Bajaj-Anu have entered that phase where every action of either side would lead to an equal & opposite reaction.
Bajaj began this game by taking over Anu's business partially & the all-out attack was Prerna marrying Bajaj on a very crucial day. Business rivalry had its base in past while marriage was based on his own motives which were all avout his daughter. But Anurag doesn't know any of that yet. When Bajaj says, he didn't get personal with Anu, he forgets that Prerna marrying him on the day she was supposed to get married to Anurag would indeed by very, very personal to any man. Bajaj would have been doing the same had it happened with him. To be left at wedding altar on the D-day is indeed a matter of personal insult for any man or woman from human behavior POV. For Anurag, stripping Bajaj off his business & home is a personal attack because he thinks Bajaj's achievements are very personl to him.
It's not a matter of principle but of attacking the enemy wherever it hurts them. Bajaj is Anurag's enemy right now by all means. Bajaj thinks that what he did wasn't meant to hurt Anurag personally but benefit himself for the sake of his daughter. That is true from Bajaj's POV but Anurag has a completely contradicting POV, thanks to Bajaj & Prerna's actions.
While Prerna now knows why he had married her, let's not forget that Anurag still doesn't have a closure he can strongly believe in & move on. Prerna's excuse that Anurag wasn't rich & influential enough would fuel him to do exactly the same, only because she challenged him for such a trivial thing and now it has become a Zidd. It was same as Anu telling Prerna on how she wasn't enough for him because of her class & status and Prerna had vowed to destroy Anurag for what he had done & not let him have a moment of peace with his decision. Prerna degraded herself but at the cost of insulting Anurag as well, it was a passive insult.
This entire chain of events is a reaction to past actions.
Anurag will not stop until either of one happens-
1. Either Bajaj reveals the past which can prove to be a setback to Anurag & give him an upper hand over Anurag's recent chain of actions.
2. Prerna gives him a closure by telling him the truth that can help him move on, instead of chastizing him like that with such insults. To be insulted after getting betrayed makes up for a very dangerous person.
If Prerna thinks that she can stop Anurag with what she is doing right now, she forgets that this Anurag is behaving just like she did back then. If Prerna thinks that Bajaj won't retaliate just because of the promise, she is undermining Bajaj as well.
As for Bajaj, he can do only one thing- Retaliate, which suits his character. I don't expect him to sit silent just for a promise when other side is on an all-out attack.
It all boils down to what Prerna does. She cannot continue to behave like a pendulum between two men, pacify both to keep catastrophe at bay. She has to make a decision to end it for once & all and this can be done only be revealing the truth, else this game will not halt, neither will the sequence of action & reaction.
