Jai bani fan, aarati g, popeye, iqbal neha, perveen, amie, k1234, divan,niruba, btkr, phool, msrk, bhanu, the-rain,guli, sheena, nadia, siumi, roghna and koolgal. thanks a bunch guys 🤗 i love u all and thanku for the wonderful feed back. first time i am commenting form my office and i am feeling awful about loging on to KS from the work place.. Back to u guys. i know there are somany questions regarding the marriage. it will be known as the story progress. because i do not know yet 😕 😆 😉 . thanks yaar and silent readers out there thanks to u tooo..

one of the things i luv abt the story from the start was the role of udai walia......i dont think many have used him so interestingly before....Bravo!! 👏 👏 can't wait to see his character shaping up.... he will playa pivotal role.

i wonder who jai's brother and bani's sis were.....was it pia/roshni/rano/rashi---ranveer/puskar/sahil/nachi???or someone new???? can't wait to find out wht their story was with uday walia!! very exciting! 😃

Hi guys,
i am posting the first chapter here after the prologue have no idea how it has turned out forgive me if this did not reach ur expectations.

Chapter 1

Three years later……

Bani sat up in her bed in alarm. The knock on the door was getting louder by passing seconds. She pushed away the quilt and with thudding heart she stepped out of the bed throwing a glance at the little girl who was sleeping on the other side of the bed she ran to the door she saw Shradha stir in her sleep.
Bani opened the lock and stared at the person. Tony stood before her with beads of perspiration on his face. Bani knew something terrible has happened.

'Wh.. what happened Tony?' she asked wetting her dried lips

'Come fast Bani ma'am….Sir is not well. I … come on…' Tony dragged Bani out of the room to the corridor that led to Uday Walia's room.

They almost ran to the room. Bani saw Uday Walia lying on the bed unconscious. She did not touch him she reached for the phone immediately and dialed the hospital.

In 15 minutes Ambulance drove in to the porch with a screeching sound. Bani saw the paramedics take him away from the room to the vehicle. Tony went along with him giving her an assuring look.

Bani dressed Shradha in the morning and went to visit Uday in the hospital.

Bani stood hesitantly out side the ICU. She had to keep Shradha with Tony at the reception children were not allowed in the ICU section. She took deep breath and marched towards the Nurses desk. Bani enquired about MR. Walia.

The head nurse assured her he was fine. He had suffered a minor attack. The nurse took her to the room he was in. Bani saw many tubes running around his body she stood there for few minutes and walked out of the room.

Bani looked at his face. The ever strong Uday Walia was lying on the hospital bed looking pale and week.
Who would win this time she thought? The son or the father?

Tony met her at the reception. Shradha ran to her. Bani picked her up and walked out of the hospital.

Bani Ma'am…' she heard Tony call after her. with out turning back she said, 'he will be fine. Do not worry..'

'Shouldn't we inform Jai sir?' Tony asked with much hesitation.
Bani did not reply him. She walked out of the hospital with her child. The child, for whom, she had sacrificed so much. Nothing had mattered to her in comparison with the love that Shradha showers on her. She would do anything for her. She wouldn't hesitate to give her life if needed.

Bani never forgot the day Uday Walia stood in the centre of the room and announced Jai Marry her. She had seen the young man's face drain out of color. She had tried her best to get out of it. Uday had warned her she would never see the child in her life again.

Jai had argued to his father about forcing an unknown girl on him. No amount of reasoning changed the old man's mind.

He had fixed their marriage.

A week later, Jai Walia had tied mangalsoothra on her neck. Not once did he look at her during the ceremony. The last time Bani saw his face was when he tied the thread around her neck. His face looked harsh and rugged. His eyes slightly swollen. Bani did not see anything beyond that. Her eyes were fixed on the infant, Uday Walia was carrying proudly.

LAter in the evening

She had heard whispers floating in the air about his sudden exit to London. She had not cared or bothered to ask any one till date, what had happened to Jai Walia. It has been three years. Neither phone call nor a note came to Walia Mansion addressed to Bani.

Uday Walia was shifted out of the ICU. He was out of danger. The doctor had advised him complete rest.

Uday Walia looked around the room. There were bouquets and get well cards in the room. Tony walked in with a card and placed it on the side table.

Uday looked at his ever so loyal servant. And spoke in whisper.
'Tony…. How is everyone at home?'
Tony smiled at the question.
'Fine sir.. Shradha baby was here last day she insisted to see you but nurses did not allow her in…'
Uday nodded understandingly and he looked eagerly at Tony.
'Han sir, Bani ma'am also came. She comes every day she will look into the room and go back with Baby…'
A feeble smile appeared on his face.

Bani, the ever so loving Bani thought Uday Walia. She had been playing hide and seek with him for past few years. Uday knew Bani cared about him took care of his likes and dislikes but standing afar. She had maintained certain distance with him. She would speak to him only when necessary.

she woul appear in front of him in the office as one of his staff ,spoke only about work and when home, she would conveniently stay away from him.

