What Jay asked Bani...Why didn't she address him as Mon even for once! 😳 That was really really romantic...Uh-oh before I forget, Sarika got married before completing her degree, even Bani is getting married, do you really agree with that? I mean even I am in the final year and the same age as you describe of them, I can't imagine my classmates to get married now! I know may be the age has begun..but it has just begun not ended! Anyway I forgot all that and waiting for Bani's cousins to get civilised...on her wedding day at least! 😆

Part Fifteen

"You're telling me that you're getting married in a month?" Pri rolled her eyes as Bani shrugged and placed her head on top of her hands which were rested on the desk. Pri groaned, "And you've got finals this month?"




Bani nodded, trying to hide her smile.



"And you want me to do all your shopping for you?"




"Yes." Bani said cheerfully.




"Get lost of my eyesight." Pri yelled and Bani burst out laughing.




"Sshhh, keep quiet, " Pri warned, "you're in a hospital."




Bani kept laughing and said in between, "Miss Doctor, you're my only hope now, otherwise, I'll fail in exam…..there are heaps to buy and Bhabi will kill me if I dump all those shopping on her."




"For you information, I can kill as well." Pri grumped.




"Try yaar, but think how'll you live once I'm dead?" Bani made a puppy face.




"Don't!" Pri snorted, "don't make those "I'm so helpless, so help me *smirk*" face at me."




Bani giggled, "So you're helping me, right?"




Pri groaned again, "Yaar, first that stupid CMO is giving me hell and now you…"




"What? You're having trouble at work?" Bani asked in concern, suddenly becoming all serious.




Pri made a face, "Don't know yaar, but he's just after my blood, giving me impossible time schedules and the toughest surgeries."



"But you were not supposed to do surgeries this year, it's only your first year." Bani exclaimed, shocked.




"That's the point, I think he want me out of this, don't know why."




"May be he's fallen in love with you." Bani joked.




Pri rolled her eyed, "Bani ki bachchi."


Bani giggled then turned serious again, "I mean you have to find out na what he wants.
Just go and ask him straight."




Pri shrugged, "May be I'll just do that…."




Bani looked at her and said, "Yaar, I've got something to tell you…"


Pri looked at her questioningly; Bani said softly, "Why aren't you giving Puskar a chance?"


Pri sighed, "Bani, please let's don't talk about it."




"Why?" Bani demanded, "What's wrong with him? He's good looking, smart, witty, has a good job and family and I think he loves you. What's wrong with him?"




Pri lowered her head and thought, there's nothing wrong with him, just one thing - he's not Jai.




Bani sighed exasperatedly, "It's Him again, nah?"


Pri flinched, knowing that Jai was actually Bani's fianc; these words hurt her more than before. She remained quiet as Bani continued, "You're clinging to a ghost, let go Pri. Give Puskar a chance, actually, give yourself a chance."




Pri looked at her friend and smiled slowly, it's so easy for her to say that...."Bani…will you ever let Jai go?"




Bani shuddered at the thought and said, "Why bring him here?"




"I was just comparing Bani," Pri said quickly, "to make you realize that it hurts, so please don't talk with me in this topic any more."



They both were silent for some minutes and then Pri got up, "Got to go for rounds, don't worry, I'll be at your home this evening, then you can give me your shopping list."




She punched lightly on Bani's shoulder and left hurriedly. Bani sat there, thoughtful.

"Are you ever going to come back?" demanded the small voice over the phone. Jai smiled little..seriously it's only a week that he's left her there. He replied, "Off course Baby. I'll return..why shouldn't I return?"




"When? In a week?" she asked hopefully.




"Are you missing me, sweety?" Jai asked affectionately.



"No," she said stubbornly. "Autistic children aren't supposed to miss their close people."




"Who said you're autistic?" Jai asked slightly annoyed, "Don't believe what people say. You're just as normal as everyone else."




Cissy smiled, "I read it in my medical report."


Jai groaned, too smart for her own good.




"Will you come back only after the marriage?" Cissy asked timidly. Jai could clearly hear the sense of insecurity in her voice, "You want me to come back before that?"




"Yes." She said softly.




"Then I'll come back." Jai replied.




"Promise?"




"Promise."




Cissy smiled and handed the phone to Jessica and went happily to read "Future Human Evoulutin Eugencies in the 21st Century."




"Hi Jai, " she said excitedly, "See, I told you. She's improving."




