If any one of you are strongly wishing to see a strong & independent Pre who minds her own life & doesn't need a man's support in her life, i would say, you are not going to get it soon. Because, that is how Prerna's character is being sketched and has been made clear in the beginning episodes itself. In the first episode itself, during Durga pooja we saw her praying for a storm in her life. In the second episode we saw her obsession for thorn-bird type love while talking to Anu and how much she believes that pain & love go hand in hand. In the library scene we got to hear through Anu about her craze for Romeo-Juliet type stories. In short, Pre subconsciously is a person who is strongly influenced by tragic & painful love stories. Which is why, how much ever you yearn to see her out of the painful situations on her own will, it is not going to happen. Because, pain & love has been jointly engraved in her heart so deeply that pain & anguish will never deter her from fighting for her love, especially when his safety is at stake.
This is were Anu becomes totally different from Pre. When Pre tells him about the thorn-bird story, his immediate reaction is that lying & dying for someone is rubbish and that there is much in life apart from love. Yes, it is true that after falling in love he had to swallow his words; but what made his love different from Pre's is that his idea of love was never influenced by tragic stories. Anu from the first episode itself was shown to be a pious person who never missed his early morning poojas while Pre was introduced to have friendly/playful vibes w.r.to divine power. That is why, among the two, Anu was seen to be the more optimistic partner. In their first confession and even during the recent Durga pooja interactions, he was the one who was seen reminding Pre about how their first meeting in the pandal was blessed by Durga and how on many other occassions it was proved that AnuPre happened because that was the wish of the supreme power. I still believe that, if he hadn't been pressurised by both the father's health condition and by the Sharma parivar's tears, Anu for sure would have found a way out from marrying Komo. Because, when Komo during her interaction at her house tried to blackmail Anu using BP, BB, SN documents, he didn't agree to her condition. Only when he reached the hospital and saw both the father's health deteriorating, that he called Komo & agreed to her condition. And that was the first decision Anu took with his heart. Yet, he made sure to use his mind not to fall into Komo's traps and made it clear to her where her limit ends. So, if for Pre it is pain that drives her to be in love, for Anu it is the conviction he has in his heart that makes him strong & firm in his love.
Difference between the earlier kasautiis & the new kasautii is that AnuPre didn't know to what extent they both loved each other. Earlier, they both sacrificed for the sake of their love. But now that they both have realised how strong & deep their love is, what we are going to witness is how Anu through the leadings of his subconscious mind and Pre with the strength Anu's love has given her, will overcome their new Kasautii.
Prerna had once said that 'Love is a beautiful feeling; its decision is taken by heart, not by tossing any coin'. And once, while talking to her friend Anju, Pre said she will only love a person who will be mad and will make her mad too. Isn't that what we have been witnessing since AnuPre confession till now and in the process getting mad at these two?
