Moonmoon, who features as Sampada in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, has earlier worked with Nausheen in Kkusum. Mukul featured opposite Nausheen in KaalChakra. So, the birthday girl had invited them both to join in the celebrations.
Cosy twosome
Onlookers were zapped to see Moonmoon and Mukul cosying up and behaving 'lovey-dovey' till the party's end early in the morning. The ambience of the place — a seaside Versova bungalow — only added to those special sparks between them.
Though everyone was in high spirits and making merry on the dance floor, Mukul and Moonmoon's closeness could not have escaped anyone's attention. Onlookers say that both were dancing and cootchie-cooing at the same time. Says the onlooker, "Moonmoon did appear to be a tad concerned about the others watching them."
Seaside rendezvous
It is reliably learnt that for a while Mukul and Moomoon disappeared from the party area towards the seafront. They spent some moments there. Adds the onlooker, "Nausheen walked into that area by chance and was shocked to see both of them there. She came back and told her good friend, Ekta Sharma, about it."
A bit conscious after that, both sat separately for a while. "They then took to the dance floor again and were in each other's arms. It looked as if they were not bothered about who was watching. Later, both made themselves comfortable on a sofa. They behaved just like lovers!"
Says the onlooker, "Realising that it was a public place, a friend of theirs went up to them to stop them and told Moonmoon to go home."Incidentally, Moonmoon was previously married to director Gautam Joglekar, who is filmmaker Sai Paranjpye's son. Gautam had directed the Marathi film Pak Pak Pakaak with Nana Patekar. Mukul, too, is separated from his wife and has a daughter.
Says Moonmoon, "I knew this was coming! I've known Mukul since the days we worked together in the Zee show, Ek Tukda Chand Ka. Since then, I've been bumping into him at parties. I have never met him alone and there is nothing on between us. I don't know what others felt looking at us at Nausheen's party. I don't know what it means to be comfortable with someone. I am single and I was enjoying myself at the party."
Adds Mukul, "There was no such comfort level. I know Moonmoon as I know several other people at the party. Who are these onlookers telling you all this? I don't think you should get into this."
So was it just a one-night fancy or is romance brewing? Time will tell.
