiving and forgetting, and the insults and humiliations thrown at her are embraced by her with her quintessential "woh dil ke bure nahin hai" and she is ever forgiving and forgetting , even if ppl threw her in jail or off the bridge , she relishes on insults and beizzatis in the name of love

In such given situation respect doesn't even find one square inch of place

True. To earn respect, you need to respect yourself first.

Forgiving and forgetting? I see it more like a weakness and the incompetency that prevents one from judging and ultimately doing the right thing. It's not a virtue here.

If a woman wants to squander after half baked promises, it's her choice. If she wants to buy herself a cover on Fogue, its her choice.

But with choice comes consequences 😆 that should be shown as well. Prerna has faced them in the form of humiliations and a swim with the fishes underwater. Consequences helps us learn, gives us lessons. Prerna REFUSES to learn.

There is a limit to toxicity one voluntarily says yes for. Even if its a choice, one should be sound enough to recognise and say no to it. But her her character is so deplorable that she justifies the toxic environment and the toxic behaviour. You can justify it once but repeated justifications is sick. You cannot call it love and go free without an ounce of accountability. People do things to you because YOU let it happen. I won't blame the ML really. She deserves it because she let it happen.

Unapologetic flawed woman is different from Hypocritical taking the high moral ground woman. There’s a clear cut difference!

Flaunt your flaws!!!

A juicy story would have been, I am your wife but I will keep on doing my extra-marital affair with my lover. -flawed

I will scream loyalty despite EMA in the name of divinity: Hypocritical

I slept with you and enjoyed it, big deal but will still love my ex-proclamation-flawed

I will do pujas with you as a wife and do pujas with my ex-lover too and then claim patni, half patni-hypocritical

I am a cheer leader for flawed men and women but not hypocritical ones!

Don’t take the high morality road and scream on top of your lungs loyalty and then chew your own words with your actions-Hypocritical

If you have the sass to be flawed, own it up lady!

I would be the first one ☝🏼 to shout!

Sorry Shruti, but you’ll hear me ranting more. I am generally bad at opening topics and lazy too. I use your threads to say what I have to say.

Precisely. Characters evolve with time. Prerna is still the same...and that worsens the character because it takes a great deal of regressive thinking and other problematic shit to grovel in abuse and enjoy it every damn time.

SHE let it happen and encouraged filthy housefly. It can't be denied.

Shruti has said almost everything. There is barely anything left to be said. However, I won't miss the opportunity to say that Prerna Sharma Bajaj Basu has been the most pathetic disappointment thrown at the audience and embarrassingly flaunted as the strongest female lead. It's honestly so embarrassing.