He had come to love the girl as the years passed. He did not regret marrying his other son to Bani. He was too quick in taking decision. He had to, she was not willing to stay in the house and he was not willing to loose his late son's only heir Shradha. He had been living in guilt and hurt for not accepting his son's marriage. Status and pride ruled him. He often thought he was in haste to get Jai and Bani married. He had never expected his son would leave not to comeback.

Uday Walia closed his eyes at the thought. To keep his late son's child he had to loose the living son.

Did he spoil Bani's future marrying her to the man who never bothered with her? What was he thinking when he got them married? A solution for the present problem?

His eyes ached to see Jai. The only son he had yearend for years to walk in to the house and tell him "Dad I am back.."

Tears accumulated at the corner of his eyes.
Tony stared at the face of his master.
Uday Walia snapped opened his eyes and looked at Tony and whispered in an authoritative voice. "Tony get me the phone…"

Jai walked restlessly in his office. He was feeling sudden uneasiness. He walked up to the window and gazed out side. He did not know how long he stood there at the window. With the growing seconds he felt the same restlessness.
His cell phone rang and he looked startled at the number that flashed on the screen. With a trembling hand he picked up the call.
'Son… come home…'
The line was dead the next second. Jai stared at the phone.

Was that his father who had called? Jai couldn't believe after all these years.. he had called him to go back home? He walked to his desk and sat down. His anxiety grew again with the passing seconds. Did he not sound tired? Is he alright? Jai thoughts were interrupted by the knock on the door.

He looked up to find Raj Saxena who walked in whistling. He stopped suddenly at the look on Jai's face.

'Buddy, What's up?' he pulled a chair and sat down.
Jai took a minute to reply him.
'Something is not right..' he said looking at his best friend.
'What?' he frowned.
'I just received a call from India…'
Raj's scowl deepened. 'From your wife?'
Jai's face blanched. Shaking his head he said, " dad called…'
What?' Raj jumped put of the chair. 'What did he say buddy?'
'Come home..' Jai filled in for him.
'What are you going to do about it?' Raj looked at him closely.
Jai shook his head not knowing what to do he had sworn not to step his feet in that house where his dreams and aspiration had been burned to chars.

'Jai pull your self.. and tell me what are you going to do about it?'

Jai was quiet for a moment and then said, "I am going, I have a feeling something is not right…'

Raj sat back on the chair he left and said, 'you know some one else is also waiting for you there..'

Jai stared at him. And Raj continued. "You are aware of the Indian nari, pati is parmeshwar for them. She would be waiting for you, her arms stretched…' A smile formed on Raj's face. And he teased… "Aap aagaye, meine kithne saal app ka intezar kiya aap ne muje ek khath bhi nahin beja..'

'Shut up…' Jai turned his face in anger and disgust.
Raj laughed uproar sly. 'I am sorry buddy, you will have to take care of that part too..'

Jai ignored him.
'I am going for my dad.' He said firmly.

Bani folded her clothes and put them aside. Shradha walked in.
'Ma, what u doing?'
'am folding my cloths..what you want?' Bani asked the girl who looked at her with hopeful face.
'Come ma.. we will play ball..' she said holding Bani's hand.
'Now? I have work sugar, later.. take Tony with you…' she untangled her hand and kissed her hand.
Shradha shook her head in disagreement.
'Be a good girl and take Tony… Ma has lots of work..' Bani said looking at her small face that looked on the verge of tears.
'Shadhu no like Tony'. She cried.

Bani knew Shradha did not like to play with Tony. Tony wouldn't run And Shradha hated people who had less enthusiasm on the play ground. He would just toss ball and Shradha would get bored. Bani even thought at times Tony was one big bore on the ground.
Bani lifted her face up and said. "okay.. only for little while. Dhadhaji will be home in the evening and Shadhu won't be bored again…'
Shradha smiled at her nodding. Bani wiped her face and took her to the play area.

Tony packed Uday Walia's medicines and stuff and got ready to leave. He handed Uday Walia's walking stick to the old man and looked at him.

'Come on Tony…' Saying that he walked out of the room his head held high.

They were at the Porch of Walia mansion in twenty minutes.
Bani saw him get down from the car with the help of Tony. Shradha ran to the porch to welcome her dadaji. Uday Walia smiled at the little girl who hugged him. He did want to lift her up but the doctor had advised to take care. The child took his walking stick from his hand and gave her small hand for him to hold.

In Another second a taxi drove in to the porch and stopped behind Uday's car.
Four set of eyes turned to the car as the door opened and Jai Walia stepped out looking dashing. Tony's mouth dropped opened. Uday looked at his son who paid the taxi driver and turned to his father.
Bani stared at them from the window with her heart in her mouth. In another second she moved away from the window and tiptoed to her room.

i cant believe it that he just left and refused to come home for three years.........feel soooooooooooo bad for bani and jai i guess...
