John Abraham's on-screen mother to play Mr.Bajaj's bua

Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagii Kay is currently going through a high voltage drama. With the show's lead Prerna Sharma (Erica Fernandes) ditching Anurag Basu (Parth Samthaan) to marry Mr Bajaj (Karan Singh Grover), the narrative has taken a new turn. And there is more drama in store. According to BollywoodLife's reliable source, the daily soap will soon witness the entry of a new character, who will spice-up the show, which is already high on drama.

Veteran actress Alka Amin, who has been a part of several shows of Balaji Telefilms, is soon going to enter Kasautii Zindagii Kay. The 50-year-old actress was last seen in John Abraham-led Romeo Akbar Walter. She played Waheeda, John's on-screen mother. And now, the actress will play Karan Singh Grover's on-screen bua (paternal aunt). As per our source, Alka will play the new antagonist in Prerna's life and will make her life hell. "Alka signed the show on Tuesday and will play Mr Bajaj's aunt, who won't have a soft corner for Prerna," a source confirmed.

Alka has worked with Ekta Kapoor’s production house in the past, featuring in shows like Parichay, Kya Huaa Tera Vaada, Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh, Kalash and Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil. The actress won accolades for her brief yet notable performance in films like Badhaai Ho and Luka Chuppi. We couldn't reach the actress for her comments.

With Alka’s entry, Kasautii Zindagii Kay will progress towards some major twists and turns.

Currently, the show was a topic of hot discussion with Prerna and Mr Bajaj’s wedding disappointing several loyal fans.
