So many marriages but no sex! [DT Note : Page 4]

All I am interested in why the characters in this show get married in various ways to different people yet no one is having much sex if any! This is not normal!

I realize it is fictional (duh) but how did India become the second most populous country in the world when IndianTV sends out subconscious messages of no sex that people internalize and are influenced by??

Very perplexing, for me.

India become the second most populous country in the world because in India 70% of people are below poverty line and they dont have proper education and these Tv shows they dont see . Their only motive in life is to give birth to more children so that earning can be there. They are uneducated and they dont understand this simple fact that by giving birth to more children they have to give basic facilities to each person. And these TV shows have nothing to do with real life.

Shows in India have nothing to do with teaching people about sex. Someone has answered this very nicely above.

You would be surprised by how much TV has to do with real life!

The shows send a million different signals to viewers which are embedded in your subconscious mind and influences you in subtle and not-so-subtle ways. That is why parents stop children from watching TV they think will negatively influence the children. Think about it!!

The role of media influencing lives is well documented. Why do you think some countries ban TV from Western nations and restrict access to social media? Saudi Arabia comes to mind.

Thanks for understanding me. I think married people are not that fool to rely on TVshow story or content or what a show is trying to portray.🤣

You are so mistaken!!!!

Indian TV teaches you so many things about sex. From this show, I have learnt the following:

Sex is not normal for young people, sex is only available after marriage, sex before marriage leads to pregnancy, sex between two young single people should always lead to marriage, otherwise, the man may be accused of rape, sex is not available if two people are not legally married. Traditional marriage does not count. There is only one of kind of sex, between man and woman. Sexual compatibility between a couple is not important, class is way more important. and so on.....

Yes TV influences some but basically children or young adults . Who are mature they all know these are just for entertainment and all this is nothing to do with real life. Basically one thing is there ITV shows are most rubbish in story and content even pakistani shows are much better. And one thing all ITV shows romance is highlighted too much . Imagine in 22 min 5min they are wasting on showing songs and eyelocks. and in foreign shows their sole focus is on story. And in there no series are strtched for yrs like in India. and they basically show episodes in series. And in Indian even if u filed petition against any show its not worthwhile. ANd this is not a new thing in indian shows. Actually today youth want to watch netflix or foreign shows.

I think you are missing my point about being influenced by TV. I am not young (sigh!) but I am very influenced by this show. I am picking up on all kinds of subtle clues on how to behave in the Indian society.

I agree that romance is highlighted in these shows and the "real life" of hooking up and having sex by young people is swept under the rug. But that is my whole argument. How can Indian TV shows be sending out all these subtle messages about no sex, yet the country's population is so huge?

BTW, some soap operas in the US have been running for 40+ years. It is a different formula.

One advice for u stop taking these shows seriously u will gone insane . And how to behave in the Indian society by picking up clues from these shows r u kidding🤣
