I know yaar usually people start to get a big ego once they make a name (Pulkit Samrat's incident comes to mind) but he is soo grounded and down to earth, he doesnt talk with a attitude and says what he thinks

I just read the article and I loved the way he answered the question and yes he is very grounded guy.. hehe, 😉

Julu BT is like more interested in uniting couples which ppl are not interested abt 😆 😆 Otherwise Heaven mein hi sahi, AP and PD wont be shown couple at the end epi 😆 😆 BT are like tht only 😉 ....But it feels good for a LONG period, we got our respective HAWTTEST jodi together to run the show 😳 PM are as special as PRB 😳 So it's good that these 2 couples are at one side when the other two couples are in the opp. side 😆 😆

i didnt even realise they were on SBS promoting it? du u remember the date that it happened

^^ i know yaar for us i always thought prem died when mukti died and that sunset scene which he dreamt was the ending

After Rajeev Khandelwal and Prachi Desai, another popular television face Manoj Bohra, rechristened Karnvir Bohra, is making his debut in Bollywood in the much-awaited Kismet Konnection. Bohra who became famous as Prem in Kasautii Zindagi Kay has had a long stint on the small screen—Kkusum and Shararat. But now it's time for the big one.

"I play Shahid Kapur's nemesis in the movie," he states, adding, "I play the character of Dev who can stoop to any level to reach the top and doesn't hesitate from employing shady means." The story revolves around Shahid and him and they are both vying for the same project. "Shahid has his lucky charm, Vidya Balan, in his life. Hence, he succeeds in everything he does."

Bohra, who has most of his scenes with Shahid and Om Puri, was happy to have Vidya around. "I have known Vidya since my initial days in television when we went for auditions together," he smiles. About Shahid he says, "I was intimidated by him when I first met him, but he was very courteous. We became good friends by the time we finished the movie."

The movie has been a learning experience for him, more so because he got to work with stalwarts like Om Puri and Aziz Mirza. "Omji is an institution and Aziz uncle a Santa Claus-sweet and warm. It was a fabulous experience and I had a comfortable time on the sets," he says.

Besides Kismet, he will be doing two more films. "I'm yet to sign them and I will talk about them once I have done that." For the moment, let's talk about his new reality show Kabhie Yaar, Kabhie Pyaar where he will be seen along with wife Teejay Sidhu and his co-star in Kasautii Tina Parikh. "I agreed to be a part of this show mainly because I wanted to be seen with my wife on screen," he chuckles.

But it isn't goodbye to television as yet. "Simply because I have got the taste of pasta and pizza, I am not going to stop having dal chawal," is his candid reply. So is the name-change a part of it? "No, Karnvir is my birth name. It was changed to Manoj by my grandfather when Manoj Kumar's Kranti was released. Now I am back to being Karnvir," he explains. "I think this is the right time to go back to my original name."

Three TV stars set to test their Kismat

Kismat Konnection is set to test the kismat of all actors including Shahid Kapoor - Vidya Balan. In this film there will be three tele stars whose acting will be tested.

Amit Verma (he was seen in Hotel Kingston and Khichadi), Karnveer Bohra (who became famous as Prem from Kasauti Zindagi Kay) and Vishal Malhotra (who was an anchor during the IPL matches).

We spoke to all three about their role


Karnvir Bohra plays Dev in Kismet Konnection. His role has grey shades as he plays an office competitor to Shahid. This is Karnvir's first film and he considers it a big opening for him for in Bollywood. He messes the office life of Shahid and tries to take all his architectural projects in his hands. Says Kanvir, "It's my first film and a big break in Bollywood and it was a great pleasure working with such talented people like Aziz Mirza and Shahid Kapoor. In this film I'm going take away all of Shahid's projects. It was great fun working with him. I'm glad that my kismat gets connected with this film."

Cast opposite Shahid Kapoor, Karnvir says of his role, "I'm a go-getter in the movie. Initailly, Shahid's character always comes first and my character (Dev) comes second. But later on, my affluent family background serves to my advantage in a project based competition. But Shahid's kismat changes because Vidya (his lucky charm) is with him, and he bags this project."

However, whether it's about coming first or second, Karnvir is completely satisfied with the way his role has been portrayed in the movie and he takes immense pride in the fact that the movie has been directed by someone as prolific as Aziz Mirza.

"Aziz uncle is a darling and I'm honoured to work in his film," says the charismatic actor for whom it's a dream come true. But was it the same experience that he had while shooting for a television serial? "No. When we act for a show on the television, we get so mechanical.

This is not the case when we do movies. There was a shot with Boman Irani when Aziz uncle and Haroon, his son, guided me and told me not to limit myself to a certain style of acting," recollects the actor who has dabbled in theatre before getting into soaps.

Like any other actor, he also had a few butterflies in his stomach when he gave his first shot for the movie. "My first shot was with Om Puri and I had a lot of pressure to perform well. But in my mind, I kept thinking that I might make a mistake. Luckily, the shot was okayed at the first take itself," said a relieved Karnvir.
