Well, the good news is, there were some scorching PM scenes. The bad news is that instead of Prem feeling jealous, once agin it is poor Mukti bearing the brunt of their so-called relationship.
First, though, the crappy scenes...
Tushar comes home upset and storms up to his room. Prerna sees this and cries on his behalf. Doris follows him up...Prerna too goes, where she sees Tushar "crying" on Doris's shoulder...that was a weird style of crying but else else to expect from Wooden Man? In fact, the way he cried made me laugh...but let's not get into that.
Prerna rings Mahesh who tells her everything that happened in the office...by the way, I thought Mahesh was a lawyer? So what is he doing sitting in board meetings?? Just coz he's the Boss's brother, tut tut...
AB and Sam
Anu is in his room pacing after the horrible (not really) put-down by Rishu. Sam comes in and says that she has to say something to him...She tells him that she knows that he and Prerna share a special bond, after all they are good friends, but he must realise that Prerna has her own family, and friendship has a limit after marriage. She says that she thinks it is wrong for Anu to get involved in Prerna's family matters. FINALLY! Someone else thinks the same...that's what I've been saying all along!
She says that Prerna has many problems, but that doesn't mean that he should forget his own family and his own life and spend all his time acting as Prerna's saviour (well, she didn't say that exactly, but you get the drift!). She says that only the person who is the soulmate, the "humsafar" can give support at every moment and every time, which in Prerna's life is Mr. Bajaj. seems like our Sam is just angling for some support too, Onu-baba...
Anurag says that he knows all this, but he has no answer for her questions. There are some things in life that have no bearing upon relations but with emotions. There are some things that are done with the heart, not the mind. And he says that what he did was due to his emotions, not his mind. Seems like a cheater's way of wanting to stay in Prerna's life. I don't buy that excuse for a minute
Sam asks him what about her emotions? Do they mean nothing? If someone says something mean to him, can she be expected to bear it? Why is it that everytime people say mean things to him and he just takes it all in? Why does he never say anything? She knows that his intentions are pure, but others do not see that, they think he is interfering...well, that's because he is, Sam dearest. She says that people often think with their brains not their hearts. Today it was Mr. Bajaj, tomorrow it will be someone else, then what? She leaves.
Bajaj's office
Rishu is pondering life's troubles when in comes his ardhangani Prerna, in a beautiful black saree...so she had time to change before she came? Wanted to make a good impression during the fight that will follow?
She says that he was right: he only does what he wants to do. He asks her to explain and she says she wanted to see the face of that father who has a resignation letter from his son on his desk. Especially at the time the father is upset with his son. Rishu bursts and tells her to stop: he is as upset about Tushar leaving as she is. She says that he has forced Tushar to leave the company, he tells her that it is wrong.
They fight about professional and personal lives and how Rishu is being adamant in mixing the two. He says that there have been many occassions previously upon which he has shouted at Tushar with regards to work, even with Sneha, but then no one had complained. He says that he has never put his personal matters into the company's decisions. He says that the difference now is not with him but with Tushar, who has gotten "abhimaan" in him and that is why he is revolting and doing silly things.
Prerna says that whenever a father-son fight, the woman in their lives will always lose; the woman who is the mother and the wife. If she had to choose between her husband and her son, who will she choose? She tells him that she wants her family's happiness, that is all. She can't see him unhappy, nor Tushar nor Doris. She asks him to forget everything that happened in the past and to forgive Tushar before things get out of hand. She leaves.
Prem is shown in a club, dancing and having a good time, Prerna is at home, Bajju in the office considering the situation and crying over spilt milk. Both remember their recent troubles. Doris cries, Tushar cries, everyone cries, boo hoo .
PM Scene-MUST WATCH!
Prem is dancing in the club when in walk Mukti and Debo. He is surprised to see Mukti there and tells her that they will talk about office stuff in the office...hmmm, so I'm guessing you want to talk to her about something else, Prem?
Mukti tells him that she finds no pleasure in talking to him outside of work anyway ( ) but she wants to give him back the museebat that he left to her--Issh. She says that she cannot train Debo any longer, it is not up to her level. Debo looks embarassed. She tells him to teach Debo the dance himself, she gives up. Suddenly, Debo disappears. The lights go off and when they come back on, Issh is on stage in a black leather ensemble, dancing to Aisa Jadoo Dala Re. She does her western dance and Prem gets increasingly happier, whilst Mukti is just shocked. Methinks this was all that Issh's chaal to put Mukti down in front of Prem...
Prem can't stop praisning Debo-ji, whilst Mukti just stands there, the poor girl having no clue as to what is happening. Prem tells Mukti that he smells something burning, and she becomes defensive: why should she be envious of someone? He asks her why she said that Debo couldn't dance, was it because of personal reasons? Noooo, its because, as you very well know, Debo is Miss Nautanki...
Issh puts on an innocent face and says that she danced very well in the rehearsal but Mukti liked none of the dances... You leave my Mukti alone, you, you, you homewrecker!
Mukti looks shocked and wonders what the hell this Debo is upto...Prem says that it is final that Debo will dance in the event. She tells him that she has a samosa...she can't dance in his event unless she gets Mohini Daadi's permission. Excuse me? Did you get Mohini's permission for this impromptu dance of yours? And didn't Mohini already give her permission?
Prem thinks to himself, what a nautanki this girl is...chalo, at least he knows the truth about her, that's one good thing...Prem tells Mukti to go and ask Mohini's permisson...why her? Why can't Issh ask herself? Lazybones...
Issh overrides this saying that Mukti won't be able to do anything... why you....
She says that Prem has to get the permission (I know why, because Mohini is on a mission to matchmake Prem and Issh and she is well aware of this)...after all he is her grandson. Mukti seconds this and walks off in anger...
Issh adds that anyway, she is only doing this dance and the one she just did for Prem, nobody else Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh. Poor Mukti hears this, stops and turns around to see a triumphant look on Prem's face....kyu nahin? After all, he has got the reaction he wanted, something is definitely burning now...Issh is happy.
Mukti walks along the streets, crying and lost in her sorrow, Kabhi Na Sukoon Aaya plays in the background, while she remembers everything. Poor girl, that song is apt for her...she hasn't had a moment's rest since the day she fell in love with that super-loser DUFFER.
Restaurant
Prerna, Rishu and Mahesh are at a restaurant discussing the household tensions. Boring scene, typical "we-must-save-our-house" stuff. Mahesh tells them that they both have to come to ONE joint decision and it must be taken soon.
Prerna asks him to reconsider everything..he says that he will try to be rational.
Final scenes
Someone calls at Bajaj House and Doris opens the door, it is a man. He says that he is Tushar's friend, she invites him inside. The guy is weird, he looks shifty to me....Doris goes to make coffee for him. Prem comes home and sees a shadow loitering around. He chases it, only to find that same guy, he grabs him and the come face to face...the end. For today.
That's all folks!
