i wasn't going to post anything here because it would simply be a repeat (of what i said in my other thread, about reasons i think KZK is a failure) so I'll try to stick to the topic 😵
the CV's have had no idea what to do with any of the characters this season & the proof is in the rinse & repeat cycle in every track. they needed to keep AnuPre seperate so just used Komo & RB as props. with Komo it's easy, just show 2 women fighting over 1 man, sauten/sauten 😆 they didn't know what to do with RB because 2 MEN fighting for 1 WOMAN isn't popular with audience. The 'Ek chaat' track was the nail in the coffin for RB's character. In SP's zealous of keeping the lead couple on max SS, the CV's in their infinite wisdom decided that the 'Ek Chaat' track was the way to go 😡 (their are so many different tracks they could have done, hell i could have come up with better ones myself 🤔)
they scrapped his entire backstory related to the Basus, which was a HUGE mistake, it could have made things so interesting compared to the 🤢we were dealt with. they wrote him so inconsistently, 1 moment he was cool/suave next latoo/puppy they just didn't know what to do. (i don't class new RB as RB, they've completely changed the character )
i think KSG was always going to leave once the track shifted to AnuPre uniting hence 'The Mask' stunt. i don't think it was a sudden track change because of the characters failure, rather due to the actor leaving.
i think Parth was always going to leave & if it wasn't for KSG being replaced i really think KZK most likely would have continued with RB & Prerna. there hadn't been a proper PreRish track ever started (to my knowledge), i do think the CV's wanted to but never actually executed it. i don't count the weeks that Parth was off, the actors playing RB & Prerna never shot together, it was body doubles. you can't establish chemistry that way. plus with actors working from home & technical problems plaguing those episodes they were a complete disaster 🤢 anything they would have shown, even an AnuPre centric track would have failed. that was unavoidable, not any single characters fault so i don't understand how that relates to audience rejecting PreRish.
the fact that the new RB hadn't enough time to establish himself probably contributed, along with Covid, using of body doubles, working from home with exceptional technical failures & the probable replacement of another actor (main lead) meant it was more financially viable to shut shop.
eventhough I prefer RB I'm not biased and can acknowledge his failures. but the failures weren't his as a character but stemmed from the lack of direction the CV's had in writing him into the narrative. they tried to fit him in forcibly whereas they could have done it more organically if they actually tried, some suggestions, single father meeting single mother Prerna or his past with Basus or business rival to whom the Basus become indebted to etc... the waste 🥺🥺🥺 the CV's would have had more luck stalking this forum & reading some of the amazing PreRish fics on offer for inspiration 🤣
p.s sorry for rambling 😆
