This is after the scene where Kukki tells Prerna that she feels Rishabh does not love her the way he used to when she was small and Prerna convinces her of his love.

Prerna calls Rishabh to ask as to when is he coming to Kolkata.
"Hello Mr.Bajaj, aap Kolkata kab aa rahe hai. Mujhe aapse kuch baat karni hai. Kukki ke baare mein hai. It's important. "
He replies that he is coming in the evening before the party starts.
In the evening, Rishabh arrives and is tired because of the long flight from London and wants to rest for a while but Prerna is in no mood to let him go without having this conversation.
"Kya baat hai Prerna? Mai bahut tired feel kar raha hoon. Mujhe thoda rest karna hai party se pehle. Hum baadme baat karte hai." And he gets up to leave but Prerna catches his arm and asks him to sit down.
He sits down quietly looking at how angry his wife is.
"Aap ke liye apni beti zyaada important hai yaa unn Basu's ki party? Mai aapse tab se keh rahi hu ki mujhe ek zaroori baat karni hai par nahi aapko toh samaj hi nahi aa raha" She huffs angrily.
"Achha thik hai. Mai kahi nahi jaa raha. Ab bata bhi dijiye ki kya baat hai" Rishabh says knowing that Prerna won't let him go before telling what she needs to.
"Mr.Bajaj, aap please meri baat dhyaan se suniye gaa and mujhe interrupt toh bilkul mat kijiye ga. Mr. Bajaj, Kukki ko lagta hai ki aap usse pyaar nahi karte. Usse lagta hai ki woh ek achhi beti nahi hai yaa kyunki woh mujhse zyaada close ho gayi hai toh aap uss se thik se baat nahi karte. Mai jaanti hu ki yeh sach nahi. Mujhe pata hai aap Kukki se bahut pyaar karte hai. Woh aapke liye aaj bhi sabse zyaada important hai aur hamesha rahegi. She's your world Mr.Bajaj. I know ki aap jo uske saath aise strict rahte hai woh uske achhe ke liye hi hai but she feels that you don't love her anymore. She feels that she couldn't become a good daughter and that is the reason why you are always angry with her. Please talk to her Mr. Bajaj, She needs to know that what she's thinking is all rubbish. Tell her that you love her. Please! Aap usse baat kijiye."
Rishabh could only nod his head at her as he was not in the space to say anything. He was feeling so bad that his daughter thought that he hated her or was angry with her. He was so angry with himself right now that his daughter thought that she was the reason behind his behaviour. He wanted to kill himself right now to make his daughter feel that way. He thought Prerna was right about talking to Kukki. He made up his mind to talk to her right now.
He went to Kukki's room only to see that she was sleeping holding the teddy bear that he had given her on her 5th birthday so tightly as if it was him.
His eyes welled up seeing her love for him and he kissed her forehead slightly careful enough to not wake her up.
He took a paper and pen and started to write a letter for her expressing all his feelings. It was very difficult for him to stop the tears that were falling continuously as read the letter. He neatly folded the letter and kept it beside her phone.
He somehow knew that he would not be able to say everything to her if she was in front of him and this way he thought was the best for her to let her know his feelings.
He gave a last glance at Kukki and left the room praying that his daughter understands him and forgives him for his behaviour.
He and Prerna get ready and leave for the party at Basu Bari.
Meanwhile, in the Bajaj Mansion, Kukki gets up and finds the letter. She wonders who kept the letter and opens it. She is surprised to see the letter has been written by her father as she immediately recognised his handwriting. She starts reading the letter........
To my daughter, My dearest Kukki ,
Kukki beta, mujhe aaj Prerna ne bataaya ki aapko lagta hai ki mai aapse pyaar nahi karta, ki mai aapse gussa hoon yaa naaraz hoon aur aap apne aap ko iska reason maanti hai. Aisa bilkul nahi hai Kukki. I love you Kukki, you mean the world to me. Mujhe apne aap par itna gussa aaya tha ki tum aisa sochti ho ki you're not a good daughter. You're the world's best daughter, bachha. Haa, mai jaanta hoon ki tumhe aisa kyu laga hoga ki mai tumse pyaar nahi karta. Shayad isiliye kyuki inn 8 saalo mein mai itna busy ho gaya Prerna ko apne past se baahar laane mein ki I forgot ki tumhe bhi meri zarurat hai. I always kept thinking that you're a big girl and can handle yourself. I thought that Prerna ke paas sirf mai tha jisse woh sab kuch share kar sakti thi and if I went away then she'd again go into her past and get upset and depressed. In all this I forgot that tumhare paas bhi sirf main hi tha jisse tum sab keh sakti thi. Aur mai bhi tumse door ho gaya. I am sorry Kukki inn sab ke liye. Mai hamesha kehta tha ki jab hum dono ke paas koi nahi tha toh sirf hum hi the ek dusre ke liye . Aur mai hi yeh bhul gaya. Aap jaanti hai Kukki ki jab aapki mumma hume chod kar chali gayi thi tab I broke down thinking that I could not live without her. But that was the day when you held my hand for the first time and gave me a small smile. It gave me hope Kukki that everything would be fine. Aur uss din se you became my everything. I could not imagine a life without you Kukki. Mere har din ki shuruat tumhari smile dekhkar hoti thi and jab mein shaam ko office se aata tha tab tumhari smile se mere saare tensions ek pal mein gayab ho jaate the. Tumne jab mujhe pehli baar dad kaha tha , it felt as if it was the best thing to hear. I wanted to hear dad from your mouth continuously. Your hugs gave me comfort, your smile gave me hope, you actions gave me laughter, you voice gave me peace, your presence made my world beautiful. I can never think of even living a day without you Kukki . Please forgive me for all I have done these 8 years Kukki. I promise to make it up to you. You can give me any punishment but please never hate me and never stop talking to me Kukki. I'll die if you don't talk to me. I am sorry. And one last thing : Never feel that you're alone. No matter how near or fart apart, I am always right there in your heart. Never forget that whatever happens, no matter what, I will always love you. Always.
As soon as Kukki read the last word, she broke down in tears as she realised that she had always been wrong about thinking that her father didn't love her. He loved her so much . She never realised that she was so important to him. She made a promise to herself that she will also be there with her father no matter what happens. She'll make it up to him for all the lost time. She heard the doorbell ringing indicating that her parents had come back from the party. Kukki ran down the stairs straight into her father's arms.
She hugged him tightly and whispered inti his ears " I am so sorry dad for believing that you didn't love me. I am so sorry. I wish I had spoken to you earlier. Toh i wouldn't have gotten such a big misunderstanding. I am sorry. And I love you."
Rishabh was holding her so tightly as if his life depended on her , it actually did because she was his life. He was glad that his daughter did not hate him. He smiled and whispered back to her " It's okay. It's my fault to and I am sorry for that. I love you too Kukki"
Prerna did not know what conversation happened between the now two most important people in her life but she was glad that they'd sorted everything out and were together forever. She smiled with tears in her eyes and prayed to Bappa to keep her family happy and together always.
