Shweta Tiwari, or Prerna of Kasautii Zindagi Kay is more relieved now. She was tense two days ago when her father underwent an operation for blood clots in his brain. Tiwari recalls, "It all began with fever. Father had high fever and he underwent self-medication. After that, we found him going off to sleep for hours on end. For three days he slept for long, and wouldn't wake up. That's when we realised there was something wrong. We got his CT scan done and two blood clots were detected in his brain. One clot had been there for three and a half months."
"Then we admitted him to Lilavati hospital in Bandra. The doctor said they may not have been able to help us had we brought him in an hour later. My father was operated on Saturday. I was worried about what the doctor would say about his health. The operation went on for two whole hours. I wondered if I would be able to see him again," she trails off...
Tiwari had to alter her shooting schedules. "My Kasautii shoot was on, but I had it rescheduled. I couldn't go to the sets one day as I had to be with my father, and another day I only went for a few hours."
"Luckily the operation was successful. His condition is much better now, but it will be a while before he regains his health. He has been advised to rest. If everything goes well, we plan to go to Vaishnodevi temple on New Year's eve," ends Tiwari on a hopeful note.
