It's time again… to sit up and watch out for the fate of your favourite characters in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. This time around, after an entire whirlwind of twists and turns in their lives, Prerna and Anurag will finally be seen together - as a couple. But this only because of yet another dramatic twist which will change Bajaj and Prerna's life forever. The actors spoke to us before the big twist. Here's what they say:

"This twist will increase curiosity among viewers about the characters and how their life will now move ahead. What is interesting and important is what Ekta (Kapoor) will do to Mr. Bajaj once he goes into coma; and more importantly, when he comes out of it. As an actor, I am looking forward to this twist, as it will give me a new dimension to explore as an actor. As for all my fans, this twist does not mean my exit from the show! All is well and good and Mr. Bajaj will not undergo a plastic surgery and change faces!

"Prerna will come back to Anurag because of partial amnesia and not out of will. Therefore, Anurag will take care of her and will support her through her trauma. Prerna is Anurag's true love, but don't expect to see too many fireworks between them. After all, they are parents of grown up kids and are now mature adults. Yes, old feelings that may have been bundled up may be revisited."

Kasautii Mein Twist: Are Anurag and Prerna back together?

Over the last few years, regular viewers of Kasautii Zindagii Ke have been treated to a fair dose of twists and turns in the show's gripping plot. Here's a roundup of the five biggest twists on the show so far:

5. Anurag and Prerna have a son named Prem. In an unfortunate turn of events, Prem is kidnapped and killed. Prerna and Anurag play the blame game, with Anurag holding Prerna responsible for Prem's death. During this period, Mr. Bajaj gives Prerna the emotional support that Anurag doesn't. The schism between Anurag and Prerna widens and Anurag marries a woman named Aparna.

As a reason, the relationship between the major characters on the show changed completely at this point. And it was here that the show took the seven-year leap.

4. After things don't work out with Prerna, Anurag Basu marries Aparna. Things are normal… or are they? It was here that the story took a twist that made viewers jump out of their seat. In a stunning turn of events, Aparna has an affair and murders Anurag in cold blood. The twist was compounded by the mysterious return of Anurag later!

3. Prerna has another son named Prem. The show leapt forward by 20 years at this stage and we found ourselves amidst yet another intriguing scenario: Prerna and Mr. Bajaj get married and have a daughter named Kasak. Anurag, on the other hand, is on his own with only his son Shravan for solace. He leaves the country to build himself a new life, taking Shravan with him. Shravan, however, decides to come back to India. Interestingly, this turn of events set the stage for another twist; with Shravan's return to India, a storm was brewing.

2. Shravan comes back to India and falls in love with Kasak, who is Mr. Bajaj and Prerna's daughter. However, due to their troubled history, both sets of parents veto the relationship and refuse to give it their blessing. Adding more trouble to the brew is Komolika, who comes back to wreak havoc on the two families. She poisons Shravan's ears against Kasak and manipulates him into marrying Tanisha, who has been obsessed with him for a while. Kasak is heartbroken and despondent. However, that isn't all; she is also pregnant with Shravan's baby.

1. This is the twist that could change things forever. Prerna and Mr. Bajaj meet with an accident, that too with Anurag's car. Mr. Bajaj slips into a coma and Prerna gets partial amnesia and still thinks she is married to Anurag. What happens next? Uh uh, that would be cheating.
