Mumbai, Oct 18 (IANS) Actor Rohit Roy, who is known as the small screen's angry young man, is keen that serial makers cast him with his wife Manasi.

Rohit Roy, who is nowadays seen in Ravi Chopra's "Viraasat" on STAR Plus, says his character in the serial is a blend of Aamir Khan in "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak" and Akshaye Khanna in "Taal".

"It's a character that believes in love. Though again I'm volatile, it isn't an in-your-face aggressive character. I get to co-star with Sangeeta Ghosh. But I wish someone would cast me with my wife Manasi," Rohit told IANS.

He cheers up considerably while talking about her.

"Our friends say we share an iconic marriage. Now I know what they mean. I'm married to the most amazing woman I've ever met. And I know there are a lot of temptations in the TV industry. But trust me, I'm never ever tempted to bite the forbidden apple. The risk is just not worth taking... not when I've the most perfect family life."

Rohit says there are temptations galore.

"But where's the time to even think of any diversion? I work like a horse, head to the gym and then head home to be with my wife and daughter. Seriously, I don't know how my colleagues find the time to do two dailies at a time.

"I was glad to see 'Sarrkar' out of the way before 'Viraasat' came in. It's more than enough work for me. I don't understand how my brother Ronit does so much work. It's crazy. But I don't try to stop him. He's gone through a seven-year period of exile when he had no work. I understand how much the workload means to him."

He regrets the end of his daily "Sarrkar".

"Anyway I enjoyed playing a character that was inspired by Sanjay Gandhi. But if you ask me it could be the story of any political dynasty.

"I really enjoyed playing this character. But now I'm already well into my new daily 'Viraasat' which gives me a chance to play another character altogether."

Ronit and elder brother Rohit are the only two successful siblings working together on television.

"Yes, I'm not aware of any other pair of successful siblings on TV. I remember an astrologer had said both of us cannot be equally successful in the same profession. I'm glad we didn't listen to him. I don't believe in astrology. I believe in destiny. And I believe one can be the architect of one's own destiny."

He enjoys the good things of life.

"Sure I like my cars. I've three. And I've earned them. I do charge a decent amount. But I'm still underpaid. And my price varies according to what the producer can afford. I cut down on my price for Manish Goswami since he was going into a new area in 'Sarrkar'."

Volatile by nature, Rohit says he has mellowed after marriage.

"But my two most successful roles on TV 'Swabhimaan' and Sarrkar' had me playing angry characters. That image will change with 'Viraasat'. I must tell you Shobhaa De, who wrote 'Swabhimaan' and 'Sarrkar', considers me her lucky mascot and I consider her mine. Funnily she had rejected me for 'Swabhimaan'.

"Those days I went around with ear rings, long hair trying to look like a punk. It was Mahesh Bhatt who insisted on me. Thank god for that. Otherwise, I wonder where I'd have been!"

Even i'm confused abt PRB...i hate prerna for hurtin bajaj all the time but still wen i see then together i want them to reunite...i think its coz they keep showin prerna really yearning for bajaj n wantin him to return...n even though i know tht she's a total pendulum n it isnt long b4 she'll harp another tune i hope n pray for bajaj's sake tht she really loves him n wants him...coz no matter wat prerna feels bajaj will ALWAYS love her FROM THE BOTTOM OF HIS HEART FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE...n he'll be happy only if she's with him...so for his sake i want them to reunite...BUT with prerna there's always the chance(actually its a certainity) tht she'll keep goin to AB n hurt Bajaj's feelings😡

AB is amazingly careless abt his pronouns!!! he's always sayin "hamara" n referrin to prerna n himself!!! he just cant get over the fact tht she's not his nemore...n i hate the way he treats sam...instead of tryin to convince her tht he doesnt love prerna(which is untrue neway...he loves prerna n hasnt he said tht to sam once??? y the heck is she still with him then?? she's another loser...y would u wanna stay with a person who doesnt care a damn abt u??

just for "prem's company" he takes back the case against a fellow who nearly killed his wife!!!! if it had been prerna he would have said "company jaane do bhaad mein...mein "meri" prerna ke saath accident karne wale ko nahin chodunga" n now also he fights with yuvraj only coz he said sumthin abt prerna....WAT ABT THE FACT THT HE NEARLY KILLED SAM!!!!!

ohk i know we're not supp to talk abt anu here...but i had to get this outta my system...watchin krapzk is a torture! i have to mute it wenever i see him on screen coz wateva he says makes my blood boil!

Hey I agree with you galzu.but before starting my post-just want to wish everyone a crackling and dazzling diwali..may all of you jave a really great time!:)

And now,coming back to rishabh,ny heart just melted when I saw him turn,face the biggest truth of his life and ask her how she was.for me that really summed up everything about him.He is letting go now..he couldn't bear hiding from her any longer and I am dying to watch it on monday where I hope he tells her that he cannot come back to her life and that their paths are different now..can't wait at all!!

And yeahhhhh I totally agree about that pronoun wala thing associated with anurag, it is just so corny. God knows why he can't talk straight..lol!

Conveniently everyone including prerna has forgotten that btn is rishabh's company!seriously lame!
