I agree - he's waiting for her to say the word and come to him the penance of her regret. He's waiting for her to say I trust you and then he'll start the chess moves accordingly. As soon as she's on his side, winning will become a lot easier. If his wife doesn't trust him, how terribly bad does that look on his image? She may become a hindrance so thats why first her n then rest to deal with. Winning chance is not issue, she wont let him play the game. Thats the difficulty which he foreshadowed n wants her to be with him.

The letting Prerna go free willingly is what will cement Bajaj as the greatest character on this show. He's made his mistake, he regrets feeling the way he does now, he expressed his guilt to Prerna for the deal. Once he realizes how much he loves her, him letting her go is the ONE thing that will make him rise above the rest. And that is gonna be the true mark of his character. I have always always believed this.
