Firstly hun, thank you so much for your appreciation. I would like to really give you some idea about how shows are written. Trust me, writers have great depth and thought process, they have a creative vision and do like to peel layers but this is ITV we are talking about.

Let’s roll back to the good ole 90’s which had shows full of simplicity and creativity. It was because TV and cable connections were privileged to a class of society who were educated and had access to this commodity. Yes, back then, given the economy, TV was lavish and cable was luxury.

However, the great millennium changed everything and every house suddenly started having access to cables and TVs. And, along came the Czarina EKta who brought fashion, Indian traditions to homes and women who would view TV at leisure time. What’s even more interesting is that she just overdramatised everything. From clothes to traditions to fashion. The grannies could relate to it, the daughter in law’s could too given the emotions . Rest, glamour and fashion would widen their eyes. I still remember the Komilika glossy lipsticks and Ramola Sikand bindis popular in marriage functions.

Imagine this-we see a lot of digital content these days with gore, guns, violence, drug and substance abuse along with crazy sexual behaviour. I agree these exist in society but digital content too is nothing but a dramatised version of the current times.

I live amongst millennials- not everyone starts hurling abuses at the drop of a hat!

We are in an age and era of transition. What was fashion some years ago, comes back as retro fashion!

In a nutshell, shows could be absolutely senseless, might be appalling and sexist-it is because mass medium has to cater to an audience which could be maids, home makers or working women. To strike a balance is a hard task. They make rubbish sometimes and I cannot help but rant like madness. But that’s how entertainment is? We are in an era where Dhinchak Pooja makes insane money and bloggers give medical advise!

Expecting a TV show to make sense is the last thing I expect 😆

P.S- I read and write between what the characters could be and maybe the writer could have imagined. As long as it keeps me hooked, I’d go with the flow.

I have left rambling over quality content for my own peace of mind. Chipkalis and Dayans and what not😆

💯💯Completely on point

Well, that sums up that we really can't do anything about it! It's a pity, because the same writers do show some flashes of brilliance here and there, but then again revert back to mediocrity. The good thing today is that web-based shows are giving good competition to TV content in terms of popularity and profitability and hopefully will supersede in a few years. Then, if not Ekta, someone else might be revolutionize content on TV (for better or worse).

As a completely rational discussion, I will try to put some perspective to your questions.

There’s something called balance in life. There comes a point of time in life, you accept things, come to a neutral point and stop grieving and moping. Doesn’t mean the pain, hurt, hatred and anger isn’t there anymore. There’s a period to grief. And, situational grieving eventually paves way to passive acceptance and coexistence.

Her normal behaviour could be called as human existence. Prolonged grieving and aggravated anger either exists in TV shows or people with mental health issues that needs to be addressed with compassion and professional healthcare.

Even after grave tragedies like death, people gather themselves and carry on with that thing called life.

Does that mean they aren’t grieving- they do but have different forms.

Has Prerna moved on- No. Her emotions are still there like her love for Anurag and her hatred for Bajaj. But can she express both these emotions freely to both the men? No. Different reasons but both her extreme emotions for both the people start showing up every now and then. Her love for Anurag in the form of silent tears and her hatred for Bajaj in the form of rebuke and snubbing.

But, we often forget, extreme emotions burn you out. Prerna is burnt yet has a sense of acceptance and quiet. Just because she isn’t lamenting and slapping around Bajaj doesn’t mean she isn’t grieving or hating. She is simply existing. That’s what humans do. We somehow find a reason for existence despite being in tragic or suffocating situations.

I hope that gives a tangent to your thought process.

Hey, this is brilliant. It would be too realistic to expect Prerna to seek out grief counseling or any kind of counseling. It would be awesome to watch explore herself and her actions and their justifications in counseling sessions. It will illuminate so much, and make us understand her character so much better.

Frankly, I am only interested in the female lead. The men in the show are just extras for me. Of the two, Bajaj is more interesting because he has layers but also because he opens himself up to ridicule. The CVS must have had fun sketching a man out of the 1950s living in the 21st century.

Haha, true, Bajaj is a ruthless businessman, but then you know what they call people who do business with people's lives?

Anyway, Bajaj did actually put Anurag in jail, albeit indirectly. Anu was framed for a crime he never committed and Bajaj knew that. He knew that Anu was innocent but still he had no qualms about framing an innocent man just to get a nanny for his child. It's amazing how he is such a good businessman and knows so much about deals, but still couldn't get a proper care-taker for his child. Irony, I tell you! If only Prerna had known that her love and care towards a child would one day contribute to destroying her life.

I love how everyone here talks about deals - it would have been an actual deal if Anurag had actually committed a crime and Bajaj had agreed to let him go in exchange for Prerna marrying him but that wasn't the case. Assume Prerna had not accepted the deal, Bajaj would have been completely fine letting a person he knew was innocent go to jail or even hang - what does that say about him as a person?

Prerna always lack self respect and self esteem from beginning. I can’t believe she sacrificed for guy who publicly humiliated her and have a one day stand with her then married someone else. What else you expect from her. Moreover bajaj just present a deal which she took as she was too lazy and dumb to investigate further.

When he was shooting daggers to Moloy?

When you encounter a person in a wheelchair all alone in a room, your first reaction would be to ask him politely if he needs something? Smile a little, make him feel comfortable, you know.

Moloy did something terrible to bajaj in The past why we are expecting him to be nice to moloy but still he called servants to take him in room as he was alone. Why expecting humanity from bajaj when his 8 years old daughter went missing, basus took it too causal and Instead of help anurag’s sister was taunting prerna.

