Aww, that tie was so cute, loved it, sorry I missed commenting on the last two, was traveling yaar! My kids gave my husband some thing similar, a cute yellow tie with big bird on it. My hubby unfortunately is slightly old fashioned (I call him fuddy duddy), so the tie never saw the public eye.

Wow the kids hiding something from their father. Well is Bani going to make a special appearance.

Pushkar will bring Bani I hope. The kids are the best thing about this whole fan fic. Loved it.

The children grinned, gave her the thumbs up, when they thought Jai wasn't looking and bounced out the room, laughing!

Jai was in his room, looking through the many suits that hung in his cupboard. He was confused as to what to wear for the party. Krishna came running in and stared at him.

'Kya hua? Aap nahi aa rahe party main' she asked, confused.(What happened? Aren't you coming to party?)

Jai chuckled and looked at her. She looked beautiful in a pink salwaar suit, her dupatta constantly dropping. He picked her up and gave her a big kiss and held her. She was growing up quickly! And again his thoughts drifted to Bani,

Dil ke raaste mein kaisi thokar maine khaayi

Toote khwaab saare, ek maayusi hai chhaayi

Har khushi so gayi, zindagi kho gayi

Tumko jo pyaar kiya maine to sazaa main paayi

Krishna nudged him and he came out of his reverie. She asked again if he wasn't coming.

'Main aa raha hoon, par mujhe nahi pata ki main kya pehnu' (I'm coming but I don't know what to wear) He said as he plced her back on the ground. She thought for a little while and then gestured for him to pick her up again.

He obliged and while in his arms, she looked through his clothing and chose his black Armani suit. 'Yeh wala pehno' (wear this one)

Jai thanked her, with a kiss and got dressed.

Jai was standing, talking to one of his business associates, who had come for the party, when he heard a excited squeal from Krishna.

He looked over where Krishna and Arthva were running to. He watched as Pushkar bent down and took them into a hug. An automatic smile came on Jai's face and he searched behind Pushkar, to see if, maybe just if, Bani had come to meet him as well.

He saw no one. Disappointed, he walked over to Pushkar with a smile plastered on his face.

'Pushkar' he greeted him with a warm hug.

Pushkar wished him a 'Happy Birthday' and then handed over a gift. Jai thanked him.

The children looked at their father, 'Did you like the surprise??' they asked excitedly.

'It was a wonderful surprise.. Thank you.' They looked very pleased with themselves and ran inside to play with some other children, leaving Jai and Pushkar alone.

Jai led him in and introduced him to some people!

'This is Dammy… Anu's friend and Dammy this is Pushkar'

Dammy looked at Pushkar, at once, besotted with him.

'Hi!' she said with with a big grin and gave him a peck on the cheek. Pushkar smiled in return.

They made small talk when there was a loud shrill, Jai grimaced, at once recognising the high squeaked voice to be Pia's!

Pia walked up to Jai and kissed him on the cheek!

'Jai darling. .Happy Birthday' Jai gave a forced smile..

'Thanks' he mumbled and tried to think of an excuse to get away from her.

Pia looked around and spotted her prey… She walked over to Pushkar, who was still engaged in a conversation with Dammy.

'I'm Pia..' she said, offering her hand for a kiss.

Pushkar made a face at her, and then folded his hands in a 'namaste'

Dammy tried to suppress her giggles. Pia didn't look too pleased, but was determined not to be put off by his dismissive behavior.

'So… How do you know Jai?' she asked fluttering her eyelashes.

'He stayed at Bani's and I met him there..'

'He stayed where..?' she asked in a high pitched voice.

'uh.. Bani?'

'Who's she?' she made a digusted face.

Dammy looked a bit worried but relief overcame her when he mentioned Bani was his sister!

Massi spotted Pushkar and at once rushed over to him,

'Beta, how are you?'

'I'm fine Massi,' he replied, giving her a big hug. 'Miss your cooking!!'

Massi laughed and then asked how Tanu was doing. She was informed that Tanu was in London for some business and hence couldn't attend the party, but she was coming back tonight so he promised to bring her over soon!

Massi then asked if she the wedding was coming up any time soon. Dammy's face fell, and she quietly excused herself. No use staying here, he's engaged!! She moved near the bar where she saw a group of young men, much to her liking!

The lights suddenly switched off and there were a few squeals around the hall. A spotlight shone on Arthva, who had prepared a dance for his dad's birthday!

Jai smiled, clapping along with everyone encouraging Arthva and Krihsna who had just joined the dance

Everyone clapped and cheered for the adorable two. The kids bowed and then the music started again, where everyone was encouraged to dance. Jai opted to stand and watch everyone. He laughed watching Pushkar, who was having a hard time getting away from Pia!

His heart suddenly stopped beating for a moment, when he saw a flash of pink. He could hear his heart's loud drumming, It couldn't be!

He hurried to where he had seen the pink cloth, but he saw no one.

Ab muhje raat din, tumhara hi khayal hai

Kya kahoon pyar main, deewano jaisa haal hai

Tumhara hi khayal hai

He shook his head, blaming his on his over-active imagination. He went back to watching everyone dance. After a few minutes, he could've sworn he saw the flash of pink again. Once, I understand, but not again.

He went to investigate again, but in vain. This happened three more times. Each time, his investigation futile. Jai sniffed at his drink. He was sure he was drinking a normal Diet Coke, but had someone added something in his drink?? He looked around confused. It was even harder when it was dark and the only light illuminating the hall was the once shining on the dance floor.

Jai was walking to the dance floor, after a lot of insistence from Pushkar, Adi and Jigyasa, when he spotted the pink again. He quickly made his way over to the person. This time she was talking to someone. He out a hand on her shoulder and she turned…

So, who is it?? heheh.. That's all for now, sorry for making it boring, but this is all I can manage...
