Kasauti Zindagi ki was probably the only ITV soap opera I remember watching as kid along with my aunt ,though I started liking it a lot later during Prem-Mukti phase. When season 2 was verge of launching and the way Ekta was promoting it with all pomp and statues(Which tbh i find really silly :P) , I thought it would be something different. She seems to be so invested in the promotions of this show alone and even now she splurging money blindly on KZK, ie Casting expensive actors etc. But isn't content and characterization the most important thing. I know KZK is grabbing trps giving decent returns to ekta but isn't the essence of Recreation is lost.
If you are recreating or reinventing a already successful product, usually you ensure its better and more progressive then the past one. But Here KZK1 will always be far more progressive then KZK2 , in terms of story as well characterization. I never followed Anurag-Prerna-bajaj story thoroughly but one thing I love from the show apart from prem-mukti was characterization of prerna. She was the first unwed ITV mother and what a tigress that lady was, since the very beginning. Shweta Tiwari ACED IT.
When the new season came, I never expected this kind of degradation in terms of characterization. I am not a regular viewer of the show, but I do watch few scenes here and there sometimes and keep tab on story line through media portals, specially after the overflowing articles on bajaj. Today I saw much hyped bajaj-prerna scene, which i somewhat wanted to watch since i got to know about KSG essaying the former.
BLAND. is the one word I have for it.
Those trashy DIALOGUES really exist today?The lectures spewed by prerna 2 will make prerna 1 cry tears of blood and I make it clear i am not new to balaji leading ladies mahanta and their lectures. Ishita from YHM is the one i like the most so far and she is the eternal jagatmata and lecture queen.
Seriously what were you trying to do woman?
First impulsively barging in his mansion and yelling at him like a crazy, traits that usually results in being escorted out by guards, but Bajaj lets her in! Then you go on with your lecture about humanity, morals, ethics, ghar , parivar, sapne and khushiyaan Nonsense, in front of a man who apparently takes pride in his shady morals and go getting and ruthless techniques and Mind you she was pre-warned by anurag about the character sketch of this man. An then you go ahead and commit the idiocy of all the times. Even his smug expressions didn't stop you from yapping your sob story and sings sermons of your self sacrificing eternal love of anurag in front of him, without noticing how you gave him another peek into their weakness. What was she exactly expecting? Pity? or she thinks her plight and tears will change his heart?
Anurag's break in Bajaj's so called ' HIGH SECURITY' mansion was funny, but prerna's was Plain annoying and lame if may add. Anurag-Bajaj's conversation was still some what rational one while Bajaj- prerna's made me barf and it disappointment was more because of stupid high hopes. And what the hell is Nivi doing, isn't she should be the one to confront Bajaj. The disaster could be averted then. The marriage proposal tomorrow that bajaj is going to flung in her face is because, today Anurag and prerna both proved that they are each other's weakness more than the strength they would assumed to be and like any shrewd man, bajaj is going to take what is presented by Ms. Sharma/ Mrs. hoke bhi na ho chuki Basu on the silver platter.
I am not a regular viewer so I won't get into who is more worse than other be it Anurag-prerna- bajaj-komolika or any one else, but today the sheer stupidity my eyes endured has made me cringe. To be honest sacrifice for her mother would have made more sense and would have earned her some dignity which she is desperately lacking. But since that scene is not aired yet,so truly early to comment. About Anurag and prerna as a couple, they are much better off without each other. Creatives of the show sometimes try to hard to portray that they meant to be and all, but in reality they come across as two retarded individuals who are not ready for relationship, not with ANYONE, let alone each other. High time prerna take time off from being a ping pong bride, going from man to man and focus on something productive, Because so far I think she is still Bhahravi paas with no job and tons of lousy suitors. The same goes for Anurag too, because initially i saw a scene where he wanted to stand on his own feet instead of taking over family business. So he should go with his original plan and might as well drop his possessed mother in haridwar or Varanasi for world peace. It will be a relief to see them putting full stop on coming up with creative ways of sacrificing in the end of every god damn track. I am going to ignore whole pregnancy nuisance in this post like creatives are doing it fabulously. If they don't care, why should we!
In balaji shows, usually life of logic and appeal is 1 year but this one is going down without crossing that benchmark! God bless the regular viewers..
