Hey Abhi,
That was a looong update, thank you for that first. Worth the wait. When are coming to present? Everything seems normal from Jai's side before marriage, what happen that he ignored her very presence for a year after marriage?
Somehow I feel that Bani is not normal. She is looking for love and care from people other than her own parents. I doubt any parent would appreciate their child going out to find love and care other than themselves. It looks like she is still living her childhood, not ready to mature yet. By saying yes to a marriage just for the sake that she finds people of that house more caring, is not a very mature decision to say.
Anyways that was what I thought of the character, but you have described such a complex character in a very nice way, great writing.
