Last seen shaking a leg with Shakti Anand in Nach Baliye, Sai Deodhar returns to television with two shows

After a six-month-long sabbatical, actress Sai Deodhar will now be seen in not one but two television shows. She was earlier seen in action serials like Saara Akash and CID. She was also seen in Nach Baliye after which she went on a sabbatical. Incidentally, Deodhar is known to be one of those actresses who work only on one serial at a time.
She says, "I took a deliberate break. I just wanted to take some time off from work. Then along came these two exciting offers in Kasautii Zindagi Kay and DON."
In DON, Deodhar will play the protagonist's (Parmeet Sethi) assistant who helps him solve the cases for him.
As for Kasautii…, it will be her first project with Balaji Telefilms. "This is the first time I play a negative character (Debonita) who will be paired opposite Prem (played by Manoj Bohra). Initially she comes across as a very coy girl. However soon she will show her true colours."
Deodhar adds, "I have always been seen in action roles. So, when I got this role, it took it up. I didn't want to miss out on the opportunity of playing a different role. And Debonita's character is a totally different from the ones I have played before. It feels so nice to do a different role for a change. It gives me the satisfaction of acting in serials of different genres."
What happened to her plans of making a documentary film? She replies, "It didn't work out. We had scripts ready; and we even managed to get producers. But there was some last minute problem so it didn't take off. But I have no regrets, there are bound to be impediments in whatever you do."
