Part 4

Jai Walia was a man who liked to play games, especially with women. He mused silently, staring at the distressed woman before him, a tingle of lust enveloping his senses. He wanted her.

"Mr…W..Walia" she whispered in a timid voice, as if suddenly scared of his sarcastic comments.
"Oh….so she does know my name, may I ask how?" he smirked, not wanting to miss the opportunity to poke fun at her.
"Magazines meh…"
"Really? I had no idea that you were such a huge fan of mine. Would you like my autograph?"
His eyes twinkled in delight, his fingers reaching out for a pen, as he saw her eyes flash in anger- things were finally looking up!
"Well?"
"N..No Sir, I…"
"What? So does this mean you do not like me? Or think I am not 'hot and happening'. What ever happened to Mr.Walia…I thought we were finally on names now…since you so kindly decided to say you knew mine." He drawled in a sarcastic offensive tone, his eyes never leaving her.

Bani stared at him, her body heaving in anger. He was a complete Jerk, how could she have fallen for such an a** like him. Oh God, the media had a cruel way of lying to her about certain people, one of then was him.
"YOU, never asked for my name" she accused, finally finding her voice.
She saw his eyes widen momentarily, but then soften, a chuckle vibrating off his lips.
"Ahh…and she has finally found her tongue."
Bani's eyes narrowed, getting more irritated by the second, what was wrong with this man…what did he mean? Was this all a game…his toying?
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
"It is supposed to mean, that I have finally broken the shy woman who walked into the room, just 10 minutes ago. "
Her jaw dropped…so this had been a game, a ploy to make her scream…stupid piece of arrogant…
"So you are cursing me now? Tsk Tsk…. what beautiful language you have."
"What…" she whispered …she hadn't been muttering them aloud.
"Your face said it all…pretty cute too"

It took Bani a few minutes to understand what he had just said, her papers dropping from her hand. This man read her mind too well…she felt suddenly exposed.

"Cut..te?" she stammered…forgetting her little outburst
"Haan…who else is in this room? Unless you want to include my 24 year old secretary who is sitting in the lobby."
Her mouth opened, but she stood silent.
"Don't do that…you look like a fish who is gaping for air" he stated truthfully.

His words hit her ears like fire, and her anger came crashing down on her.
"YOU, stupid arrogant JERK…how dare you…how dare you" she whispered, her tone deadly

Without knowing it she had strode the length of the room, and was now leaning on his desk, pointing a finger at him.

Jai raised an eyebrow at her outburst, his eyes looking her up and down. Yes, he had purposely pushed her buttons, he didn't deny that he liked teasing this woman, but he wanted to ensure that his PA wasn't a stupid air head who only wanted him- past experiences had told him to be careful. His teasing had just been a game…a way of testing her (well so he thought).
"And…she finally fights back" he whispered, staring at her straight in the eye and admiring her ability to speak back to him.
"What" she muttered, exasperated.
"Now…come on. You don't think a great man like me would behave like this…would you? I was merely taking your …test."

He saw her purse her lips, her eyebrows knitting in confusion…it was a few minutes before she spoke.

"Test….but…I already did the interview" she whispered, her earlier words forgotten.
"Haan…you did the interview but I had to make sure certain things about my PA….like she isn't completely infatuated by me. You pass, well done Madame."
He saw her cheeks blush, her eyes averting to the carpet (Oh, if only he knew the truth!), and he chuckled once more…still wanting to torment her further.
"Let's stop all this nonsense…you wanted the card of the people I brought my carpet from. Since you were so interested in it when you first came in?"
"N..no sir."
"Are you now saying that you don't like my carpet?" his tone deadly serious
He saw her bite her lip, and look at him, confused. Oh she looked so cute… This was fun.
"No…No sir, I LOVE your carpet" she spluttered
"Are you sure?"
"Y..yes I LOVE it"
His eyes glittered; she had no idea what she was saying. She just wanted to please him. Undoubtedly because she was embarrassed by the way she had behaved earlier. This was too fun, she was so naive, but he couldn't help but frown, that he still didn't know her name
"Then…take the card"
"But…but sir?"
"Just take the card" He hushed, his voice inviting and seductive.
She stood silent for a few seconds, hesitating, before putting out her left arm. He placed it gently in her hand, his eyes noticing a thin silver charms chain around her wrist. A wave of sudden shock hit him like a current.
"Bani"

Jai drew her head back, raking his hands gently through her hair, and kissed her, his lips playing gently with hers as she groaned.
