He trusted her, but not blindly accepted anything or everything she said. There are differences between the two. In the Sharad case, in Anurag's eyes, Prerna was grossly mistaken. And considering Prerna has an irritating habit of thrusting her views down people's throats instead of looking at how other people would take what she says, or their viewpoints, I think he had good reason.
