The FIRST TIME EVER I am actually enjoying Moh-Nivi's taunting...
I loved how they gave it to Maasi and Tanvi LOL
And to prerna too....This time pre deserves taunts
Hey, this is brilliant. It would be too realistic to expect Prerna to seek out grief counseling or any kind of counseling. It would be awesome to watch explore herself and her actions and their justifications in counseling sessions. It will illuminate so much, and make us understand her character so much better.
Frankly, I am only interested in the female lead. The men in the show are just extras for me. Of the two, Bajaj is more interesting because he has layers but also because he opens himself up to ridicule. The CVS must have had fun sketching a man out of the 1950s living in the 21st century.
Thank you. On part 1, I am yet to see a show where the REAL turmoils of a female lead is shown. If you look at the leads that exist in the TV shows, they always are shown in perspective to other people. How good a daughter she is, how loyal a wife, how caring as a mother, how sacrificial lamb when it comes to her family. God forbid if she has a career, it would only be to support her family. How difficult it is to show a girl who is ambitious for the heck of it and not to support her family. People like her exist in reality, don’t they?
Coming to counselling! Mental health is one of the most neglected forms of healthcare in our society. Forget TV shows, in real life too people are afraid to go to counsellors and seek therapy because of the stigma attached to it. It would have been a treat to watch a heroine like that!
People who cope with PTSD and become ruthless or grieve or have psychological challenges are shown to be lunatics, evil scheming, hysterical bitches. (My greatest annoyance with Beyhadh and the portrayal of Maya)
We, as a society need to grow up and TV shows should start reflecting too. But trust me, across cultures the pressure on women is too much. Why only India, the west too struggled for years to get even voting rights!
You’d not believe that women empowerment magazines across the globe used to feature articles as early as the 60’s like -How to please your man and be a good wife?
Sexist and plain disgusting. Every now and then we see women being exploited even in the 21st century.
I so wish I could see one show where I could applaud the female lead and say Wow! As long as soap operas and TRP’s exist, they keep dishing out crap and OTT drama
