Gas with no smell

I wonder how come gas with no smell. Even in normal homes when gas is leaking - Anyone can smell it very well from a distance. And these soaps shows such a stupidity that P2 cann't smell gas odor.

Even kids can smell and find that there is some problem with the gas cylinder.

but even gasses in oder countries smell too... They put a compound tat smells along wid methane and oder carbon compounds so as to detect any kind of gass leakage..😳
