I agree with U Jessie that we should be responsible for our own actions whether good or bad. Kasak and Shravan should have been careful. You live in Canada and have a different perspective,. I have encountered girls here as well who find themselves in similar predicament, coz I have been a hosteler all through my life, I have been witness to few incidents, and I can say in general girls take the clinical route.

It is difficult to fend for Ur self and the society we live in is very harsh, many take lessons from their mistakes, others look for anchors a solid male to help them cope with the incident. Many are absued later in life as emotionally they will always look for anchors, your growth as an individual stops.

Talking about Kasak, the dialogues she delivers leaves one with shock and disbelief, for a girl so young to have attachment with an unborn child is rather hard to digest. In situation like these, your first reaction should be towards urself, How am I going to face it? Where are am I heading? MY studies my career nothing is in focus for her. I think love is blind that is what EkTA wants to show. LIke her mother she will look for a male to protect her rather than concentrating on building her life that is solely directed towards her own search for identity, she will pick a career or a job to pass time and gain prominence coz the boss likes her.

Real world outside is much different, critics say BALaji soaps take inspiration from the 60s, they may be right, coz the characters despite being ultra modern in physical appearence think like the heros and heroines of years gone by.

Yeah I completely agree with Signora2 (wow gr8 ! We rarely agree! but this time I loved whatever she wrote- perfect analysis).

I would also like the add that morally, ethically and legally, the mother's right comes before the unborn child's right so the mother has right to decide whether to keep or abort. It is cruel and inhuman to force her to keep the child when she wants to abort and vice-versa.

I also agree with signora...yipeeee, finally we agreed on something...

But I feel that kasak should abort the child. In years to come, kasak will eventually get married and it is not necesary that her husband will accept her child as well as bajaj accepted sneha or as anurag accepted shravan or vineet accepted tanisha....long list naa😆 And if she brings up the child on her own then when the kid grows up he'll face problems...he'll ask the same question that sneha used to ask her mom 'mere papa kaun hai'. And one more reason...why should kasak's parents suffer for the mistake she commited. In indian soc, even the parents are blamed and maligned in case their daugter is an unwed mother.

True that kasak should not be the only one suffering...shravan is equally responsible...but girls know that they are more susceptible in such cases while boys can go scottfree, so I believe the onus is on girls to know where to draw a line in their romance.

Abortion is such a complex issue...and there are no absolute answers, we can't constrain life intonarrow frames of thought, right or wrong.

All I say, is whatever the woman's choice, its best not to judge her.

I just however, wanted to make a clarification...its my friends who've had abortions...I've not even done anything with a guy! I'm not interested in men (or women), though I would be if he was made out of chocolate...mmm...dreaming again. Imagine if a guy is made out of chocolate, then his shit is going to be caramel chocolate......yummy!!!

While I agree with Jessie's opinions, I don't think Kasak has any choice. Whether she aborts the child or not will be decided by Ektaa's unimaginative mind.

hey,

i'm not going to judge anyone who has an abortion, tons of my friends have had them, but this is my take...and i don't force it on anyone.

But if you make that decision to sleep with someone, then you have to live with the consequences, only in extreme cases like when you are raped, is it somewhat an "Excuse" to abort a child.

Its Kasak and her man's fault that she is prergnant...and if Shravan isn't man enough to do something about it, then shame on him!

I'd be proud of Kasak if she raised the child, it shows she can live with her actions, and that she holds someone else's views higher than society's (God).

Who asks the poor child, in that womb, if he or she has or not the right to be in this world, why should it be only the mother who suffers...i wish just for once, Men were making babies...I'd like to see them then, and did you know over 77% of men are against abortions..i know its a stat and you have to approach it carefully, but it was taken in Canada.

I think either way, I would respect Kasak's choice, but I just sometimes, don't understand why girls put themselved in such situations...I mean we should learn to love with the heart, but follow the mind when the heart loses its ways.

So, I don't know...if Kasak had an abortion ppl would have an uproar, it seems like indian society like to see the girl keep her child...as in a way to punish her...if you don't think there is some propaganda in an indirect and subtle way in these dramas that are pushing such ideas you are naive...though they are subtler, never be mistaken, they are just as harsh in their outcomes.

When you watch these shows, try to see what the ideals and traditions are being projected, even though you agree with them, its always important to question them if only to know why we believe in what we do in the first place, we should all be public intellectuals.

i'm not saying this only happens in indian shows, it happens in all of them around the world

but yeah the question was about abortion...i've never been in such a position, though i have a right to judgment i don't think my judgment is of any real skeptical analytical thought.

Jessie, damn right and nice post 😉