Jai chuckled, "off course, after all Autistic children shouldn't miss their close people."




Jessica smiled, "That child! She's so cute, can't be wrong for a moment. So how are you going to come back before the marriage? You promised her."




Jai sighed, "I don't know."




Jessi suggested, "Or may be I could bring her to you."




"Will you?" Jai asked hopefully, "That'd be awefully good of you if you do so. Mother is in no mood to let me go. And Jigs Didi is hyper over the arrangements."




"And you don't want to leave your lovely finace, do you?" Jessica teased.




Jai didn't reply and Jessica smiled, "Ok, don't worry. I'll bring Cissy there…You have to manage my Hubby for that."




"Don't worry about him; I've left him so much work that he won't notice that his wife is missing." Jai lauged.

The day was like a hell for Pri. First the moring conversation with Bani, then she found that her patient chart was missing. And she had to listen to a long lecture on "Carelessness - the death sin for a doctor". Moreover, when she came back from washroom, she found that on the back of her medical jacket "Bitch" was written with black marker.




The situation was just getting worse by each passing day. She wondered what she did to the CMO that he's hell bent to destroy her. As she was cursing her luck and life and making a new chart of patients, she received a phone call from Puskar.




"Hi, what's happening in your life?" Puskar asked in his usual cheerful manner.




"Noting enjoyable." Pri replied shortly while adding a patient's medicines in the chart.




"Wanna have lunch with me?" Puskar asked hopefully.



"Lunch? Never heard of that word." Pri said sarcastically, "I'd be lucky if I can grab a stale sandwich and a cup of cold coffee from the caf."




"Hard times, eh?" Puskar asked sympathetically, "That's why I'm telling you to give up that job."




"Oh, you're in for offering me a new job then?" Pri asked.




"Yeah, of my wife, how does that sound?" Puskar replied cheekily.




Pri laughed, "You're such an idiot, Puskar. I'm cutting the line now."




"Ok, " said Puskar and added hopefully, "Can I call you again?"



"Ok." Pri said shortly and disconnected the phone, a smile playing in her lips.




The day isn't that bad after all.

Jai was ordering his manager something over the mail, hence he's typing furiously on his laptop. He was lying on his stomach on the bed when Bani entered, dumped her bag and laid down on the bed beside him.




"Hi Honey." Jai said unmindfully.




"I came here to tell you that you won't be seeing much of me next few weeks." Bani said grumpily.




"Why such pleasure?" Jai joked.




"I've got final exams stupid." Bani replied as she ruffled his hair with her hand.


Jai scowled and warned, "How many times I have to tell you not to tempt me like this Bani?"



Bani ignored him and continued doing what she was doing. Jai bit his lip and slowly kept the laptop aside and to Bani's shock started tickling her.



Bani started to laugh loudly and said, "Have some pity on this poor girl. She's to stay away from the very special person of her life for the next few weeks."




"Really?" Jai raised his eyebrows, "That special person being?"




"My would be husband…" Bani replied shyly as Jai caressed her cheek.



"I've never seen girls be so shameless with their would be husbands before." Jai mocked her and she puched him on his stomach, "Zamana badal gaya hain"




But Jai wasn't listeing to her, he kissed her sofly on the lips, Bani mocked him using his words, "I've never seen boys be so indecent with their would be wives before."




Jai laughed, "As some pretty lady has said, Zamana badal gaya hain."




Bani smiled and hugged him, pulling him on top of her. Jai groaned and angrily said, "Bani, why don't you answer my question? I've been asking this to you forever."



"What?" Bani asked confused while she pressed her lips on his ear lobe.




"Why are you so soft?" Jai asked kissing her on top of her head.




"For you?" Bani suggested.




Jai pulled her face and kissed her passionately on the lips.

Mmm, I guess I've written a longer part than usual...so let me know if you had some extra sleep while reading it....😆.....actually I'm being werid this days...too weird..and I really don't know where the story is going.....so less trouble I guess....once I come back to my sense, I'll bring troubles...😆...leave a comment anyways, I guess they're less by each update....why shouldn't they, after all so boring parts...duh...I'm completely out of my mind, I'll end up writing the Author's note longer that the update, so I'm fleeing...😛

the little girl is Jai's cousin, who's an autistic child and whose mother was Uday Walia's sister.......Jai got the responsibility of the girl and her father's business after her father died..... details in Part Three...😃
