Shweta is my mother, says Shubhangi
After Kasturi, Shubhangi Atre of Kasturi fame is seen in Jalwa 4, 2 ka 1. And while this maybe her first reality show, the actress says that the fact that it's a dance show makes her feel happy and flattered.
"The show is a combination of comedy, singing and dancing. This is what interested me and dance has always been very close to my heart," says the thrilled actress.
Shubhangi has already shot for 3 episodes of Jalwa. "Jalwa mein you are given marks separately for concept, performance and expressions which is one great thing about the show," she explains, "Recently I performed salsa with Krishna and I simply loved it…it was great fun!"
Dancing has always been a passion for the Kasturi star and she is a trained classical dancer.
"I am a trained Kathak dancer. I've performed at national levels. I simply love dancing especially classical and folk dancing," informs Shubhangi.
Who amongst the judges is her favourite?
"Both the judges are nice. Both Satishji and Mahimaji are impartial. They equally observe every individual and then comment. The best thing about them is they are very straight forward. If they don't find a performance dignified, they say it openly"
Shubhangi was earlier in Shakti Kapoor's team along with Krishna and Tanaaz but she has now switched on to Shweta Tiwari's team. She feels that working with Shakti Kapoor has been her honour for her "Shaktiji ne ab tak 700 films ki hain. He is full of immense energy and dedication. It has been a great experience," says an elated Shubhangi.
"But Shweta has always been my mother in the industry. She has been like my elder sister. While I was in Kasturi also she guided me completely," says Atre fondly.
