Catastrophe on the sets of Kasautii

A couple of weeks ago, when a unit of Balaji Telefilms headed for Kolkata to shoot for the soap Kasautii Zindagii Kay, producer Ekta Kapoor had been bubbling with excitement.

On the cards were plans to shoot crucial scenes — Prerna (Shweta Tiwari) meeting with an accident resulting in amnesia; Prerna and Bajaj (Ronit Roy) sailing on the serene waters of Ganges; a dhunuchi dance in Dakhineshwar temple; shots of Howrah bridge. A ten-day work-filled schedule was on the agenda.

But from what we hear, only half of what was originally planned, could be shot after withstanding disruptions in the schedule. A source from Balaji, who didn't wish to be named confirmed, "Yes, half of the shooting in Kolkata was left undone, and it will now have to be shot in Mumbai."

We talked to the Kahani ki Rani, Ekta Kapoor, who admitted, "Yes, there were lots of disruptions on the Kolkata outdoor. These occurred because the time schedule of the actors couldn't be managed properly. This is always a problem in Kasautii Zindagii Kay.

The setback began with the principal star of Kasautii fell ill. Two days of shooting had to be postponed because Cezanne was held up in Mumbai with a bout of food poisoning.

Ronit made things worse by behaving like a star to the hilt.

He created an ego issue about arriving on the sets before Shweta and Cezanne. He would not step out of his make-up room till he made sure that his other two co-stars — Cezanne Khan and Shweta Tiwari — were ready.

She sat and twiddled her thumbs when Cezanne was recuperating in Mumbai. But when he landed in Kolkata, she only shot for a day. Our source added, "We could only shoot for a day.

We could only take a couple of long shots of the Howrah Bridge and a few shots of Dakhineshwar temple. More than Cezanne, it were the other cast members who created a bigger problem," he said hinting at the other two protagonists.

"The next few weeks," says Ekta Kapoor, "will have interesting twists and stings in the tale, as Prerna will try to kill Bajaj. How she executes it will be a big surprise."

Poor Ronit is nowhere to blamed yaar. Cmon! He has to shoot for three dailies with none of the producers ready to releive him off the contract he has signed. Am completely with you, Ronit. Why the hell would he want to waste one full day at the expense of not being able to spend time with his family, esp his new-born Aador!!
Love u totally Ronit..more than anyone,it's the schedulers and the EP of the show who are to blame for mis-managing the stars' schedules and dates.
And I dont see why a star not coming out of his make-up room has to be interpreted as an ego issue. We all know how humble and well-grounded Ronit is abt his status....so why crib???

what the hell?????????????????????? stupid serial...well now i said it at last...ever since bajaj was given the raw treatment where his characterisation post leap is concerned...every now n then the balaji people played mind games with us ronit roy fans....now this thing abt prerna trying to kill bajaj is concerned..takes the cake...god save her the day she comes back from her sleep where she is today......

i don;t think so....read what ekta has writen that prerna will try to kill bajaj
