The change in Kasauti's script-writer team, that took place sometime ago, has changed the characters completely.
Before the leap:
Aparna: The most virtuous, sacrificing, ideal wife.
Anurag: The man who loves only Prerna though married to aparna. He is careless enough to lose kids and business and can be fooled easily. But he has emotional strength. He is so virtuous that he would go against himself for the sake of truth and values
Bajaj: The tough man who keeps everything in his control. he gave a damn when his children left him to stay with their mother.
Prerna: The woman who is madly in love with Bajaj and cannot think beyond him, even if she tries to.
komolika: the biggest negative force. The character who brought glamour and fame to the serial in its first year. She was more popular than prerna.
After the leap:
Aparna: The vamp with no logic, style or purpose
Anurag: Cannot think beyond sneha and udi-his biological children and would not open his mouth when his mother is lying under oath because she is saving his criminal son. He believes in having two sets of rules- one for his son, one for everybody else in the world !!! anu wants to marry sam and has feelings for her , and also has feelings for prerna.
Bajaj: wimpy powerless husband-fathe who doesnt go against his evil wife because he doesnt want his kids to get affected. has lost control of his house, his kids, and his life. doesn't deal with anything anymore- has become a silent observer. only achievement after the leap has been revenging kasak's insult by taking over basu publications.
Prerna: has completely changed. no longer loves her husband (not due to tanisha, even before that), no longer loves the kids who are bajaj's -including kasak(imagine a mother who gives a damn about her own 'biological daughter'). her life revolves around anurag, sneha and prem now. except these 3 persons (and herself), doesn't care about anybody else in the world.
komolika: going, going, GONE !!!
