Nivi and Veena - a realistic episode!

A lot of people are saying they are disappointed with this episode. I am not for the following reasons.

People harp on about scenes being unreal etc but the moment reality is shown it’s then too boring. How different are we really from the TRP aunties!!

In my view today was one of the most realist episodes:

- Anurag frustration was so real. His reaction to office problem coming home when his mom is making him drown in made up home issues is how anyone would behave. People will and probably already have written essays about how this behaviour will compare to the supercilious coolness of the new negative character. But it’s the latter that not based on reality.

- anyone who knows me on this forum knows that I have been waiting for the day when they bring Nivi back to the business. She is older and has more experience with the company. She lacked EQ in the past but now that has changed. It would be great to see her as a excellent business women. And something I hope in 2019 ekta has the guts to show.

- and finally the most controversial. I don’t think Veena Ma is being inconsistent in asking prerna to leave be wedding. In English there is a saying the hair that broke the camels back. Maybe there is a similar one in Hindi. This is intended to say that it is often not the heavy load that breaks a camel but after years of carrying a heavy load, a hair can break it.

Very often I have observed in real life that people are willing to give chance after chance and then suddenly they break.

Veena was initially against the anurag-prerna relationship but the two of them convinced her. Once she gave her support, veena supported prerna when she went to Basu house to fight for her rights. Knowing that her broken daughter would either win or get closure out of it. She made her displeasure towards anurag clear during holi etc. But the lack of respect shown towards the Sharmas even after prerna realised the Basus from komo is probably what has been the hair that broke her back and made her ask prerna to leave the marriage. Should she have intervened before and told prerna after prerna was put in jail to leave and come back home? Yes! She should have. But she didn’t maybe because when you are in a moment you lose perspective on how bad things have gotten. That doesn’t preclude her realising omg Mohini is never ever going to change. It doesn’t matter what my daughter does or we do or how much her Ian loves prerna, things will never change!

I don’t know where this story is going and whether I will find veena unreasonable soon. But today, right now, I don’t.

Emotions portrayed were realistic while the situations seemed too far fetched. There are many patronizing people like Bajaj in the business world.

I would have done exactly the same thing as Veena Ma.

They say when two people get married, its not just their union but it’s two families as well..

Veena Ma knows Mohini doesnt like the Sharma and she will never like them.. Being in joint family, this truly matters. I wouldnt want my daughter to go through the same humiliations over and over again. They will be living under the same roof and its not that they will only meet during festivals or on sundays for roast dinner..

It will be impossible for any man like AB to balance thing out with his mother and his wife... Esp when all he does is look for temporary solution and not nip it from the bud..

Lets see how the story unfold..

Started watching kasauti for ksg recently.

Todays episode was good, even though ksg was hardly shown.

Prerna’s sis in law andher mother is right, respect for inlaws is missing in this relationship. Mohini will never change, only way that anu prerna can be happy is if they decide to,live separately. Mohini is an overpossesive mom,this problem is faced in many households.

Anu has a dad , his mom does not need him, why do they show rich families all living together? So not nowdays generation. Ekta is stuck in the 80s and 90s, nowdays mom in laws are more of friends with daughter in law.

Think prerna and her family will get support from bajaj, maybe veena will be pro bajaj after this .

I won’t mind a mutual separation of AnuPre here .... this will be any day better and more realistic than the shitty sacrifice....

But I seriously have problem with inconsistency in Veenama character, would have cheered for Veenama today had she not given Prerna gyaan on fighting for her own rights as Anurag is Prerna’s husband , we were saying back then too Veena should take Pre back to SN but Veenama was being hooted as an encouraging n motivating mother back then ..... .....

plus aren’t AnuPre already married?? 2 days back Anurag himself said Main tumhara Pati hoon .... so how come Veenama saying don’t go ahead wit the marriage....

I’ll be fine if Pre divorces Anurag and both gets separated.

This mohini is pure evil, does not love her son, otherwise she would not put her son under so much stress and grief. Selfish mother. Anu should have realised by now how scheming his mom is.

Prerna is undergoing emotional abuse,which many of us have gone through at the hands of inlaws

Even i wud never want my daughter to marry in such a family ..these humiliations will be constant as mohini only cares for the social status and her pride ..its a joke that veena realized this NOW..

I said this during kuch rang also and saying it now also. Mammas boys should be barred from falling in love and getting married . Like dev like anurag . When push comes to shove he chickens out everytime, leaving prerna to deal with every problem alone ..and will he be there for her everytime something goes wrong ? Like will he take sanyas from the office to stop this family politics happening in his house ? This time also its him who should have taken a stand for his in laws ,his to be or already or may be, wife, prerna..but we have already seen prerna "exposing" mohini..so what will it be ? Blackmail her with the cd to bail out veena ? Seriously ! Show the cd to the goddam son.

Veena encouraged and stood by Prerna to fight and claim her love all alone even when her daughter was badly humiliated and sent to jail, when Anurag wasn't even supporting her

Here, she has the full support of Anurag who wouldn't have an ounce of doubt on her, and everyone else apart from Mohini in BB supports her as of now for that matter!

Given that this is just a social marriage of anupre for the world and given that they are already married, veena asking pre to stop going ahead with the wedding is an emotional statement in a fit of moment.

Rather she should ask Prerna to stop these wedding and activities and sort out things, make Mohini accept and apologize to her or talk it out to Anurag and eventually come up with a decision. That would the consistency with her character

Frankly, the writers themselves are too such about anupre being married / not married for the upcoming track in the midst of all these social marriage drama!

There is huge diff between Dev and Anurag ....😆

This is a remarriage......either go ahead and get them married or get a divorce or get mutually separated.
