A good writing and a good episode director could have portrayed her conflict well enough for this character to garner sympathy and empathy from the entire audience irrespective of fandom. Her being torn between love and loyalty, the angst, the character growth -- it would have been such high octane arc.

But the botched up writing and equally shoddy direction has made this Show such a convoluted mess. This must be the first time EKta must have had such a nikamma team.

Like Prerna, audience were also torn in S1 because we could see flaws in both the males.

But here, why are they showing Bajaj as someone ideal ? Stop whitewashing and then may be, I can like him.

Actually anyone who has seen S1 would agree.

I actually loved Bajaj then. Because at this point of storyline he was never whitewashed. On the contrary he was shown as the villian.

It was much much later that he started turning positive. The redemption track was shown beautifully that how a villian can also turn into a good guy due to love.

But here, this Bajaj is shown as an ideal pati and a good man, which doesn't make sense at this point of storyline.

You know I haven't watched S1 (I was actually busy watching Tom and Jerry and playing with my doll house then🤣) barring a few episodes on Youtube after the reboot announcement.

My mom resonates the same sensibilites like yours... According to her Pre-RB arc was the highlight of S1. She still gushes over how organic their journey was. From forced marriage to being friends. Then them being each others philosopher-guide-and mentor apart from being parents to each others' kids and the ultimate love that has been nothing but a natural progression over the time. the love was nothing but an organic culmination of all the ups and down that they went through the journey they shared together. RB became worthy of Pre when he regretted his wrong doings and redeemed himself.

Even today, my mom is such a mush when it comes to them...😆
