What if? What if Prerna (P) had really fallen off the cliff and Anurag (A) is unable to save her? Just thought of a small spin off....hope all of you like it... I shall try to complete it in two or maximum three parts. All comments welcome.

Anurag reaches just in time to see Prerna tied and about to be pushed down the cliff. He runs to the spot and jumps to catch the rope tied to her. But alas, he misses it and he sees Prerna falling down the cliff right in front of his eyes screaming "Anurag".... he shouts Prerna and keeps watching her fall. Meanwhile Viraj reaches there ( he had earlier called Anurag and found out that he has reached the cliff where Prerna has been taken. So Viraj also follows there). Viraj also runs to the spot only to see the last glimpse of Prerna falling down.
Viraj manages to shake Anurag who looks like he has transformed into a statue. Anurag looks at VIraj and points out to him Prerna and shows him the down of the cliff. he faints and falls down.
Viraj calls Moloy: Uncle, this is Viraj here. Prerna has fallen off the cliff located on the road from Calcutta to Dehradun. Anurag has fainted. I am taking him to the nearest hospital. Aaap please ask the commissioner to send a search team to locate Prerna. I shall call you from the hospital.
Sonalika rushes there..."Anu baby what happened to you. Viraj lets take him to the hospital."
Viraj and Sonalika rush him to the nearest hospital. Viraj carries Anurag and rushes to his car. Both of them take Anurag to the hospital and he is taken to the ICU.
Viraj's thoughts: "How did Sonalika reach the cliff? Nobody except Anurag and myself knew where Prerna had been taken? Also while rushing to the car I saw her turn back and instruct those goons there with her eyes.......something is really fishy.....i need to find out what it is.
Viraj calls Moloy and asks him to come to city hospital.
Entire Basus arrive at the hospital. Moloy thanks Viraj for helping Anu. Viraj asks him about the team for Prerna.
Moloy: Dont worry Viraj. The commisioner is sending a search team for Prerna.
Mohini: I dont care what happens to Prerna. Moloy our son is in the ICU and you are only worried about Prerna. that girl is bad luck for my son. She always gets caught and my son goes to rescue her and falls into some trouble or the other. I am fed up. I only wish we are not able to find her at all. Good riddance....My son will have some peace in his life.
Viraj is shocked, astonished all rolled into one. He is unable to understand how somebody can be so insensitive, that too for a pregnant woman.
Moloy: Just shut up Mohini. This is a hospital, not your house. so just keep quiet. He takes Viraj a little farther and assures him that commissioner is on the job.
Anupam brings the Sharmas to the hospital. Veena goes to Viraj and thanks him for bringing Anu to the hospital. at the same time, she starts crying thinking about Prerna.
Mohini: Veena please dont cry for your daughter here. i dont want anything or anybody related to her anywhere close to my family. so please go away.....
Moloy assures Veena that he is on the job of finding Prerna and requests Viraj to drop them at their home.
Anurag is in the ICU still unconscious.
Sonalika puts up a worried face and stands near Mohini comforting her. In reality she is worried, not for Anurag's health, but what if he regains his memory???
Elsewhere we find Prerna in a hospital unconscious in ICU. Vishal and Ragini are the couple who found her and brought her to the hospital.
Vishal: I am worried about this lady. she is such an advanced state of pregnancy and has fallen off the cliff.
Ragini: Yes, I am also thinking the same. Who would take such a risk? LEt us wait for her to regain consciousness and we shall ask her.
Meanwhile the doctor comes and asks for the people who have come with Prerna.
Doctor to Vishal and Ragini: Are you with her (pointing to the ICU)?
Vishal: Yes.
Doc: Are you her family? We need you sign this consent form...because both the mother and child are critical and we will be able to save only one of them. So please sign, then only i can start the operation.
Vishal and Ragini look at each other and decide to sign the form.
Vishal signs the form saying that she is his sister. Doctor goes to do the operation. Doctor is able to save only Prerna. Unfortunately he is unable to save the baby. He informs Vishal and Ragini and tells them that they can take her home in a few days. Both Vishal and Ragini are sad for the baby.
Prerna regains consciousness. She finds herself in a hospital. She touches her stomach to find it flat. She smiles thinking the baby must have born. she is eager to know whether it is a boy or girl.
Vishal and Ragini come inside.
Ragini: How are you feeling? Me and my husband found you in a bush off the cliff unconscious. so we brought you to the hospital.
Prerna: Thank you very much. Please let me see my baby...where is she? Its a girl right?
Ragini and Vishal look at each other wondering how to break the news to her.
Ragini: Please listen to me. Be strong. Sorry to say that the doctor was not able to save your baby. we are very sorry......
Prerna is in a shock. she does not react. she becomes numb.
