Getaway island

Tina Parakh and hubby Vikram HaZra had a great holiday in the Andamans

I holidayed in…

Andaman Islands. In India, it's the best place to be because it has the most beautiful beaches, lovely forests with huge mangroves and breathtakingly wondeful coral islands. I had gone there for my honeymoon too. My husband (Vikram Hazra) and I plan to visit it again soon.

I stayed at…

Barefoot Resort. It's a lovely resort close to the beach. The lovely cottages there are fun to stay in.

I dined at…

Both Vikram and me are big foodies. So we gorged on everything from Japanese to Chinese, pastas and North Indian food too. There is no local delicacy as such because they cater mainly to the tourists. But yes, the sea-food is worth trying.

The place rocked…

The beaches are beautiful and deserted, which makes you feel that it's your own private beach. We enjoyed water sports like snorkeling and yachting. On our next trip, we plan to learn scuba-diving from a professional instructor.

It's also wonderful to simply sit and watch the sunset as also the early sunrise. And of course, you can just chill by the beach and get completely tanned.
