Chapter Twelve

Rano laid on her bed after coming from college. It was almost a week there was no sign of Ranveer. Usually he would call her now that he had her phone number, or come by to talk to her. He didn't even drive by in the mornings when she went to college for the past week.

At the same time she was worried and confused, either he had given up on her or he probably had fallen ill. She checked her cell phone again for any missed calls but there were none. She opened her textbooks to study for college but her mind wouldn't focus on the words.

Instead she wondered off to why Ranveer hadn't called her or even made an effort to tell her, he was okay. She became angry and frustrated. To take her mind off these things she decided to cook lunch for herself. While cooking she heard the loud tune of her cell phone.

She excitedly ran to the phone and checked the id name. It flashed Ranveer's number and name. Without another second passing by she picked it up. "Hello," she heard his deep voice for the first time in a week. "Who is this?" she pretended she didn't care and wasn't waiting for his calls.

"Ranveer," he replied hastily. "Oh so after a week you finally have remembered me huh?" Rano spoke ignorantly. "A week was it that long didn't feel like it," Ranveer jeered. "Yes it's a week you haven't called me but why would you care, after all I'm not that important," Rano said angrily.

"You sound angry shouldn't you be happy you got a break from me, what you always want when you're around me," Ranveer remarked. Rano became quiet on the other end it was true she always did get annoyed of him so why was she getting so angry at him now for not calling her.

"Rano the only the reason I haven't called you or seen you in a week is because I had to leave all of a sudden for a conference and now we are trying to finalize a deal with a company," Ranveer explained. Still he heard no response from her only dead silence.

"I better hang up than if you don't want to talk to me," Ranveer sighed. "No wait when are you coming back?" Rano questioned. "Depends maybe a week or two until our deal is finalized with the company," Ranveer replied. "I have another meeting in ten minutes so I will try to call you later, bye," he disconnected the phone before Rano could say bye.

That night Rano didn't get much sleep she kept thinking about Ranveer and her feelings towards him. At first when she met him, she wasn't very fond of him but now she got angry if he didn't call her. Every time the phone ringed why did she wish it was Ranveer, was she falling for him?

The next morning Bani didn't have college and she went with Masi to the temple. Reaching the temple she prayed for Jai to come home soon. The past week she had missed him a lot. Whenever he called they talked for a while until he had to go somewhere.

There was an empty feeling inside her, when she went to sleep he wasn't there to hold her in his arms. His fragrance had even started to fade away from the bed and often she would open his closet to touch his clothes as a sense of attachment to him.

It was confusing to her, when he was around she didn't feel all these emotions but now that he was gone they hit her like a big tidal wave. At night when Bani went to sleep she stared at his picture that was located in the picture frame beside her bed on the table.

She took it in her hands and kissed his lips wishing he was really there with her. She glanced at the clock and yawned sleepily. Bani slept with the picture frame in her hands as she hugged it against her chest. In her dreams she dreamed of her and Jai all alone.

In Dubai Jai had just taken a cold shower, he was thinking of Bani again. The past days he couldn't sleep much and he would be lucky if he got a couple hours of sleep. He tried to reason with his feelings, why was he thinking of her so much. It couldn't be love he thought, it's too soon.

The next week Jai and Ranveer took a stroll in the mall. Jai was looking over some watches as Ranveer went to the clothes section. While looking at the watches a beautiful diamond ring caught his eye. He went over to the glass case so look at it more closely.

It was a 24 karat diamond ring with smaller diamonds on the outer circular band outlining the center piece. It was a female's ring and instantly Jai thought about Bani. It would look great on her slender delicate finger he thought. The employee of the shop took out the ring and showed it to him.

It's just perfect for her Jai thought as he held it out in front of him. The design was eye catching and exquisite. "Could you pack this for me?" Jai asked handing the ring back to the man. "Sure," the man smiled and took it to the front desk to pack it up.

It seemed like a great day for Jai when coming back to his hotel, he found out the company had accepted his deal and all they needed to do was finalize it. Signing all the important documents and going through procedures he finally was able to go back home.

The next day they left Dubai after two whole weeks spending time there. It was night time when Jai arrived to the Walia Mansion and he couldn't wait to see Bani again. Quietly walking into the house he saw the lights off and figured everyone was sleeping maybe even Bani.

He slowly opened his bedroom door and guessed right seeing Bani sleeping cozily in the bed. He smiled lazily watching her content face and he kissed her on the lips lightly. He than went to the bathroom to take a shower and change into his pajamas.

After his shower he laid down next to Bani and saw she was hugging something. He came closer and slowly took the object out of her arms without waking her up. He smiled as he saw his picture and knew Bani had missed him too. He took her into his arms gently kissing the side of her head.

Bani moved a little and made a small whimpering sound. "Don't worry it's me Bani," Jai whispered in her ear. As if she understood him Bani stilled and snuggled closer to his body.

Hey guys I wasn't supposed to be posting the part on the weekend but starting from the 3^rd of August to the 25^th will be on vacation and this might be my last update for the next two weeks or so.
