Erica's father didn't suffer from an injury, he suffered from 3 heart attacks and if im not mistaken also a stroke which left him disabled and unable to work. Erica learnt to take care of the home n do housework at a very young age since her mother had to go out n work to support her family. And she started modelling at the age of 16 because of financial problems. This girl is the definition of strength, determination and a never say die attitude.
All girls should take inspiration from her on how to never give up and rise above your hardships.
Regarding Prerna's character, its the polar opposite of Erica excpet maybe for the fact that she is caring. I am extremely disappointed and if i have understood Erica correctly she too may have not anticipated her character to be this weak when she signed the show. She's just reduced to a prop in the show with which Naveen n Anu dance and fight for. The IV that she gave in Bombay Times was before the show went on air. She's receiving a lot of flak for backing Prerna's character in that. For me personally, id rather she leaves the show if her character does not improve.

Will it? For me this is nkt even just about Erica. It's also about Prerna. I was watching about the episodes again last night. I think it was around episode 20 that it went from giving equal importance to the sharmas and the basus- to focusing so much on the basus and Anurag.

In the first few episodes prerna was shown as an equal to Anurag - protecting the Durga idol from the post, helping Anurag with the tent rope and the Durga idol... to this non-existent role. I am beginning to wonder if what we see now was the original script and the writers have changed the tactics.

THe basus are played by a bunch of great actors who also seem really sweet in real life and are very active on social media. The Sharmas onthe other hand are equally talented by a quieter lot.

Parth, a hugely popular and talented actor, left Indian TV in a wave of controversy and was absent for years. This fans have rightly gone wild with the role of Anurag. Erica's fans have on the other hand shown disappointment to see her in this sort of traditional role. And while one has been getting bouquets while the other brick bats.

Indian TV unlike movies does not have fixed script and things change based on audience reaction. And I wonder if rather than things improving they will only get worse.
