Part Twenty-Three
Squelch and squirt and squiggle,
Drizzle and drip and drain -
Such a lot of water
Comes down with the rain!
Puskar nodded and leant to kiss her forhead, when he moved back he was staring to her open eyes.
He was dazed for sometime, unable to believe what he was seeing. Then he screamed, "you are alright?"
The nurse ran to see what happened and watching the patient staring back, she ran back to call the doctor.
Puskar, who was finally able to get over the shock, asked her, "So, finally awake, Ms Sleepy head?"
In answer, she twisted her lips a bit, turned around and closed her eyes again.
Puskar didn't panic. Somehow he knew that she's going to be alright now.

Bani felt naked without the ring in her finger, empty with the feel that Jai is never going to be with her again. She stood leaning with the balcony, the air was whoosing through her hairs, she felt that life has no meaning after all.
Unable to take in any longer, she dropped herself and hid her face in her hands. Why did she do that? She doesn't know why, all on a sudden, in the heat of the moment, she took the decision. Now as she was thinking that over, she was hoping that it was a dream and she'd get up anytime now.
But unfortunately it was not the dream, and she can't even blame anyone for what happened. It's her who did this to her, to him, to them….again was it her fault? What was she supposed to do after knowing this? That her best friend and her fianc….she didn't want to think any more. Just the thought made her blind with rage, only if she knew for whom this rage was.
She was taken back to realty as a voice called her,
"Bani?"
She was not surprised. She knew he would come. She knows him very well. Or does she? Then why she never knew that…..
"What do you want Jai?" she said quite normally.
"Isn't it obvious what I want? I want an explanation, of what you did. Exactly what my fault is Bani, that suddenly……" his voice trailed off.
"there's nothing to explain." Bani said sternly, "I don't want to marry you anymore. That's it. We're over."
Hearing her say these words effortlessly and so straightforward made Jai's heart sink. At the same time, an anger was invading his mind. What does she thinks of herself?
"That easy Bani? What happened to your love?" he asked harshly than he meant to. And added in the same tone, "Forget yours, what about my love, why are you punishing me like this?"
"Love?!" Bani exclaimed sarcastically, "what do you know about love? Do you know what is love? I doubt it……if you knew what love means, you would have known that she loves you! wouldn't you?"
Jai froze on the spot, "what are you implying Bani?"
This time Bani yelled, "She kept loving you all throughout her life! And you kept ignoring her. She worshipped you Jai! she was madly in love with you, and what did you do to her? Never looked back at her where she was always there for you….you,…" she choked. Jai forwared to help her but she moved back forcibly.
"Don't touch me! I hate you! more than you can imagine, I hate you. I've hated you even before I knew you. you don't know anything, do you? but I know, she was crazy for you. she spend her life trying to catch your attention, but you were too busy to notice. But you found enough time to hurt her anyways. I know how much she suffered, I saw her dying inside……what was her fault, that she loved you? I love you too, what's the guarantee that you won't hurt me like you did with her?"
"Bani," he warned, "you are blaming me unfairly. I never had any relation with her. I never did anything that she should feel that I've some feeling for her. What's my fault? Just because someone loves me, I have to go to her? Bani you are taking her side blindly, you very well know that we were not meant to be……don't you?" he asked, trying his best to keep her cool.
"NO! I don't know. I don't know anything. How do you know you were not meant for each other? Did you ever give her a chance? Have you ever talked to her? Have you ever tried to make her understand that you don't love her and she should move on? No! you didn't. you let her suffer Jai. you are a horrible person. I'm sorry that I've ever fell in love with you!" Bani blurted out venomously. But as soon as she said the last word she knew that she's gone out of the limit.
For a long moment, there was silence in the balcony. Then throwing a dirty glare at her, Jai stormed out. Bani broke down as she realized that this time he's gone forever.

"can you hear me?" she heard someone asking her the question and nodded in affirmative.
"Good, how are you feeling?" the voice asked again.
What stupid thing to ask! She thought, I feel like picnincing stupid! By the stupidity of the questions she knew that the questioner must be a doctor! She tried to speak but it was hard, after trying 3 times she answered, "I'm okay."
The doctor smiled, "That's great! Then I should call your husband, he's waiting impatiently to meet you."
"My husband?" she stared in shock, "as far as I could remember I don't have any husbands.." she said weakly.
"May be you have an amnesia." The doctor said dramatically.
"This Is Not An Ekta Kapoor Serial." She replied sternly.
The doctor wanted to argue but he didn't and left, only to be bombered by questions from the man waiting outside.
It s***s being a doctor, he thought when Puskar finally let him go.
It su*** being a doctor, she mourned as she started to feel pain in her head and the certain names of the nerve tissues situated there started coming to her mind.

Finally I updated, I know not a good part to write after such a long long break...but seems like I've screwed up my writing in all those days...😕...so excuse me please, will try to bring back my style of writng again from onward parts......Threat or not, please let me know your opinion, as I badly need to know exactly how bad I've written...😕
Now, an very important question, what do you want in Rain Maker now? What's your expectation from in from now? Do you think that the story has reached it's climax and I should now just solve it; or do you think that I should introduce some more twists? Please let me know....😊
