Death scene recreated
Prem is sitting on a bench at the accident place, staring into space. Prerna, Anaita, Omi, Sneha and Mahesh and the docs are watching from a distance. A guy in a hood ("Prem") comes and sits down on a bench opposite Prem and starts plucking the petals of a rose, saying "She loves me, she loves me not" like our Prem did. The original scenes flashback. Devki comes out in her bridal finery, runs towards "Prem", flashbacking back to M running towards P. Basically, everything happens the way it did on that day - "Prem" picks "Mukti" up, carries her to thecar, places her in, goes over to the other side, sees the truck (hired by the Scooby Gang), tries to get "Mukti" out, and the truck crashes into the car and Mukti falls out. (D falls out onto some mats, so she is not hurt).
But, nothing happens. There is no reaction from Prem Everyone is dejected. Omi/Anaita make false tasalees...
Rishu, hiding behind a tree, curses God, saying that is it necessary to make Prerna suffer her entire life? A real truck (hired by OY and A, presumably) makes its way towards D, who is standing in the middle of the road. Rishu sees this. So do OA, and so they make excuses that they should all now leave. Now, we see scenes of Siddhivinayak Mandir, the Ganesh Aarti (from the movie Vaastav) play in the background, as Rish runs towards D and the oncoming truck. Everyone sees him running, then Mahesh sees a guy jump out of the truck (he was at the wheel ) Mahesh runs after him, everyone else is running towards the scene.
D sees the truck and tries to get Prem out of the way. Her dupatta gets stuck on the bench - she tries to take it out and the truck is getting closer. Rishu comes and pushes both Prem and D out of the way - himself falling and hitting a tree. Prerna screams "MR. BAJAJ!!!!" (lol, I can't tell you how funny this sounded - even in moments of crises, the "MR." part stays )
D's dupatta gets caught to the truck (don't ask how) and she is dragged along on the floor for a bit, eventually landing in the same position as Mukti at the time of the accident. Prem is lying on the floor, and through the corner of his eyes, sees this. He flashbacks to all the PM moments, incl the death scene, and suddenly, the pieces fit. His eyes move, then his fingers, then he downright SITS UP and screams "MUKTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII" Oh my poor baby..............
Everyone who is still runnin comes to a standstill. Prerna is in shock - she stares at Prem, who runs up to Mukti (having difficulty running, no surprises there) and tries to wake her. Tears streaming down his face, he looks up at Prerna and says, "Maa"
Time stands still. Prerna looks at her son, cries profusely and remembers their moments together. She slowly walks up to PM, and kneels. Prem babbles "Ma. Look at how much blood there is....she'll be ok, na Ma?" (Not exact words) Conveniently, D's face is covered in blood in the exact place where the scar is so he can't see it (but it was practically non-existent today anyway!!). Suddenly, the guy who until yesterday needed help in his every movement, gets up and carries Mukti in his arms, taking her to the nearest hospital, passing OA and the docs. Lol, poor guy, when he gets out of this shock, he'll probably wonder who these random people are who are following him around OA share an exasperated glance
Prerna turns around to find Bajaj gone. Mahesh runs after the guy from the truck, but he disappears.
Reunion
Bajaj is about to leave when Prerna goes up to him. Sad songs play, while she asks him where he was going. Bajaj replies that he wanted to see her happy, now he is leaving.
P: What do you think? I would be able to feel this happiness without you?
RB: Dry your tears, P. I do not deserve them.
P: We both made a mistake. If you doubted me, then I also couldn't understand you. (FINALLY the woman gets it!! ) Please don't leave us.
RB: I do not deserve your forgiveness. I doubted you.
P: But behind this one mistake, you have many good qualities. I saw only your one mistake, not your every other sacrifice. I forgot your good qualities. I could not count your good qualities even if I tried. This family is incomplete without you. I am incomplete without you, my life is incomplete w/o you. Don't leave me.

Hospital

D is in the operation theatre. Prerna goes up to Prem, who is sitting and rocking back and forth. He looks at her and says "Ma" again. I swear, is it gonna be like this: everytime the boy says Ma, Prerna's hair starts flying due to some imaginary wind? No wonder he calls her Mother India....but you know, I can't believe that I just wrote "Prem says"....do you have ANY idea how long its been since that happened? Of course you do
Prem: "Ma, Mukti theek ho jayegi na?"
MI: Yes. She will get better.
Prem: I thought for a minute that I had lost her. I can't live w/o her I hurt you all too much - looks like this is my punishment.
MI: NO, when parents have forgiven you, God must forgive you too"
She thinks to herself "How will I tell him that this is not M?"
The operation is over, and docs say that M/D is fine now....
Docs call PRB and the rest of the bharaat in. OK, why would they leave Prem out there? WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU TAKE THE BANDHAR BRIGADE INSIDE TO A FAMILY MEETING?
Docs: We can't tell Prem the truth, otherwise he will go back into shock again or even die. D will have to pretend to be M for a while.
RB says that after all this we have got OUR son back, so we have to lie for him. Prerna trusts his decision, and agrees.
A says that Prem should NOT find out the truth. She shares a smirk with O
End.