@Bold For Anupre fandom it could be blackmail marriage , but for prerna this is a deal marriage . where both party agreed on certain terms and conditions. one did for saving boyfriend and another one did for his daughter's life. so both are here loyal towards each other on their respective duty

If marriage is a deal, then a deal can be made in both ethical and unethical means, Bajaj's deal was made in an unethical mean, someone was going to be imprisoned, he took advantage of that someone's would be wife, if this looks like a normal deal to you then well i will not reinforce the fact that for majority of the viewers this indeed looks like a theory of blackmail. Anurag's safety is not a business deal for prerna, much more than anything else, she WAS FORCED to marry Bajaj, not like Bajaj gave her second option to save Anurag making it a literal business deal to hire a nanny

@Second Bold This is nothing new for prerna, she was always a doormat . once she was anurag's doormat and now bajaj. as there were a lot of romanticism between anupre so that time selectively prerna's status was ignored by viewers, as this is bajaj here , so now it is highlighted. but the fact is prerna is always like that. she always needs a kandha / supports to live .

Viewers have always pointed out her lack of developing a backbone, but she was never a doormat to Anurag, if that would be the case then she would never return to BB post Anu-Komo marriage, there is a difference between claiming your right and being a doormat, she claimed her rights in Anurag's life in the process of which she was mis-treated by mohini and co whereas in present situation she is getting the treatment of a child's nanny and she is mum about this fact, the two situations are different and has different gravitas in prerna's life. Anurag was her love, there was feeling of betrayal, hatred and also the fact that she was prenant with his child, and in this case, Bajaj is her 'BOSS(courtesy the so called deal)', you are always free to get out from a toxic and disrespectful 'business deal' when you have nothing to loose anymore.

@3rd bold CV's main focus is currently about the basu bari . that is why they are not showing any official works both for bajaj and anurag .

He was not throwing daggers here to moloy. he tried to help moloy as he was alone. asked servants to be with moloy always as moloy is a paralyzed patient if he needs something suddenly .

Helping can be done in a respectful tone too, charging a paralyzed man for being in his own house and then yelling at the housekeepers (the way he yelled at his daughter's nanny too) do not fall in category of helping. Anyways, Bajaj is in BB since 2 days now, since the past few months Moloy has been taking care of himself and so is his family so what the hell does Bajaj think he was trying to do ?

My thoughts exactly!! I randomly read Prerna said he was the best father??! like to be a good father you need to be a good MAN first - and a man who blackmails a woman to marry him - that too knowing she is pregnant with her lover's child is just so pukeworthy! there is NO REDEMPTION for such a man - what kind of role model dad is he to his daughter - he wrecked the life of another woman and thinks it's OK ..another man does that to his daughter whom he supposedly loves the most, would he be OK? ..

Prerna even tolerating his presence around her is just so low for a woman!! it's different if she wasn't attached to Anurag already or wasn't carrying his child ..she is hurting Anurag immensely - and even worse hiding the fact that she's pregnant with his child! ..so what's her plan? Anurag will never know that he fathered a child? ..

with time audience is going to lose interest in wanting anupre together ..i'm already starting to think prerna is burning so many bridges it's hard to mend their relationship now!! .. and pre-jaj seems like a terrible idea to me right now ..I am no mood to watch that love story blossom! a love story that started by killing another love story is no love story at all!

Why is Prerna Sharma treating Mr. Bajaj like he is a normal guy? He blackmailed her into marriage, destroyed her dreams of sharing her life with Anurag, and then thrust a special-needs child on her? She has to show more hate towards him. Instead, she is busy hating Anurag.
It truly is an upside-down world!

I want to see a Prerna Sharma who is plotting to get even with Bajaj. He ruined her life. Get even girl!! Show some spirit, get a backbone. Stop being a doormat. Stop being so fatalistic!!! How did we end with such a gutless girl as the FL?

And why is Mr. Bajaj not at his office working? Why is he, all dressed up in a three-piece suit, wandering around Basu Bari, mumbling and throwing daggers at Moloy? Can someone translate his words? It is unfair to viewers that he mumbles.

Mohini scene was an absolute relief! 😊

Bajaj didn't force prerna to marry him. He told her is her choice. If she wants to back out she can. Plain and simple. It's not bajaj concern whether anurag goes to jail or not. He was doing what's best for him.

Bajaj is a ruthless business man. As the show has emphasized heavily he has a heart but doesn't listen to it. As per the latest episode he had a rough childhood. It's events from childhood that makes a person be who they are. The hardships, difficulties and environment. Bajaj saw a opportunity and cracked the best deal. He admitted he is a selfish and bad person. But just because he is a ruthless businessman doesn't make him a bad father. These two things can be separated. In real life we see people like that. Many in fact. That's why prerna acknowledges it to. He is a ruthless person to people but a great father to his child.

When it comes to prerna she has no self respect and backbone. She constantly sacrifices herself for others without thinking of herself. Bajaj may be a villain to some viewers but those conversations he had with prerna were mature given that he is an older person with experience. Did anurag and prerna ever have such scenes excluding their romance scenes? There is no love and trust in that relationship.

When he was shooting daggers to Moloy?

When Bajaj walked into the room where Moloy was sitting in his wheelchair. I got the impression he was totally unpleased to see Moloy and was shooting daggers at him. In fact, his acting was spot on. He showed anger and hatred. His eyes were spilling with emotion. But there was a certain sense of intimacy. Like the two have a connection. What do you think?

Bajaj's reaction was so un-Bajaj like. He usually behaves like a polite gentleman. He usually offers his foes a drink and chats politely. His reaction to Moloy was uncharacteristic.

I guess Moloy is somehow related to his Bajaj's childhood and struggles. I wonder if Moloy is his biological dad? That would be a twist and a half and lots more dirama!!! 🤣
