Jai and Meera have no relationship he is only melting due to Ganga coz she is a part of him and Bani. So somewhere Bani is also a part of Jai's life. He is only civil to Meera when he neeeds to know something about Ganga or when Ganga asks him to be.
I dont get it like Meera's Mangalsutra constantly breaking and Bani saving it ... what does that insinuate.
Then they constantly play the Jai sia ram tune whenever Ganga is bringing Bani and Jai together or when Jai unknowingly is gonna do something for Bani.
What are the creatives playing at?

Does this mean that women who do not wear mangalsutras have no relationship with their husbands?

Jai and Bani also do not have a strong relationship - if they had one they would not be separated for 10.5 years of their 12 years of 'marraige'. Just having a child between them does not make a relationship strong, Jigs and Adi have 3 children and grandchildren. A relationship has to be worked at by both parties concerned - things like sindoor and mangalsutra are just symbols of a relationship. If you see the communication between Meera and JW (whatever little there is at present due to Ganga) it is problem solving oriented. Whereas JW-Bani communication or lack of it has only created problems and misunderstandings in their lives.

My symbolic (I don't think the writer's give a second thought to any symbolism) interpretation of the scene today would be that it shows that Meera's relationship with JW is fragile but Bani has now taken it in her hands and she will the one to fix/strengthen it.

soap-critic u are saying that JB does not have astrong relationship because they have separated more than staying together but sorry to say that i disagree with u here.

Jai and Meera to us does not have a strong relationship because not once but twice her mangalsutra has fallen and this time it broke and there are other reasons for me saying so too. JB has such a strong bond that even intheir separation they still are with each other and up till date loves each other. Although separated their souls have never separated.

To me the symbolism today was that since mangalsutra broke in mandir even God does not accept Jai and Meera's relationship and yes Bani will fix but it will still break .....why?.....because this is the 2nd time she fixed it, the first time too she fixed it with assurance that it will not break but it still broke

Meera's MS breaks in Bani's presenc. This indicates that meera can dream about being Mrs. Walia only when Bani is not around. BUt she is & in her presence meera has no relationship with JAi. Its non existant. Doesn'r Meera know it.

Today when Thakurain was stopping Bani from joining the pooja just because her hubby is not withnher I wish meera should have been thinking that then even she has no right too because her husband is not with her in real sense. At least bani's husband thinks about her 24/7. For Meera Jai doesn't think of her as his wife. Thats only Bani 😳

Since when has the mangalsutra become so important for Bani? She has never been wearing it after she came back to WM after the first leap and DDG drama. She was not wearing it when JW threw her out of the house. After that he burned all her belongings. Where did she get her mangalsutra from? Why all this now when she did not respect it by wearing it when she was married to JW and living with him?

So if mangalsutra breaking has symbolism then not wearing mangalsutra while married should also have some symbolism right? It should work both ways. Bani also did pooja's and went to the temple without wearing a mangalsutra. So was God angry at her for doing that and so separated her from her husband? Please let us not bring God into it. The creatives can mess with God - I don't want to.

Suwas - society sees a couple - a husband wife together - people cannot go into other peoples's minds to see who he is with mentally. Also, Bani's husband thinks about her with bitterness and hatred not with love.

bani's husband might feel he is thinking about her in hatred..but isn't hatred and love 2 sides of the same coin? and also they are in each others thoughts 24/7...the person meera thinks as her husband does not even acknowledge her as his wife in his mind,in his heart....only time he acknowledges her is when he wants to make his only wife jealous....

I'm happy Meera's MS broke, why did Bani have to save it though?

soap-critic,

Mangalsutra breaking does have meaning. Since mangalsutra is suhaag ki nishaani and if it breaks while u wear it then something bad will happen to your husband but here Meera's mangalsutra broke while Bani's did not and their husband is Jai Walia. Bani's did not break because she is connected to Jai from her soul and will never lose him even when far from her but Meera's broke because no matter how many times Bani saves it for her Meera will eventually lose him one day and also by saving Meera's mangalsutra Bani is saving her husband

[B}Since when has the mangalsutra become so important for Bani? Well wearing mangalsutra or not, Jai is still Bani's husband and the bond still exist but the thing is her mangalsutra did not break and it is still intact even after he married Meera

So what if she does not wear it my mom and most Gujaratis also does not wear it everyday but yes when they wear it, it never breaks and if it does it means something will happen to their husband or they will lose their husband.

i didn't say that other ladies should have said something like that to Meera too. I said I wish Meera had thought that in her mind. Her condtion is worse than BAni in that respect. Bani's husband did love her at least for some time. Worshiped her actually. Eve now unknowingly he is still faithful to her. Meerra is not real suhagan even though from appearances she is. Her husband has never accepted her & I am not talking the way she thinks or Jigs thinks that is some how spending night with her under some pretence not relally knowing/caring whom he is with.He looked at bani when relatives mentioned his wife & was irritated to see Meera treated like one. That tells all. MS breaking just supports it.

As for Jigyasa Adi does love Jigs even though tey are divorced. So in tat sense they still do have strong bond.

BTW Bani's husband thinks he has hatred for her but its not. For him bani is his wife & not Meera . Tahts the reason why he was staring at the hankerchief stained with Bani's blood with guilt after he hugged Meera. What he feels is jealousy & despair of loosing her not hatred.
